Folks this is the same outfit as On The Boarder Motorcycle. RUN THE OTHER WAY! Hence the name Discount Motorcycle Tires. They are terrible at tire installation and customer service. They replaced two new tires and 600 miles later, I had a flat and was left stranded 120 miles from nearest shop. $1,500 later for a tow and a new tire, it was discovered the reason for the rear tire to loose air was a corroded air stem valve breaking apart. I called Discount Motorcycle Tires and their response was quote "It's your fault, you didn't ask us to check the air valve stem" in my opinion air valves are part of tire service and by default should be inspected and replaced. it's a $3-$5 dollar item and a safety issue. We are on two wheels not four. Most people would not mind the extra cost and it takes the tech 1-2 minutes to change out. Seriously folks be careful taking your bike to this place, the excuse they gave me and then accusing me of causing the tire install failure is a reflection of how you will be treated and the work they do. I called for a rear tire 240 50r 16 and was given a price of $275. Next morning i took my rear wheel down and they told me the install price was $65. I have been using their services for many years and only been charged $30 to install. I questioned the price, they looked it up and low and behold it was $30. They installed the tire and when i went to pay the tire price was $329.95. When l told them i had been quoated $275 the response was if you dont like it go somwhere else. After many years of service, i now will take that advice and all future purchases to somewhere else. read more

Very cost effective. Very fast. Have had fluid changes, brake changes, tire repairs, and new tires. Definitely better than the HD dealership. That being said, the guy at the back window doesn't even acknowledge your existence when you say hello or goodbye. He's snapped at me a few times too when I've asked him a question. Not sure what his major malfunction is but everyone else is personable and courteous. Dude in the back needs to know it's about customer service too. read more

For tires this is by far the fastest, cheapest priced As for other service I must say this place has been dwindling into a downward spiral. I had my R-1 there for 9 months Due to excused over and over. Turnaround for employees resembles leadership. I was overcharged from original quote and demanded labor and parts be deposited prior to work to begin. I come here for Honda and Kawasaki service on my motorcycles. They either sell or mount every tire I put on my bikes. I have been coming here for years. Yeah we've had a few bumps in the road, but Tom has always made it good. Ron has always been fair and honest with me regarding my repairs. He has always worked at getting me in and out since he knows I ride a lot. Renee is a terrific mechanic who has been there many years. Ron and Tom take the time to help me get what's best for my needs. Like anyplace, people are going to love you or hate you. They still sick and are dishonest. They say one thing and do another. Went in for a tire mounting. Was quoted one price which was jacked up when it was time to check out . Grossly dishonest and ridiculously priced. I would not recommend to even a enemy. They are that bad. read more

Never had a problem here. They have worked on my VTX 1800 and my Ultra Classic, always did good work. Never changed a price. Great helmet selection. Repaired my stator after 2 trys. Bike then leaked after repairs. Paid for repairs & it still leaked. Mgr wanted me to pay again, a third time. Cost total more than $600. Declining to pay any more my bike is now down with leak. Chris lied all the time. Dumb mechanics & lying Mgrs. Not worth fighting with foolish 'On the Border' repair & sales. I took my Big Dog Motorcycle in for a front tire replacement on Saturday, 2-13-16, after ordering the tire the week before via a phone call. The lady's at the counter on the tire side of the store were nice and provided great service. The tire was installed in 35 minutes and properly balanced. I was very pleased with the fast service. I would recommend this place to bikers who are particular about their service technician. Rene' is a great service guy in the tire department. Also, my clutch was slipping. The new clutch was ordered on the same day (last Saturday) and Red installed the clutch and new seals. I picked my bike up today and it runs like a new BDM. These guys are really good. Martin took time to explain each seal, how they fit in the bike and there function. Discount Motorcycle Tires has become my one stop shop! read more

I have tried to buy tires on line, I have went all over to get motorcycle tires and have found Discount Motorcycle Tires to be the greatest, would not go any other place. I ride up there and with in an hour I would have my tire on and ready to go. Don't know about the other Guy's guys review but it isn't nothing like that. I have been going there for years. read more
