I'm glad we did and what a great experience at Pape Village! I'd admit we aren't too familiar with Greek cuisine so it took us a while to go over the menu and had to ask a bunch of questions. It was a busy night (even though it was early on a weeknight), but the staff was very patient in answering our questions and gave us some good ideas. Unlike some other places in the area, they didn't rush us in placing the order at all and we appreciated that very much! We started with two appetizers: taramosalata (a fish roe dip) and fried calamari. The dip was great - the typical good quality you'd expect from a decent restaurant. What really surprised us was the fried calamari - it was perfectly deep fried with thin batter, and the squid was so tender :) Then, we ran into a "challenge" - we were sort of half full by that time, and judging by the food portion from other guests, we decided to order just one main course to share. It turns out to be a great decision as the main course was HUGE!!! We wanted to order the Kontosouvli Pork, but it's only available during weekend thus we ordered Pork Souvlaki instead. The pork was nicely grilled - super tender and juicy. Given the high food quality and excellent services, the price was more than reasonable. We'll definitely visit again, probably during weekend in order to try the Kontosouvli Pork :)

The other dips were generically smooth and standard tasting. - Salted Cod: When they say salted, they mean it to a too-much degree. This was basically salt in fish form, if the fish was also a bit rubbery. Side garlic mash, though lumpy, at least helped valance the extreme saltiness a bit. - Grilled Octopus: Standard grilled taste, a bit rubbery. Base salad it sat on was forgettable. Service was efficient and friendly. While we were there, it was filled with diners who seemed to be enjoying their meals tremendously, and who definitely seemed liked they'd continue the long line of folks who give Pape Village glowing reviews. So if you like Greek food and want to support a small business, drop by since I may just be in the minority here.

The food was packaged well and cutlery, tzatziki, and olive oil came in a separate little package so that it wouldn't drop to the bottom of the bag. Appreciated that the man brought the bag around so that I didn't have to reach over the counter. They were generous with tzatziki and salad sauce as well, so the meal never felt dry. Everything was piping hot, which was a godsend after a cold day walking around. I don't often find myself a fan of many souvlaki dishes I try (there's always one issue or another), but this one is solid.
