Dwaeji Gukap- Porkbelly soup with chive and sesame seeds! Yummmm
Lindsey A.

Tried this soup I saw all the Korean men eating! The waiter was so nice and said he hasn't seen an America. Try it but I was up for the challenge! I added the side seasonings he brought for a little saltiness and spiciness and it was delicious! It was the pork belly with scallions and sesame seeds. Broth definitely needed the additions! Their Kimchi is the best in town!! I will definitely order this again!!!

Props to Jin' s for being open on Sunday evening! Our usual go-to is another Korean restaurant named Todamgol in Lagrange, which is closer to us. This particular Sunday, however, our go-to was unexpectedly closed so we drove a bit extra to Auburn. Thankfully, their menus are very similar so we didn't have to change our selection a whole lot. If anything, Jin's had fish roe soup and spicy fried chicken that we don't come across often so we opted for those, plus our usual pork hock (jokbal). The only reason this lacked a full 5 star review is likely due to our heightened standards due to being a regular at Todamgol. We are conditioned to complimentary side soups, extra servings of rice (given our usual ~$70 takeout order), fuller cases of banchan, and larger portions. Their prices are also very similar so for the extra 'bang for our buck' factor, we were slightly disappointed by Jin's relatively smaller portions on banchan, rice, and entrees . But just looking solely at Jin's, the food is authentic enough and we like their extra menu offerings!

Worst service ever Not going back ! Not recommend ! Awful service. Kimbop mandu was Seafood pancake 해물파전 was very greasy 5 thumbs down 반찬도 누가 먹다 남은거 갖다준거같은 저녁식사에 딸랑 반찬 3 가지.

"An young ha sa oh" is how you say hello in Korean. Interestingly, Auburn has several Korean restaurants. Does the university has a special pipeline for Korean students? Is it because of the nearby Kia automotive assembly plant? And if that's the case, why don't we have more German restaurants in Birmingham/Tuscaloosa (the Mercedes plant is nearby)? Wife Linh, daughter Kristine, and I had an early dinner on Wednesday. My experience at Korean restaurants is limited to the table top BBQ style dinners, but Jin does not offer these. Instead, the menu is a large and busy page of items that we had no clue about. We asked the waitress (owner?) for help. Her English was so difficult to understand that we only recognized an occasional Bugogi, Kim Chee, and Bibimbop. So, here is what we ordered: Boodae Jjigae, Tukbaegi Bulgogi, and Dotsol Bibimbop. I would describe the Boodae Jjigae as a steaming bowl kim chee soup. It includes ramen noodles, tofu, and dumplings. The Tukbaegi Bulgogi is also a soup, and it contained slices of marinated beef, clear noodles, and some vegetables. Both are served with a side of rice. The Dotsol Bibimbop is opposite, a bowl of rice that is served with a side of soup. The bowl contains shredded lettuce, ground beef, a fried egg, and some other prepared vegetables. You squirt a srirachi-like sauce on it and mix it all together. The soup was a peppery broth. Our favorite of the three dishes was the Tukbaegi Bulgogi. I would say everything was good, but nothing made a lasting impression. The dishes may be more authentic/traditional, but I decided I prefer the Korean BBQ style dishes. My three star rating is largely due to the fly that was buzzing our table. It is difficult for me to enjoy any meal when there is a nasty fly hovering over my food.

Don't be fooled by the outside... Hiding behind Zaxby's is a TRUE GEM! The food was amazing! The staff was very friendly. I will come back when I am in the area again!

I travel for work...a lot! I wake up in a new city at least 2-3, sometimes more, times per week. I love Korean food and I always try to find the next best location, everywhere I go. I have to say...this has been the best! Not being from the area and reading the review about "hard to find", I was concerned it would be difficult to locate. It was actually fairly easy to locate, just behind a bank, next to a mission store, but clear to see from the road. The location was described as small, in other reviews, but I found it actually average based on the locations I've visited across the nation (see: I travel a lot for work). The atmosphere was authentic and the service was great. Now, the food...delicious, perfectly done and proportions that were also perfect. I've grown up eating Korean food, since I was 10 (now cresting 44), so I've got some experience. Like I said, after all the places I've tried...this tops them all!

Looks this restaurant got some racial discrimination. They write "15% tips will be added if 5 people or more" as Chinese. But here is a Korean restaurant and only mark the tips reminder as Chinese in the U.S. That was such interesting.

I like the array of dishes that they have here. The price points are a little high but the quality of food is worth the price. The dishes are tasty and its one of the best Korean spots in Auburn. Every Korean restaurant here has their own version of Soft Tofu Stew and LA Galbi and these guys do it best. the Galbi here is particularly good because you can taste the chargrill on the meat... YUM. My favorite way to eat here is with a group of at least 3 and to do one of their combinations. At the top of the menu you can see that there are an A, B, an C combination options and its by far the most amount of food for your money. B is my personal fav since it comes with my 2 favorite things.

This probably my second favorite Korean place in the area. I like bringing my family here and we normally do the Combo 3 depending on how many of us is there. They have really good sides. I would give them 5 stars but their service can be a little better. Highly recommend this place for their food!

Galbi, Bulgolgi, and Jap Jai leftovers!

If you have never had Korean food with traditional "appetizers" I highly recommend chickchickporkpork. The food is absolutely fantastic! The prices are extremely fair for the quality and quantity you get. The sign in front is a bit small, so pay attention as you get close. You will be pleased you chose to come, whether for lunch or dinner. For the especially finicky eater, you will find a luxury of fried chicken options to choose from. Come with an open mind, and you will leave with a full belly and plenty of good memories.

We didn't drink, but they do have a good variety of alcoholic drinks. The lunch special seems like a really good deal. We ended up getting the chick chick chilly chilly mayo. I really enjoy that they bring out a water jug for self service and do wish more restaurants would do that since I drink a lot of water. It is not to far from campus and definitely worth the drive. It's perhaps not in the most fun location being off pepperell pkwy but large indoor seating available. Should be good for big groups as well, never took a big group here but seems like they have the space. Parking lot has spaces but not a good lot. Lots of potholes and some big ones at the entrance.

I arrived to pick up a DoorDash order and entered the restaurant without being greeted by any employee. I sat down, assuming that someone would eventually ask if I needed assistance. During that time, two separate groups entered the restaurant and were immediately greeted and acknowledged. Meanwhile, multiple employees looked directly at me and continued to ignore me. After waiting approximately 15 minutes, I finally received the order, but only after the customer I was delivering for called the restaurant. When the food was handed to me, I politely mentioned to the employee that I had not been greeted when I arrived, despite other customers being acknowledged right away. Rather than addressing my concern, the employee refused to give me the order and called over the owner or manager. When he asked what the issue was, I explained that I simply wanted to bring attention to the fact that I had not been acknowledged when I entered the restaurant. He responded by saying that he knew I was a DoorDash driver and that the food was not ready. I asked how he could have known I was a DoorDash driver if no one had ever greeted or spoken to me. Instead of answering the question, he asked if I was going to take the food or not and told me I needed to leave because he was tired of dealing with me. He then began raising his voice, insisting that my wait was due to the food not being ready. I repeatedly explained that my concern was never the wait time. I understand that food preparation takes time. My issue was that no one acknowledged me when I arrived. Without speaking to me, the staff had no way of knowing whether I was a DoorDash driver, a customer dining in, or someone else needing assistance. Despite my attempts to clarify my concern, I was again told to leave because he did not want to deal with me. What should have been a simple conversation about customer service and acknowledgment became an unnecessarily hostile interaction. As a result, I will not be returning to this establishment and wanted to share my experience.
