Had heard some good things about this place so I stopped and grabbed a 6-cut pepperoni while I was in the area. Unfortunately, I didn't care for it at all. The sauce was very tart and i could only eat 2 slices before throwing the rest away, To each their own, and this one just wasn't for me,

Great service and even better was their pizza! This is what I remember from my childhood. Their recipe is original from an Italian man named Sam. It is phenomenal pizza. Juicy and good amount of toppings. They don't skimp. Can't wait to get again. I was running late for pick up. He even waited for me to get there to put it in the oven so it would be warm. Epic pizza!

Stromboli with sauce in the side. Excellent, highly recommend it.

We have been coming here since 2003. Great small business that is one of the pillars of the community. The business donates monetarily to local youth sports teams. Food wise everything here is excellent. Prices are reasonable. The establishment has a handful of tables to sit and eat. I highly recommend this small business.

Yum, yum, and more yum! We ordered takeout, and wow was it good! The pizza is great. It's a perfect mix of crunch, with a super unique (almost sweet) marinara sauce. Slices are served in squares! My fiancé had an Italian hoagie, it was ginormous! Not only a huge sandwich, but very good. The bread was soft, and fresh. All of the toppings were perfect as well! I ordered a house salad which was giant! One thing, I would order extra dressing next time (only one packet provided) Can't wait to come back!

It seems pointless to parrot all of the other glowing reviews here, but I'm left with little other choice. I'm a fan of pizza, but it's not my go-to food by a long shot. However, I've had pizza from the majority of places that have or have had a footprint in the area in my forty-plus years. One of my all-time favorites was Pizza with a German Twist next to Washington high school. I know some people love Osso's, Sam's, and Hill House... That's all good. To each their own. Ignoring all of the chain places, and usually for good reason, there's no shortage of quality pizza joints in Washington county. Stacked against the rest that are currently still in business, Jimmy Z's is surely at the top of anyone's list. Anecdotally speaking, I have a friend returning to the area for the Independence Day celebrations. The one thing he wanted to do above all else was eat at Jimmy Z's. Take from that what you will. Try it, I'm sure you'll like it. Besides, it's like they say when comparing pizza to coitus....

    Stromboli

I love this place, pizza is great. The crust is always crispy which is more than I can say about other square style pizzas in the area. I have always sworn by their Strombolis as well but this time it was 90% cheese which was disappointing. I hope it was only a fluke and not how they're making them now.

Jimmy Z's makes some of the best square pizza in town. The crust is always cooked just right, and I would know because I am a pizza snob! I also recently discovered that they now make my favorite Italian hoagie in town as well. I wish I had a picture to show how yummy they are! You can also buy pizza by the slice, which is dangerous for someone like myself that may be passing through for "just a slice". You can never just have one slice at Jimmy Z's.

    pepperoni and chicken pizza

Worse pizza I have have ever ordered!!! Ordered 12 pieces and they tried to put it all in one box. One row of pizza was put on top of another row causing the slices to get stuck on top of each other. I tried to pull them apart and all the cheese and pepperoni got stuck to the pizza on top and made the dough so soggy that it fell apart in pieces. So I had a bunch off soggy, smashed pizza chunks. A couple of slices were not smashed but had almost no cheese on them. So the few slices that were not smashed were just sauce with pepperoni on top. Sounds so amazing, right? Ummm not amazing at all. I sent an email to them on their website under contact us tab and they never called, email, or tried to contact me. I have pictures of the worst pizza I have had.

I've been told that when it comes to pizza there are two camps in the Washington County area: Osso's and Jimmy Z's. Having already tried Osso's I felt compelled to give Jimmy's a try and see which one I like better. The service was fast and friendly and there's definitely more seating room inside at Jimmy's. But I suppose most people do take out, and Osso's has more parking. The pizza itself, in my opinion is a tad bit better than Osso's. They both have a very good crust that holds up well to the sauce and cheese but I think it's the sauce that put Jimmy's over the top for me. It had a bit more zest to it. It also doesn't hurt that Jimmy's will put three slices of pepperoni on a square where as Osso's only does one. I'm not bashing Osso's at all here. They produce a good product for a great price which is evident by thier customer base. But for me, I think I fall into the Jimmy Z camp when it comes to inexpensive square pizza slices in Washington County.

8 slices of cheese pizza yummmmm

Good food. Friendly service. Fair prices. Not a place to go for the scenery, but it's a typical take out pizza shop.

Pizza was real good and crispy, liked the small homey sit down area. I will stop in for a slice or 2 anytime in the area.

The staff was so friendly, we were welcomed and treated like family! The prices were more than reasonable considering what the chain restaurants are offering. I came on a Sunday around 12:30, I'm assuming after most of the church crowd left because it wasn't very busy (less than 15 customers). The lady behind the bar said I could seat myself, so I chose an empty booth. It took awhile for someone to come over and get my drink order, and customers who came in after me got theirs before I got mine. HERE'S THE THING...I only saw two women working the whole place and I didn't flag anyone down or get huffy about it...I waited and they eventually got to me. It's not like I waited 20 minutes, plus I have patience - I am an adult. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with fries, coleslaw and pickles, plus iced tea. The food came out quickly and was really good. The entire menu seemed like typical diner fare. I'm sure it's all good. The fries were fantastic! They were extra crispy, almost like they were breaded. They really hit the spot! All of this was a little over $16. Worth it in my opinion. Unfortunately I didn't think to take a picture until I was halfway done. My bad.

A Hidden Gem in Washington, PA!…read more The Washington Brewing Company is the real deal! You can absolutely taste the love in every beer--they clearly take pride in their craft. Each brew we tried was smooth, flavorful, and uniquely their own. We shared a few appetizers and every bite was fantastic, but the fried zucchini sticks were the standout--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely a must-try! Their happy hour is a great deal, and the atmosphere is just what you'd want in a local brewery: relaxed, welcoming, and fun. The location is spot-on--easy to get to, with plenty of space inside and out.
