I ordered a cheeseburger and a bacon cheese hotdog through a delivery service app. My order was correct, the burger meat is plain however I very much prefer five guys real beef patties as opposed to the fast food places nearby. The giant list of free toppings makes this place stand out. The hotdog was also very enjoyable but I did regret putting cheese on mine. No fault to the restaurant, they gave me exactly what I ordered, I only later realized cheese on a hotdog is a little weird to eat. I ordered a couple bacon burgers and a regular Cajun fries for my husband and I. My burger was decent. It was not as good as I remember it being in the past. My husband didn't like his and also thought that it wasn't as good as he remembered. Also, we usually order a regular Cajun fries and get soooo many fries. This time, we didn't get many extra fries overflowing from the cup like usual. My husband even made a comment when he saw the bag the food was in, surprised that we ordered two burgers and fries because the bag seemed small. We were really disappointed with the food. Five Guys: Good Burger or Low Expectations? Let's start with burgers at your usual fast food restaurants have become pretty pathetic over the years. By comparison the Five Guys burger is much better. But that's like being the smartest kid in summer school. I think the fries are hard to beat. I think most Frenchmen would be happy with these frites. This is a rare stand alone location that was better than average. I've eaten at dozens of five guys over the last several years, and this one had exceptional service, friendly workers, and everything was prepared just right. As this chain grows, maintaining consistency will always be a challenge for them. One of the things I have noticed over the last year or two is that a lot of the locations don't seem to throw in an extra handful of fries anymore. This one gave us more than a generous handful of fries inside your bag, and that always makes you happy. It's those little touches that make places like this so special, and they can't afford to stop doing it as they grow. I also notice and pay close attention to the attitude and friendliness of the people waiting on you when you first walk in and that they always say goodbye and thank you on the way out. Freakin delicious!!! Had to stop and see what all the fuss was about after my very picky mom raved over their food!!! Little hesitant about ordering a small fry, since I am without a doubt fry obsessed! I can never have enough of them, yet at five guys I did! As everyone has mentioned they fill a cup, or should i say overfill =) The bag was filled with fries! This alone would have been worth going back for! The staff is very friendly and the burgers are the standard high quality Five Guys burgers. The food is pretty pricey and the drink prices are laughable (I believe it was $2.59 a drink the last time I was there), but it is definitely a delicious burger. read more

My husband and I just went there to buy burgers for us and our daughter who is a vegetarian. We ordered 2 cheeaeburgers and a Veggie Sandwich. For the veggie sandwich we said no grilled peppers, no grilled onions and no grilled mushrooms, only lettuce, mayo, ketchup, and cheese. Since every other Five Guys restaurant that we have been too offers a veggie burger we, that's what we expected. However, when we got home the "veggie sandwich" consisted of the bun, cheese, lettuce, mayo, and ketchup. So apparently, the "sandwich" was the geen peppers, onion, and mushroom. The cashier never told us this. Had the cashier told us, we never would have spent $4.39 for a pathetic veggie sandwich that only consisted of cheese lettuce and condiments. We will NEVER return to thos Five Guys restaurant! read more

I took my 5 yo son here for lunch the other day and it was delicious. I have never had a bad experience here. So we ordered a little cheeseburger (for the little man) and a hamburger (for me) with lettuce, pickles, ketchup and BBQ sauce! YUUUUUMMMMMM. The food was made to order it was hot and delicious. What honestly caught me by surprise was that when we walked in we were the very first customers for the day and the place looked very very clean. Well, once we received our food I was watching the employees and when they had no customers they were cleaning stuff constantly. I watched a girl clean windows, doors, check the restrooms and restock, clean tables and even clean near the drink machine. I know this sounds stupid to be shocked by this, but you don't see this everyday. The staff looked very young and to have such dedication to their job I was more impressed than shocked. The entire staff that I had contact with her friendly and so prompt to answer a question. Mind you I had previously said it was only me and my 5 yo son so I decided to get one order of fries and share them so I thought OK a large. When I ordered the fries and told the girl we would share them she suggested a small because they give a good amount in just a small and it may be a better fit for us. WOW, the amount of fries we got in the bag was huge in a small. Him and I didn't even eat them all he actually ate the rest on the way home. All in all I am very happy with this restaurant, the employees, the cleanliness and the very prompt polite service. It was everything I've grown used to in the Reston/Herndon area Five Guys that I hit for lunch sometimes. Everything everyone else has sad, does a good job of describing what you get here. And if there wasn't a better burger place just a half mile away, I would probably be adding at least one more star to Five Guys. these are the best burgers in the country! and I've been all over from coast to coast! they've got great burgers, two patties on a regular, hand patted down, not cooked ahead of time, not frozen overnight, and fresh cut fries deliciously crispily fried in peanut oil. When you order a small order of fries, they fill the smaller styro cup and then overfill it to cover the bottom of the paper bag and more! very generous! And, they also have free peanuts in shell for your munching while you wait for the burgers. Burgers come with your custom toppings from a choice of more than a dozen veggies and sauces. Jalapenos and fried onions are delightful! thrilled that they're now here in my hometown Winchester, even though I don't live here now. Man are these good burgers! It just doesn't get any better. My only complaint is this is the only Five Guys in town (for the moment). This is the way burgers are supposed to be.
