Jimmy John's sub shop- they are definitely one of the top shops! Their bread is outstanding- probably the best! My favorite is the East Coast Spicy Italian. Load it up with extra Jimmy John's hot peppers !! Yummm - their barrel pickles are also top notch!! Get a side pickle they are dynamite! And New to JJ 's - they now have toasted subs ! I have been waiting for that - it was long overdue. The staff at JJ's is awesome - the shop is clean and the ambience is a typical sub shop if you eat there. I have never been to a Jimmy Johns but I was n Winchester today and decided to stop in at 240 Rivendell CT, Winchester. I ordered a Ham ad Provolene with mayo and tomato my friend ordered the #4 Turkey Tom, well they should of just handed the bread over to us. Basically it was the most pitiful sandwiches we have ever seen $22.28 in the garbage. People need to go to Jersey Mike's where a sandwich is what you will receive and you don't have to feel like you paid for bread only. Plus the manager Jack is certainly not the right person for the title. His personality is all cardboard. Service very poor. Dont listen to anything I asked for and still refused to pay attention and listen when picking up at drive-thru. Asked over 5 time to not put mayo on sand witch and asked for sandwich to be cut. Real simple. Neither was done and guy behind counter rips the sandwich away and slams on counter and finally cuts in half. Guy in window said it was cut and I watched them both put mayo on the bread and not cut sandwich but he kept telling me they did. I kept hearing about this place, that's it's really good and everything. Sometimes the hype isn't real. Is this real though? Yeah sure, but it wasn't it's amazing fantastic, game changing sandwich. It was basic looking, but it had flavor. It was good. I like it. If Hawaii had a Jimmy Johns, I would go there instead of subway or Jersey Mikes or blimpees because it has flavor, not too salty and not too veggie tasting. I ordered a 16" inch sub of the spicy East coast sandwich. It was basically a spicy Italian with all the fixings, lettuce tomatoes and onions. I ate the whole thing... no chips, some soda. The only drawback was that they didn't cut the 16" inch sandwich. So I ended up tearing it. But JJs is better than most sandwich franchises though. read more

Always a fan of Jimmy Johns. I have been to a few locations (Morgantown, Harrisonburg, Hagerstown) but this location is by far my favorite. The other night my boyfriend and I had stayed out late seeing a movie and I was really craving some Jimmy John's afterwards. I looked at my phone when we made it back out to the car and it was 9:53. I pretty much accepted that I wasn't having Jimmy John's. The theatre was very close to Jimmy John's, so as we were about to drive by JJ's, I noticed they still looked open. It was 9:57, but I figured I could try my luck. In any other place I would NEVER do this. I work at a restaurant myself and know what it's like when customers come in last minute (irritating). But I figured, hey, it literally takes them a minute to make a sandwich. I walk in the door at 9:58 and ask if it's too late to get a sandwich. The cashier said "Of course not! What would you like?" with a welcoming tone. About a minute later, I was out the door with my sub. And it was just as delicious as ever. (I get the Club Lulu with avocado spread. Either the corporate side/local managers are pushing their delivery drivers to make their drops fast, or they're hiring unskilled and unsafe drivers. My wife, while pulling out of the admittedly tight and sometimes dangerous intersection connecting Pep Boys and Chilis, witnessed a driver pull STRAIGHT out of the Pep Boys parking lot, hitting another car. No regard for the flow of traffic, or hell, even if there was any. My wife is pregnant. We'll soon be sharing the road with your delivery drivers you employ with my daughter in the back seat. Lives are much more valuable than your delivery times, so I expect you guys to shape up and quit being morons. read more

If you are hankering for cold cut sandwiches, Jimmy John's is outstanding! The place is impeccably clean, and the service is fast and friendly. (Only one drawback - they don't accept AMEX cards). The service and management at this Jimmy John's is garbage. The cashier, some lanky kid who, visibly, could care less, messed up my order, twice, and didn't know what was on the vegetarian sub, which lead to him trying to charge me extra for stuff that was missing on the sub. The kid was terrible but that's probably because he was/is a natural idiot/jerk or because he was not properly trained. I think it was a little bit of both. The manager was chilling, to the side, talking on his phone, while seemingly not wanting to be there. When it comes to the food. The two times I've been to this Jimmy John's, our order has been messed up and every time I ask for it to be fixed, the employees look like I'm annoying them by asking them to do their job. It's not like I ask them to make substitutions or mods -- they just don't know what is supposed to be on the subs. Again, they are not properly trained. The food itself is average -- which is okay with me -- but the service really drags it down. Don't go to this place. Go to the other Jimmy John's or go to Subway. Go anywhere else but here. There's a reason why they've coined the term "freaky fast." It takes them less than 30 seconds to prepare a gourmet sub or club sandwich and they're delicious. I was a little hesitant because I try to steer away from french bread but their bread melts in your mouth. Great service, sweet vibe and seriously convenient. I have called twice wanting to try the food. I've heard it's good. The first time I called I was 2.2 miles away and they told me they couldn't come that far. No big deal, it's a little strange but they where new. I have moved since then and thought I would try them since they're right down the street. 0.8 of a mile is what the website says. So I try to order online and it says they can't find the address. So I call and the guy tells me they don't go that far. Now I have seen them a lot farther but they won't go to my house. I don't know what's happening to this location, but it seems like all kids are running it now and it's going down fast. I asked them to leave the bread in my sub and they tore it out. Even though I was the only customer, they waited to make mine until filling all of their online orders. Last time I was there, I asked if they could cut my giant sub in half and put it in two different papers so I could put it in my cooler. They refused. The girl working the slicer was on her phone with the same gloves on that she was cutting the meat with. We ordered 5 subs for our office, costing over $40, about 3 weeks ago. They were delivered, not freakingly fast, and 3 weren't done the way we requested. One didn't have hot peppers, one didn't have any mayo, and one wasn't cut in half as requested. I called to complain and a male manager said "no problem" I'll give you a free sub next time you order. I gave him my cell phone number and he said to give it to them next time I come in and he'll give me a free sub. Today, I stopped there to collect on the make good sandwich, and was told by the cashier that she couldn't find a record in their computer of this credit, and implied I was making up a story. I asked to speak with a manager. A guy named Kevin came to the counter and started off with "what's the problem?" I explained what had happened and he said unfortunately he can't find my phone number in their computer. So I gave him our address and asked him to look it up that way. He said that would take too long. I asked for the phone number of the corporate office and he said "I don't have it on me". I asked if he could look for it and he said, "look it up yourself on the internet". The manager was rude and could have cared less about the messed up order let alone the messed up promise of a free sandwich. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. If I thought it would do any good, I'd call their corporate office, but I'm just going to write this off as a bad experience. By the way, their subs are average, they skimp on meat, they only have one kind of cheese (provolone), they refuse to add salt and pepper if requested. One of the guys in our office whose order they messed up also complained that the turkey was "slimey" and tasted old. I will be surprised if this store remains in business a year from now. I have since spoken with others who have nearly the same complaints about this store. Totally incompetent management, average subs, skimpy portions, flavorless meat, overpriced, not worth it. I cry for the people of Winchester. I'm from Delaware. We have subs which some people call hoagies. What I got from Jimmy Johns was a sandwich is the filmiest terms. The lack of meat was embarrassing. I counted 4 slices.....FOUR. We recently ordered delivery at our job and 3 of 6 sandwiches were wrong. I had to pay an extra $1.50 for extra meat. The amount of meat would have been a regular sub in Delaware. This makes me so tempted to open my own sub shop so people can taste what a real sub is. Tip - I'm told they have sandwiches premade for quick delivery. Change the order like no pickles or extra meat so you get a fresh sandwich. read more
