Came in right before the lunch rush, ordered our food and took about 10-15 mins. Was a little long but the food came out super fresh and was delicious. I really liked the sirloin steak sandwich and the chicken bites with their spicy ranch. The salad was nice with lots of toppings. I really liked that they had a self serve peppers bar! I'm not a fan of cucumber made into a drink but the cumber limeade was amazing!!! The restaurant was very clean, open and bright. I hate giving the Habit only 3 stars as I brought a friend for the first time to the location after bragging about the burgers. I used to live in West Seattle, and it was the best burgers I have had as they were seasoned. I sent an email to Habit Burger & Grill inquiring if there were plans to come to Portland/Vancouver. I was replied to quickly and told the plans were to be here soon. Obviously, I am excited that this has happened. We each had the Double Char Meal with Cheese. I used to have an owner that stated, "the cheapest item in the kitchen is salt, and we don't use enough of it". I thought of him yesterday, as the burger had all the necessities to be a great burger, but it had zero flavor. The accompanying fries and onion rings were excellent. The fry sauce was very good as well. The female at the counter was extremely friendly. I know Habit is a 5-star burger stop, but not today. The prices are great, but the burger needs flavor. I went inside the restaurant because I had never been there before and I wanted to look at the menu board and see what they had. I didn't order at the kiosk because my nephew and I had questions. The Teriyaki Char said it had cheese, pineapple and teriyaki sauce. I ordered it without the cheese and told the girl I didn't want anything to ruin the flavor of the teriyaki and pineapple. I got it home and it was a wet mess, and on the burger was lettuce tomato and pickles along with the pineapple and sauce. Nowhere on the menu were these items listed. I called them to complain. I could only get through to some woman with a southern accent who said she is "unable to" put me through to the store. She said she didn't know what was supposed to come on the burger, whether it was a mistake or not. She told me to go online to their website to make a complaint. I said "What is your job exactly? You don't know anything and you can't help me." She said in almost a whisper "I just take orders." So Yeah, I'm going to fill out the complaint form, but because they would not connect me to the manager I'm also going to write this negative review everywhere I can find to do so. In addition the teriyaki sauce tastes like ketchup and the pineapple is tasteless. This will be our only visit. read more

Food: French fries: best I have ever had! Burger: Single w/cheese. Bun was toasted (good) but burnt (not good). Onions seemed prentiful and looked grilled but tasteless. Don't know if cooked with no salt or why but the burger was just blah, nothing to brag about. Service: Good but had to wait a long time (ten minutes or more) for food. People were friendly and kind. A plus to coming around, twice or more, and asking if everything was okay to our table. After the place cleeared out the workers were busting it to keep it clean. Emptying garbage, refilling things, picking up every straw wrapper dropped on the floor. The employees really seemed to care about their job. Ambiance: Liked that they did not MAKE you use the kiosk to order! They had "extras" that you could add to your burgers. They had two kinds of lemonaid (one was Cucumber....yummy) and they made real ice tea that they brewed, no powder mix. After going to that new burger place that just opened in Ridgefield (ahem!) the day before, we decided to try Habit Burger...for research purposes. My husband can't stop talking about how good his charburger was. I didn't get my own burger because I wasn't hungry. I just got a shake. I had a bite of the burger though and it was very food. I like how the bun was a little grilled on the cut side to make it a little crunchy. I tried their mocha shake. Wow! It was full of flavor. I could taste the chocolate and the coffee. The day before I got a chocolate shake at that other place up the road with the loooooong line. Habit's shake beats theirs in flavor hands down. Price wise, Habit burger is very reasonable. So if you don't wait to wait in line for a burger & shake (we didn't try the fries), you might do well to go to Habit. And it's conveniently located by Trader Joe's, so it's a win-win! read more

Pretty good charburgers! Love the char taste, but overall not an overwhelmingly memorable burger. They're good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for one. By the time I got about halfway through my double burger with cheese and bacon, the bottom bun was completely soggy, and greasy. Our fries were pretty greasy too. The fries overall weren't anything exciting. Maybe they're better with their fry sauce?! I'm not one that usually orders sauce with fries, but these may require it. Service inside was friendly and reasonably quick. I think they make their food when ordered, which is nice and might be why they don't take drive up orders like a normal fast food restaurant?! Dairy Queen cooks their food when ordered and you may have to wait a little longer at times, but I appreciate the drive thru option when I just don't feel like going inside. You can order on their mobile app to pick up food in the drive thru, but I just learned about it when I visited today, so my husband just went inside to get our to-go order. Overall a just okay experience today. It's definitely not as expensive as it's predecessor, Burgerville, but I'd rather pay a little more for better quality food items. Habit Burger & Grill's wares are a lot better than I was expecting. Burgers are flavorful, although the patties are on the very small side. Most surprising was how great their chicken is. Also on offer are several salads and other chicken dishes. Parking is plentiful and easy. Staff is very friendly, professional, and helpful. One person running the front counter is particularly impressive...doing lots of quality and "completeness of order" checks before things are handed over to the customer. I've NEVER seen this level of service at a fast food chain, so I was impressed. The biggest frustrations with Habit Burger are with the mobile app and web site. I dare you to try to place an order with either. On all but one occasion, both have completely failed to allow me to place an order. So glad to see the Habit Burger make its way up to Vancouver! Having enjoyed them plenty of times in Santa Barbara and Vegas, I was excited to see if the experience would live up to my expectations--and it mostly did. The charburger is still on point with the signature grilled onions perfectly caramelized. And let's not forget the pepper bar, which is a fun bonus. Fresh jalapeños, chili peppers and more, you can really customize your bite. Also their homemade Ranch has a yummy flavor for all your fry dipping! The one downside? The wait was longer than expected. Only one of the self-serve kiosks was working. Hopefully that's just an opening hiccup. Overall, though, I'm thrilled to have a Habit location in Vancouver! While the food arrived quickly, the chicken was served at a dangerously high temperature, so hot that it actually caused burns to my upper lip and mouth. **This review is being written based on an experience only 3 days after opening** Mobile app (which I've used many times at other Habit locations) was not working this day; pick-up window can only be used with App orders, so a bit frustrating but not the fault of staff at this location. Order taker was vivacious and obviously just learning, but she'll get there. After transaction was completed I noticed receipt showed "2 Charburgers with cheese" though I clearly requested and order taker had confirmed "no cheese." This was resolved by speaking with the order taker and one of the training staff members. The wait for two burgers and two sides was fairly long (~15 mins) but again, everyone was learning. It was 25 minutes before arriving home to eat so bun was mushy, but that's on me. Burgers were well-prepared and fries, onion rings and tempura green beans were all very good. Ive wanted to try this for a long time. I go to California often but just never made it to one. I was very happy Vancouver got one! The burger was good. It had some heft to it. I like it way more than Burgerville. If they replaced them all I would not be sad. I also like the set up and how you ordered on a pad and that the drive through was online orders. Seems like a smart business model. The overall vibe feels like a updated smarter fast food restaurant. With all that said my problem is with the price. I paid 29.00 and just got a chicken bites kids meal and a double cheeseburger meal with fries and a drink. That seems like a lot for what we got. It's sit-down prices to me. Honestly Red Robin would have cost the same and been just as good. I know this is becoming more common but I still don't like it. I'm so happy that the Habit has opened so close to me! I've been three times since opening and the first two times were good, but the burger wasn't charred enough. The third time I ordered well done and it was much better, but still not as charred as what I used to get in SoCal. You used to walk in with it smoking and you'd go home smelling like a barbecue. I'd recommend that this location char their burgers more, or else they're kind of lacking. It would also help if they set out some A-1 steak sauce, the multiple locations in SoCal always had A-1. Also the fries are a little too salty. I may have to start ordering lightly salted. One other con is the drink machine location, its right next to a table. Either move the drink location or remove the table, the placement is very inconvenient and you have to maneuver around people getting drinks because it's such a limited space. read more

Went about a week after they opened. Long wait times (about 20min longer than the expected completion time). The soda was very low on the sweetener to the point we had to throw it away (got food togo). Burger was okay, not too much flavor.
