We enjoy Mod Pizzas- they had one close to us at our old residence in Arizona. We enjoy the concept of designing your own pizza and have always enjoyed our meals there. This location has a pretty friendly crew and are usually pretty prompt with our order. She said he wasn't a good fit, which he kind of knew as there are generally kids working there but he said they were hiring. I admired him for applying as he has been a professional in his industry for 35 yrs. But he broke his arm and thought it would be a fun challenge. So, Andy was training someone on how to interview and maybe the power got to her head because she asked if my husband could handle the physical demands of the job. He responded with he carries 100 lb weight up and down a ladder all day, so it wouldn't be a problem. She gave him a look and followed up with her hands, gesturing he was too big. The thing that hurt him the worst was that she was in essence discriminating towards herself, as well, because she was way larger than my husband. I am not sure how much of this is controlled by the franchise/location management vs corporate management - but Mod just really is getting less and less worth it. They skimp on everything, you have to beg to get more than 2 pepperonis, etc. It is really noticeable in that they took all the "condiments" out of the lobby, no pepper flakes, no Parmesan cheese, no sriracha, etc. When you ask for stuff like this they give you a tiny pinch. Mod is just Mod. Nothing special anymore. It's not really pizza as much as like build your own exotic pizza-quesadillas. They're fast but no longer a good value. Unless the ingredients are not fresh (they are), or your pizza is burnt (it wasn't), there's not much to complain about. Okay hear me out i love mod pizza it's ALWAYS good but I ordered today december 19th around 9:08 after I got my pizza when I was eating it I saw a piece of hair between slices where it was cut I was trying to take it out so I flipped the pizza to look at the bottom and the hair was stuck in the dough... i ripped that piece off and threw it out thinking whatever but after grabbing another slice I saw more hairs specifically all in the dough. This location consistently messes up orders and always problems with them. We tried another MOD location this evening but they wouldn't accept online ordering so back to Battleground location we went. Only to arrive and find out they forgot to make our pizza in the 20 minutes it took us to drive there. On top of that they offered to throw out pizza in the front of the line but stated it would still take 45 minutes. How the f@#*? So it's ok for them to forget your order but also make you wait an additional 45 minutes for the "Super fast" pizza they advertise, on top of the 25-30 minutes we've already been waiting to pick it up. Another MOD location in Camas had a similar problem a few weeks ago, 45 minute wait for a pizza despite the fact that there were only a couple people inside. MOD has gone downhill in my opinion and we will not be supporting any MOD locations in the future. Very disappointing. read more
