Great lunch spot in Chandler! I have received a lot of recommendations to check out Sourdough & Co. I wish I would have gone sooner! Walking into the store, the first 2 things you notice is that it is busy!, and the heavenly smell of fresh baked sourdough. The staff is extremely nice and patient, willing to answer questions if you have any. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating, even though there is a lot of tables it is definitely not enough during lunch time. I ordered a 6 inch frensh dip and their bowl of clam chowder, all to go. Driving home with my to go order was torture! My entire car smelled like bread that just came out of the oven!!! The French dip was delicious! The shop provides a giant cup of Au Jus with the sandwhich, there is no way you are going to use it all! The sandwhich was well belanced with the meat and cheese, and the flavors were a great combination. The sourdough bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely recommend checking out this sandwhich. The bowl of clam chowder is the reason I know I will be consistently coming back to this shop. As a clam chowder snob, I am obsessed! The portions of ingredients were great, not too many of one ingredient. The soup was creamy but not thick like glue, great consistency! I have been wanting to try Sourdough & Co. for a while now and finally found myself near one back in January. I was greeted right away by the friendly staff behind the counter. I asked a few questions and he was helpful and patient with me. I ordered the 6-inch tuna salad sandwich and it was ready within minutes. I couldn't stay and eat the sandwich there, but you best believe I devoured it in my car. It was absolutely delicious and wish I had gotten an 8-inch instead. My husband and I had such a delightful lunch at Sourdough & Co last weekend. We stopped in around 12:30 and there were a few patrons inside. The gal at the register was very friendly when taking our orders. My husband and I shared a small order of mac & cheese, which was SO good. It was really creamy, hot, and full of flavor. For our sandwiches (we could've shared because everything was so filling!), I got the crispy crunchy chicken, which per the menu, is: Carved Chicken marinated in Ranch Dressing. House Spread, Crispy Tortilla Chips and Onion Mix, Lettuce, Tomato, Monterey Jack Cheese, Prepared Hot. My husband had the Italian. Both sandwiches were really good. A great spot for a quick lunch on a weekday! My friend and I decided to share a 4 inch signature smoked brisket and the turkey and pastrami sandwich. When I can't stop thinking about a sandwich/meal days later.. you know it's good! This cutie little 2 year old shop in Chandler was a hit. Lunch time was bustling, and seating limited. But great vibe. The manager was friendly, greeted all his customers and came and chatted with us since it was our first time! I ordered a ham & turkey sandwich. Options to get it toasted, I did not. But the sandwich came out WARM, which warm sourdough is HEAVEN IN YOUR MOUTH. It was chefs kiss delicious. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy with my choice. My friend got a toasted turkey pesto and clam chowder. The clam chowder was a nice touch on a winter cold day! I also purchased a WARM, melt in your mouth chocolate chip cookie. Over the past few years I've had 4 different sandwiches, 2 soups and 1 salad. All of them were high quality and delicious. They always have a line for lunch but it goes quick and the food comes out at good speed. The workers are all friendly and answer questions I may have. They have about 8 tables inside and another 5-6 on the shaded patio (shared with neighboring ColdStone). In my original review I only rated 4*s as the prices were a little high...but other sandwich places now charge comparable prices but the sandwiches here are immensely better. First time checking it out for lunch! I got a 6" #3 Turkey with cheddar, hot, no tomatoes. The bread is great! The size of the sandwhich was enough for lunch, however to add on chips and a drink was $3+, and if you wanted to add any extra toppings it was .25 each. The food was a little pricey, but the flavor was good. First impressions are so important when you are trying to earn business. From the friendliness of the staff to the value your customer believes they are getting for their hard earned money. We walked in on a slow afternoon and were not greeted. It immediately felt like we were a bother. Servers walked around like zombies. No eye contact. Cashier overcharged us and we had to call it out. Ok, people make mistakes. He apologized. We were surprised to see a 3% charge for credit cards. I understand restaurants operate on razor thin margins but when I have such a broad choice of sandwich places to go to, it's one more factor to consider when I choose to dine out. The sandwiches took a while to prepare and were okay (for $34 total with drinks.) Honestly, nothing special. With the cost of dining out becoming more and more expensive, I would rather find a restaurant happy and eager to earn my business. Love it! Got the pastrami Reuben, absolutely delicious. The sourdough was light, that is to say not overbearingly sour, solid crunch and soft after bite. The pastrami was tender and it even had a spicy type mustard (which I'm typically not a fan of) but it was just an overall solid sandwich. We loved the fresh sourdough bread! Incredibly yummy sandwiches. I won't be back only because the lady cashiering was very short with me despite no line. I felt like I was inconveniencing her when I ordered and it made for a poor first impression. I gave the lady a second opportunity to smile or show some type of warm friendly service when asking for a box 30 mins after dinning in, but she was passive aggressive. I've literally never have this type of experience anywhere. Even at a fast food spot like McDonalda. Usually service workers don't outwardly express that they don't want to help by huffing and rolling their eyes soo that's why my review is low. That person needs to be coached because they're a reflection of the business. Another customer's photo from 2 years ago shows her in it, so I know she's not new. **Update: The manager explains why the online ordering wasn't working but fails to explain why they never answer the phone. I also know that I attempted to online order at least 40 minutes prior to closing. I've called even during the day and they don't answer the phone. Tonight I tried at least 5 times and it was picked up and hung up. Hire people who can handle their job please. The customer service sucks!!!! They don't answer the phone at least an hour before they close and shut down the online ordering as well. Tried ordering online at 6:30 and they close at 7 and it was denied. This has happened on multiple occasions, not to mention the mistakes on the sandwiches. I've ordered the turkey cranberry and they forget the cranberry. When I called the manager the excuse was they didn't read the ticket. It says cranberry in the description. They don't care and just say we'll improve next time. They don't deny my tip though!!! They can't handle the business so let's stop giving it to them. I will never go to World Of Sourdough again and we went regularly. Could have been a great sandwich place but the lack of consistency, rude staff and long wait times will eventually catch up and already has for me! read more

We came here a few times and it was always either just after they closed or it was a holiday and they were closed. It was our fault for not double checking but we finally came here when they were opened. There were a few people here and the menu had a lot of food that sounded good. We ordered the 6 inch French Dip ($12.99) and a 4 inch Pastrami ($8.99). We made one sandwich a meal for $3.95 more which came with a bag of chips and a fountain soda. When we were waiting, there was the lunch hour rush and it got super busy. They brought out our food at the same time. The French Dip was not bad and would have been good if the au jus was a little bit more salty. The Pastrami was also not bad and we were comfortably full after everything was done.
