I've been going to Jim's Pizza box for years. They have excellent pizza and I usually just pick up and take it to my grandma's house. Recently, we decided to go in for lunch on a Saturday. The pizza was good as usual we had a pepperoni pizza with double pepperoni. They have lots of other options for food besides pizza - they also have sandwiches, salads, and full dinners. They even have cannoli! This is one of two locations and this location has a full bar. The only reason this isn't a higher is the experience we had when we finally went inside for a meal instead of taking our pizza carry out. We just overall did not have good service. Our waitress was really short with us, not very friendly, and overall kind of made us feel like a bother for being in the restaurant in the first place. My grandma isn't going to complain, but she also mentioned it when we got in the car. I will continue to patronize Jim's pizza box just maybe will continue getting my pizza to go. read more

This place is always a favorite of my families. My husband likes the fold over pizza and I'm a big fan of the gluten-free pizza the grandbabies like both of their plates! I cant attest to the process of making the gluten-free, but I've never had it issue regarding that The service is always great. Fresh chips -- I cannot tell you all how often I have had stale chips with a sandwich at lunch -- these were sharp and on point. I had the meatball sub and was quite content. It was yummy and tasty. Stopped by here to pickup a pizza on a Wednesday night. The prices are very fair and it seems that they do very good business. There's another pizza place across the street too - stiff competition around here! We ordered a pie with mushrooms, bacon and spinach to go. Once we placed our order, we were asked if we'd like to sit at the bar and have a drink while we waited, which of course we took advantage of! We met very nice locals there as well and enjoyed a beverage while our pizza was made. The amount of bacon they put on this pizza was really impressive! It was delish! One random day of winter chilling adventures we happened upon a Pizza Box by the name of Jim wile it wasn't only Jim's Box as it was all there for anyone to share! Our friends were staying in the area and wanted pizza so they asked us to join them at The Box so we did on this given night it wasn't too busy so we were seated right away and got our order in quick! Our group decided on a large pepperoni & sausage pizza on the regular crust and in no time at all our pizza was right in front of us to share! The pie was cut into squares it had a good amount of cheese and toppings the sauce was definitely the best part as it was very flavorful and just good as for the dough I really didn't care for it too much as I just didn't like the texture of it really and since the crust is one of my favorite parts it just didn't really hit the spot for me but thankfully the rest of the pie was better! Overall this is a mellow little place who knows if I'll give them another try but it definitely was alright for the time being! read more

I always get delivery and was pleasantly surprised when I went in and saw the remodel. The bar was beautiful and very welcoming. The entire place had a nice refresh. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, taco salad, and chicken bacon ranch calzone. The pizza was ok, with a softer crust in the middle. The taco salad was good!! This pizza is one of the worst pies I've eaten. My wife quit eating it at two pieces. I was more bold. I ate four before throwing in the towel. I was over-hungry. It wasn't the crust. It was everything else. The cheap pepperoni should have tipped us off at first but we were reckless in our hunger so we dug right in. The sauce tasted straight from the jar and the cheese was mercifully a thin sprinkling. Like I said, we tossed the rest. There was no saving it. On a side note, it was sliced like a checkerboard. Maybe some people like it that way but the traditional wagon wheel slice pattern leaves every piece with some crust to grip. This leaves your hands free of sauce and grease. read more

Received a gift certificate for a birthday from Jim's so decided to try. It was pretty good pizza! What I liked was it was medium thickness and it was crispy! Also, the large was extra large for a decent price. Loved that and the inside was very nice and cozy. Lots of booths and great atmosphere. Will definitely go back when I'm in the Milan area. Try it! I don't know how they get that buttery crisp bottom on the pizza crust but it's something special that you don't get from many other establishments, corporate or private. If the crust of the pizza is your favorite part, get to Jim's and indulge ASAP! The sauce is spot on as well. The service was exceptional for our dine in experience. This place used to be terrific. New management came in and has completely ruined it for us to the point that we won't go back anymore. We've been eating here for decades and loved it, when new management took over in the past year the first thing they did was raise prices and cut portion sizes. We ordered a medium calzone which used to be a good sized pizza for $10 and instead it looked like a personal pan pizza you'd get at a basketball game for $12. The pizza is good but don't expect much portion size or value for your money especially compared to what it used to be. We just decided to go to Huron Pizza House across the street. Update! went again and it seems they have completely fixed their issues. Calzone came out large and delicious. Prices seem very reasonable. Definitely won't be back, just horrible! I ordered an appetizer of bread and olive oil dipping with balsamic, both the bread and the dipping oil was awful, and way too much money. Then I ordered a caesar salad, blasé to say the least and once again way overpriced! My mother ordered the baked spaghetti with A meatball and a messy kindergartner could have done better. Just very gross horrible food I would have expected at a really cheap cafeteria buffet.... I think they have too many now, and just don't care.....They are supposedly going to have one downtown Sandusky but I will not patronize them. Ugh no. It was, as my dad said "entirely forgettable". We placed our order and were seated. Drinks came quickly, and we were happy to see our food a few moments later. Food was not good...just not good. Salads were fine, but I could make it at home. Pizza was not good...sauce was WAY too sweet, toppings were not put on properly (like 2 pieces of chicken on the entire medium pizza?). Two stars for super great staff, they were awesome. We had a large carry out order on a very cold, snowy weekend. The order was ready when we got there. And they fixed some confusion on the ordering quickly and with a pleasant response. The food was great. Two of us got baked ziti. Wow, it was awesome. Full of meat, piping hot, and enough for two meals. The Smitty sub was good and the steak burger was one of the best burgers in a long time. Buffalo chicken pizza had bacon - a twist from most - and it was full of toppings without being overly spicy. Boneless wing flavor options are extensive. More nugget like than wing like. Get the homemade ranch on your salad if ranch dressing is your thing. Definitely would do carry out here again. read more

We tried this place out for the first time today. We ordered cheese bread and calzones. I ordered the white veggie calzone and my husband had the bacon chicken ranch. The food was good. The calzones and cheese bread had a good flavor and the bread they make is delicious. The only minor complaint I have is that the calzones are much thinner than what I'm used to. They're supposed to be denser with much more filling in them, almost like a pocket filled to the max with pizza toppings. It's OK though, because it was so good! The prices are also very fair for the portions they give you. We will be back to try the other menu options! read more
