Things have certainly changed around this shop. Communication is definitely not their strong suit. I brought my motorcycle in for a fuel issue. After having it for over a month, they finally called to say the fuel problem was fixed, but if I wanted them to continue with the rest of the work, I needed to stop by and leave a deposit. I did that immediately. Another month and a half went by, and after spending thousands of dollars, the motorcycle still wasn't fixed correctly. When I tried to discuss the issues with Jim, he was rude and treated me like I was trying to cheat him out of something. In reality, I was the one who paid for repairs that weren't completed properly. I left multiple messages asking him to call me so we could resolve the problem, and I'm still waiting for that call. I'm sure the response will be, "Bring it back and we'll fix it correctly." That should have happened the first time. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this shop. I'd suggest taking your motorcycle somewhere else. read more

after bringing two bikes and spending over $5000 to get them looked at and repaired from front to back have both the shops at another shop being fixed because everything they did to. It was trash parts and has to be redone and repaired from a clutch to regular fuel regulators to brake never ever go there read more

I needed an Allen bolt removed that was stripped inside and they took care of it right then and there even though they were backed up

I needed my scooter tire replaced and this was the only place that was able to find a tire and install it. And they did it within three business days. Other places told me 4 to 5 business days for delivery of the tire! Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Took an 08 Honda dirt bike there to have carb cleaned from sitting up for the winter. Was told it would cost 160 plus possibly a carb kit for $20-30 depending on if it needed one or not. They wouldn't know till it was apart. Then a few days later I call and they tell me that they haven't had time to start on the bike yet, and that it would be $205 for labor and parts even though they hadn't even taken it apart yet. I understand that some carbs depending on condition might need a kit, but vast majority just need cleaning. So I tell them that I am just going to pick up the bike because the person who is buying the bike from me decided he would just do it himself instead of paying the now $205 plus any other cost that they might try to add after it's actually taken apart. I was still charged $80 for a diagnostic fee for a bike that they had not even touched yet, there wasn't even anything to diagnose, it just needed the carb cleaned. Won't be taking anything else to them. I understand you have to make a living but to charge "just because" is a little ridiculous. read more

My first experience was years ago while Jim still worked from his garage at home. I had used Jim back then several times and felt he was on the up and up and was trying hard to please with good service and a personable style. He was fun to chat with. His business has since grown, he's moved his shop, and he's hired others to do the work. My opinion is ...Jim's service and ethics were much better when Jim was actually doing the work and personally providing the customer service. The experience i recently had was, Well... not good. At all. Among the tasks I hired JMS to do, only 2 of 3 were actually done. It's not worth dealing with what i experienced to even go back and request the work i paid for be completed. The service was not what i expected and not at all what i remembered. My conversations with 2 employees and later with Jim himself left me feeling ill at ease. ..Almost threatening It seemed. As for cost, the price i paid to have a carburetor tuned was more than the cost of an entirely new carb. I'm not sure what happened here but I miss the old Jim. I won't ever go back. read more
