My husband and I went there for the first time. Unfamiliar with the menu, he asked a question and the girl just pointed at the menu. After an order was placed, we told them it was to go. In addition to getting the order wrong, they kind of threw the 3 sandwiches on the counter. My husband asked for a bag, and she halfway opened a bag and threw it in top of the sandwiches. On top of not being able to tip less than 15%, the service was completely unacceptable. Never going back. Too bad I can't give less than one star. read more

Not freaky fast. Ordered ahead, came in 20 min later, they hadn't even started my order. 2 people working that's it. They had 2 wraps being made on the line at the time I came in, so obviously they had more than enough time to make my 2 sandwiches. I had to throw my sandwich away because the bread was SOAKING with mayo and every ingredient was doused with it. I didn't ask for extra mayo. When I squeezed the sandwich lightly, watery mayo oozed out of it. I used to work at Jimmy John's in Oregon city, and we never put that much mayo on a sandwich unless they asked for extra. Confused why there are so many negative reviews for a fast food sandwich shop. Prices are way high for no reason, but the food is good and decent. Lots of meat and varieties to choose from. I was a little upset about getting a tuna sandwich and the tuna mixture being stuffed with celery (doesn't say anything about that on the menu) The bread is good but I only saw one option? From the horrible and rude customer service, to the manager, who knows absolutely nothing about their system, the rewards program, and beLittles and puts down other employees, or the fact that it's always short staffed. I normally don't leave reviews for places, but my god is the service here HORRIBLE. Few days after eating here I got sick, and I am convinced it's because of this place. That one guy, I think his name is Roger, made my sandwich after texting someone on his phone (without changing his gloves). Not only that, but I kept overhearing him talking to his coworker about VERY INAPPROPRIATE stuff. Placed an online order at 1:16pm. Arrived in store at 1:26pm. I stood and waited until 1:42pm after being told twice my order was about to be made and they'd have my order to me in a couple minutes. But when two other customers arrived in store and placed their orders and received their orders before me I asked again what is going on? Love Jimmy John's! Everything is always fresh and, yes, very fast! This store seems well managed and they are always accommodating about customizing your sandwich. This is definitely my fav for the sandwich shops. I think two of the reasons are the Best Foods Mayo and their hot peppers. The only drawbacks here are you have to ask to have your sandwich cut in two and they tend to be a little stingy on the avocado spread, but all JJs are the same about both. The worst professionalism I've ever seen. I understand it's a sandwich shop but at least try and have a little bit of class when talking to customers. I placed my order and he was just really rude, the music is loud in there and it's hard to hear people. Well he's got his AirPods in as well and overall was just kind of rude! He was training a really sweet gal who had a big smile on her face. I do not want this review to reflect on her because she was doing a great job. As my order was being made I decided to walk toward the register and look around because I wanted to get his name. Hedidn't have a name tag on so I figured I'd have to wait until I perhaps got my receipt at the end. The cashier who had taken my order and was training this gal, was turned around and talking to the gal the back who prepares the items, slicing things etc. When looked at what was going on, the trainee was at the end with turkey ready to go and she was waiting for him to get the bread ready. Mayonnaise mustard etc. finally he noticed that I was kind of wandering around and he turned away from talking and slapped on my mayonnaise etc. I understand that it's a sandwich shop, and I'm not exactly expecting top-notch service, but this was really not well and it's memorable sadly not in a great way. I am not sure who the management is but they really need to encourage employees to not wear AirPods while they work because it's rude and gross especially if it falls out onto a sandwich, communicate clear and concisely and make the customer feel like their order matters. If you must eat at a Jimmy John's, I STRONGLY suggest choosing another location, or better yet, taking your business somewhere else entirely. I will not speak to the quality of food, as most fast food sandwich restaurants are fairly comparable. I will, however, speak to the staff working at this particular location. My brother-in-law experienced extreme disrespect from this location when an employee wrote profanity on his sandwich wrapping instead of his name. This kind of blatant disrespect is simply unacceptable, but to make matters worse, when the issue was brought to the managerial level, the incident was completely brushed off. As a frequent diner in the Portland and Vancouver area, I have realized that the staff can have just as great of an impact on the dining experience as the food itself. If I read reviews of a restaurant's staff disrespecting customers on such an extreme level, I simply would never take my business there. Ok so it has been a couple months since I ordered from here because of latest experiences. Well it really hasn't gotten better. So their slogan is "Freaky Fast" I placed my order at 6:04pm online and get a confirmation email. So far so good. After 20 minutes I decide to call just to be sure that order was received. I ask them how much longer until delivery, I am told that they only have one driver on at this time and it will be another 30 minutes at least before I get my order. So I tell them that I want to just cancel my order. They seem dumbfounded that I want to cancel. They actually asked me twice if I was sure I wanted to cancel. Both times I said that yes I wanted to cancel. So for me, that will be the last time I order from there. I mean their sandwiches are good, but waiting an hour or more for just a sandwich, not worth it. If you have better luck than me, congratulations. read more

I was at the vancouver mall & decided to eat here since i haven't had it in a while. My bf had never tried it so he was pretty excited because i told him how delicious it was. We came in around 6 at night & there were no other customers inside. I know that there slogans say something about how freaky fast they are. They stay true to that. Not the most professional service I have received at Jimmy Johns. Usually an extremely good place, but the new order taker, clay, was absolutely standoffish and did not ask me if I wanted anything besides chips and a drink. I was not even aware of the other options until the lady making my sandwich had asked, and clay very quickly shouted across the room to answer for me stating that I hadn't paid for it. Towards the end of my transaction, he started to realize he had not done his job properly and straightened up his attitude, but I was overall unsatisfied with today's service. First: Someone should tell these employees that they are supposed to take their gloves off before handling the cash, and put new ones on when they go back to handling the food.
