I picked up the crabmeat ($180+) and returned home to make the crabcakes. The sell by date on the container was prior to my purchase and I was very concerned about serving seafood that had an expired sell by date. I called Mike and he argued with me. He said I should smell the crabmeat and if it did not smell right, to call him. Also, the crabmeat was not jumbo lump to which he replied that was all that was available in the market. I called Saltmarket and they were fabulous. They were able to get actual Jumbo Lump crabmeat for me that was fresh. I lost over $180 to avoid the possibility of giving our guests food poisoning. If you buy from Lucky Fish, buyer beware. Check the sell by date and also ensure you are getting what you ordered.
