I checked out Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop in Chandler, AZ with a friend and it was my first time there. I am someone who always gets the French tip when it's on the menu, so that's what I got. The French Dip was next-level good and packed with tender roast beef, melty Swiss, creamy horseradish mayo, garlic sauce, and the au jus for dipping made every bite even better. Their bread deserves its own menu and love too because it was perfectly soft with that fresh, bakery-style texture that makes a sandwich unforgettable. They have a huge lineup of hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, salads, and minis, but the French Dip absolutely stole the show for me. And the FREE chocolate chip cookie with your purchase? There was a location that had the local high school make a sandwich so they can get featured at their shop and it was so good!!! I can't get that sandwich again because I don't remember which location it was!!! lol Anywho the Dutch crunch is def the bread you need to get and everything here is good. I ordered on the kiosk but it lagged soooo much I wasn't sure if my order went through. I tried to print a receipt but no worky work. Let me say that this place is the best for a consistently delicious sandwich that hits every time. The food is out quick with quality flavors. I got the SPICY BIRD!! In the area today and had been wanting to try this sandwich shop. My son, my daughter and I came in and we were pleased to be first timers. It was around lunchtime and so there were a few people inside eating in, but we wanted to take advantage of their carry out. After reviewing their menu, my daughter and I went with the Italian sub and my son got their Goat. Both my son and daughter got theirs on the Dutch Crunch Roll & I opted for the Sourdough. Noticed that it looked to be the bread is brought in by their vendor & then it's baked off in the over prior to filling each order. Service was good. However, I'd have to say for the price the sizes (3,6,12") is a little on the steep side IMO. The crunch bread my kids got they were really not a fan of. It was far too crunchy & difficult to bite through. Mine was fine, it was soft. That said, not a lot of filling between the two slices yet the meat was pretty tasty. Customer service isn't the greatest said hi and explained it was my first time so the guy at the counter told me to turn around and look. My sandwich was a hang loose so excited to try it, got home and I was given roast beef instead of pastrami!! Huge disappointment. When they call you to pick up your food it's just left on the counter after and when I said thank you no on turned around and acknowledged me. Customer service was poor. Sandwich was fresh. I ordered a goomba from mr pickles... i will definitely never order from this place again. I got two sandwiches and two sides for my boyfriend and myself and his sandwich was supposed to be the same size as mine but was literally half the size. He had to get food after because it was so small, paid $17.09 on doordash for that! And my sandwich is supposed to come with vinegar, lettuce, pepperoncinis, pickles and red onions + the mustard i ordered. I got a meat sandwich with two pieces of cheese. The sourdough was so dry. I ordered sourdough bread. It seemed under-baked. The taste, color, and texture were not what you would normally associate with sourdough. My experience was not the greatest. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I was a little taken aback by the price of sandwiches, but I did notice how they have added some value, based on the Mr.Pickle signature sandwich I ordered. First, the Dutch Crunch bread is really interesting when it comes to texture. And second, they use actual chicken breast chunks and not sliced lunch meat chicken in the sandwich. I thought the chicken could have been slightly more seasoned, although the amount of avocado and mayonnaise that comes on the sandwich may have overwhelmed my ability to taste the chicken. So overall a satisfying sandwich experience, but I think there's a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to knowing what to order -- or how to order (I think I should've asked for the avocado on the side). I will likely return in order to try their pastrami on marble rye. read more

So, there are a few things to like about this place ... bread variety and quality are excellent!! Sandwich choices are substantial, not like Cheesecake Factory substantial, but lots of great options. Plus, CF menu is unnecessarily large. I mean, pick a lane. My number one issue, no unsweetened iced tea. It's what I drink. They had iced tea 0-xxx calories, which looks like they have an unsweet option. They did not. Second issue was cost. It wasn't crazy but a half sandwich (see photo), chips, and a drink came to $13. Not horrible, but it looks like a whole sandwich, chips, and drink would be close to $18. I'll definitely go back. But, will probably just get a whole sandwich and water for about $14. As a California native, I love Mr. Pickles. I was so happy see them expand to Arizona. The Chandler location finally opened so we came for lunch as soon as we could. We arrived around 11:30am and was able to place our order right away. Service was friendly and fast. I built my own sandwich and my husband ordered the Italian. Sandwiches are massive. They don't skimp on the meat or cheese. The Dutch crunch is next level, easily the best part of the sandwich. And a fresh baked cookie with every order? Yes please! I ordered the Truly Vegan and asked which buns were vegan. I was told all their buns and bread have eggs in them. Really? This is the first sandwich shop I've ever come across this. Then I asked about the tortillas to make a wrap. The girl asked a guy in the back if they were vegan and he said no, they contain flour and she repeated that back to me. Ordered the "REUBEN" Pastrami, Swiss, Sauerkraut, Thousand Island on Toasted Marble Rye. To me it wasn't toasted which would have helped the flavor. If it was toasted it was in the toaster for less than 10 seconds and maybe just warmed I don't know just a hunch. I couldn't taste the thousand island. I had to open the Sammie up to see if they maybe forgot to add it. It was such a small amount it hit that Sammie at 1,000 miles an hour. They could have been more generous with the sauerkraut too. I have to say they were generous with the meat but needed to step it up with the extras to make it pop! The service was very friendly and they do a brisk on line order business. Constant stream of customers picking up orders to go. The ambiance you get is basic clean surroundings with a subway kinda feel (green paint with yellow and white subway tile) like the other place you've heard of. A few outdoor tables and chairs next to the parking lot if you want to eat outside. I found the pricing to be on the high side $32 for two medium Sammie's a bag of chips and a drink. But all the competition is charging about the same these days. Bottom line: it was good. But it wasn't great. It wasn't fast and I felt like they could have hooked up my sandwich a little bit more. I don't think I would go back or go out of my way the next time I'm feeling a Sammie. But give it try and you just might feel like it works for you. read more

This place is great, the Dutch bread is probably my favorite type of bread and I thought only Ike's had it. The ambiance and prices are like typical sub shops now. They warrant the price - the subs are rotund and full of fresh ingredients.
