I hired Jim's moving to move some big items from my rental house to my storage unit. The guys did great loading the truck, but just threw it in the storage unit for me to put away correctly when I had time. I'm very disappointed as Ive never had this type of experience with Jim's in the past. Now I'm left to attempt to move my great grandmas antique china hutch and cario cabinet without damaging it and moving a treadmill. read more

I Just had a FANTASTIC experience with 2 strong guys from JIM'S MOVING COMPANY. *Keenan* and *Dustin* were polite, professional and thoughtful as they moved my furniture (inside and out) wherever I requested. I called Jims moving to have a piano transferred to its new owner. The guys pulled up early, and introduced themselves and shook my hand when they came into my home, which I thought was most impressive. They were very respectful and took utmost care while they were inside my residence. After carefully loading my piano onto their 4 wheel cart, they maneuvered it through the doorways and out to their truck without scraping or running it into the walls and doorways. Not quite sure about the one star negative reviews, as I wasn't there, but from my own perspective, they did a fantastic job for me. read more

Interesting how there are no apologies or acceptance of responsibility in any responses to negative reviews. My name as it appears in this review WAS a customer. Movers 1. Dented the door on a $4,000 new refrigerator. 2. Crushed a doorway threshold that now doesn't seal. Requires complete door removal to replace. 3. Banged up woodwork on multiple doorways 4. Scratched new LVT flooring. 5. Showed up late and took longer than expected. 6. Scarred up stairway treads creating multiple tripping hazards. After the damage it took weeks to get the owner Brad to return my call. And another week for him to come look at the damage. I'm sure hoping that I'd get tired and leave him alone. He put a little lipstick on the pig by adding some stain to damaged woodwork and repairing nothing else. Received a $100 check in the mail to cover the damages. Wish I would have done it myself but didn't want to break anything. What a joke. One star is too good for this outfit. read more

I had never used a moving company before and after talking to several happy customers, I decided to use Jim's. The crew that arrived worked very hard. They were very efficient. I felt bad for them because it was snowing and very cold out that day. They worked as fast as they could. They were very polite. I would never hesitate to use Jim's Moving Company again. read more

We used Jim's moving in 2006 to move our home and then called them again in 2018 to move a safe to our home. Brad was great to work with! Both times the move was super! Unfortunately, we used them a couple of weeks ago to move us to our new home and thought it was strange that they didn't have water to drink as they kept drinking our bottled water and didn't bring lunch. We were more than happy to offer our lunch to them. Was let down that they did not move all the "furniture" from the old house to the new one. Said that they got it all when they were "supposedly" done. Went back to the old house and found at least 5 pieces of furniture sitting in the garage that was to be loaded onto the truck. read more

Was not expecting to be told we cant move half my packed up items. When they arrived had no tools, said the truck wasn't the correct one to move TV's ...I had the worst day of my life yesterday letting this moving company take up 5 hours of my life, and I still have to find someone to move the rest our our boxes/items. Every other moving company has moved our 2 bedroom in less then 3 hours. When you overhear rude comments from the movers that are about me and our move...who does that. I feel so disrespected I pray this place closes so this feeling never happens to someone else. read more

Thank goodness for Jim's Moving Co. From Brad's responsiveness (calling me back within a half an hour of my first message), to Sandy's ability to come up with solutions to schedule our move during a busy holiday weekend, to the excellent movers who made it happen - we are so appreciative for a flawless relocation. The moving crew of Scott, Gary "Moses" and Mike showed up exactly as promised and got to work right away. They were all very friendly and had great senses of humor, which is helpful during what is a stressful time for those of us who are moving. They were very strategic with their loading, packing, unloading and final placement of items. We had multiple levels to contend with in both directions and this didn't phase them a bit. All of our items arrived in perfect condition, which is amazing to me, as I personally have had items of mine chip just putting them in the back of my car. This moving crew is top notch! I am so thankful for Jim's Moving helping us with my Mom's move and highly recommend them! Too bad there aren't more than 5 stars to give! read more

Not sure why the bad reviews but I had a good experience with them. The guys who did the move were quick and pleasant. They did arrive about 20 min late, so that was why I gave them one less star. They were careful to handle my stuff with care and wrapped all the furniture in blankets. I told them to take care with special items and they were happy to listen and oblige. I really needed to stay under $500 and they worked with me to make that happen--they took all the heavy stuff and majority of boxes so I was able to grab the remaining boxes and random items with friends and family the following day. They even moved my treadmill and desk twice because I changed my mind how I wanted them placed. Overall a good experience and affordable. read more

We have used Jim's Moving and Delivery service for several moves over the past 10 years. We have just completed our fourth move and we were delighted again with our move! Used them because they moved me last time and did a fine job. Wont use them again. I had 5 guys and 2 trucks show up for a half house move. Was told the "extras" were because someone had cancelled and I wouldn't pay for extra truck. Well that meant I paid for the time of 5 vs 2-3 to drive 40 minutes to the new place and also for the breaks. when I got to new house, caught one guy coming up from basement "just looking". then while 2 were putting master bed together, the remainder waited outside talking for @15 minutes x 3. after they left, I went upstairs only to find my 2nd bed had not been put together (while 3 of them had been doing nothing waiting for the others). I decided to try and do myself only to find the bed frame was missing. Called and left message asking where my bed frame was. no reply for 3 days so called back and was told by Brad he had tried to call me several times (lie-not once). The bed frame was still in truck. I said bring it today and leave on porch. I didn't get it unit a week after the move and after a tongue-lashing. Then the apology for my moving complaints was " sorry we didn't bring the bed frame that 5th day after the move like I said we would". very poor customer service. go elsewhere. read more

It's a coin toss....the guys who did the move were ok even though a few pieces were damaged.the other did of the coin is the damage done to the pieces received a magic marker coating not a repair. I sent the cost if repairs to them after I received a letter bout the insurance coverage and not have heard back. This is extremely disappointing. Do at the end of the day, they can handle the move but as things happen the escape their responsibility.it is for that reason I trimmed off the stars because as it was once said to can trust the man who wears the star ....just not this guy read more

We used Jim's moving and Delivery co because my mother-in-law used them back in 2008 and they did a really good job. We just moved back from AZ and had our stuff in storage. We weren't all that please with the service. They put a big dent and scratches on a freezer from my husband's grandmother. They new about it but didn't tell us. They ruined some of our wood work in the house. They were smoking and talking on their cellphones while they were loading the truck. One of the men was using one of our phone chargers and didn't even ask to use it. We still had to go back to the storage unit to get a pickup load because they didn't want to waste our time or their's. We called the manager about all the stuff that happened and he told us that he would reimburse us some of our money. Yeah a lousy $70. Really, your people didn't even have to wrap our furniture in blankets or put our mattress and box springs in bags. They already done because we had it that way when we moved back to NE. They didn't want to put our couches on a blanket and my husband said yeah you will. They also put holes in the plastic bags that the mattresses and box springs were in but they already had handles on them. So I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.I also had to remind them to be careful with the boxes and most of them were marked on if they had to be layed a certain way. read more

Called no answer, but able to leave a message, well I left two messages, regarding a purchased piano at an estate sale. I hired them to move a sofa I purchased online to my house and move the existing sofa to the garage. When I called I asked for a noon pick up time at the first location, she told me they didn't have that available only a 1:30 with a 3 man team, so it would cost more than a 2 man team, I said ok. They called me at 12:40 saying they were almost to the location to pick up the sofa, I said it was to be at 1:30, there sheet said anytime between noon & 1:30, so we had to hurry to the location and the owner had to hurry to the location. When we arrived at our house, they had to move the existing sofa to the garage on the same floor, they couldn't get it to fit and had to take off the door to the garage, we told them when it was moved in by Black Belt movers 2 months ago they had no problem. After they left I looked at my almost new red leather sofa they had put in the garage, it was covered with tears and scuff marks, I had a buyer who wanted to buy it and now they don't want it because it is all scratched up. So I lost out on $500 dollar for the sale of my sofa and had to pay them to move them. I have called them 3 times and no one will call me back. read more
