    Damn! It's Sunday!

All these years and it's still the same place. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Relaxed vibe in a packed place. With a mix of patio and indoor dining it's a good spot to enjoy a quick meal. Evenlin was our server and she was great. I was thankful to find a spot on their second lot which isn't a far walk. I remember having to drive back and forth trying to find a spot back in the days. Everything we ordered was flavorful. I was surprised they only had one TV in the dining area. They need to add a few more inside. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again, next time I'll be sure it isn't 13 years between visits.

Generic sushi served in a casual beer hall setting. Do not expect top quality ingredients, but the chef did a good job despite the limitations. Got the Shogun sushi set which came with the bland miso soup.

Have to say still a 4 star. Definitely not the place to go if you're craving raw fish. The menu is expansive but it's pretty mid all the way around. I couldn't eat much of one of my rolls because the salmon texture and color was just not my preferred. Only come here when my boyfriend requests it otherwise I'd rather go to Obi's for a little bit more money. Sushi Deli is still bumping around 5:30 on a Saturday with a line waiting for tables.

We went through the wrong door lol but they were very nice about it (go through the first one!) We were welcomed and shown the right place to go and were instantly seated. We were given menus and water. The seats were kind of old and cracking so they hurt my legs a little bit where it was touching skin. And the floors were a little sticky. But I can look past everything because the sushi was very good and tasted very fresh. All for a great price. There's low sodium soy sauce which I appreciate. We got the best seller combo (comes with miso soup which was also good), mango tango, and the caterpillar roll all for $40ish with tip. We left full and happy. Recommend all of those rolls. Service was great, checked up on us a lot. Water was full all the time. Overall great service. We would come back to try more rolls! I also think they have some parking but we just parked on the street and it was fine for lunch on a Sunday. Highly recommend!

Amazing service and food. My family has been coming here for over ten years, always wonderful service and food

Well. The sushi (so I was told) was amazing. I had the bento box and it was -at best- average. The chicken was dry, the rice cold. The salad was overdressed and the only redeeming thing was the tempura. Hot, crispy and tender on the inside. Sorry for only one photo. Was a business meeting and got busy. We sat at the bar so service was a bit catch as catch can. Pleasant staff but we were never really checked on.

It's been a while since my last visit. I came by for lunch. I ordered their Thursday special bento. The portion is big for the price. They also have a throwback Thursday menu. I ordered Snap crackle tuna. It's very good. I've been here many times and the taste, price and service have been good. I like that they have a different menu every month. I'll be back.

Delicious Sushi and drinks. This place has a full alcoholic bar. I ordered myself a Long Island and some sake. The sushi was fresh and tasty. Service was fast and friendly. I did not know this restaurant was here since is kinda hidden. The place is busy so is welled known.

The place was lively when we visited with the staff dressed in costumes and having their own best costume contest, as it is Halloween Day. We were promptly seated and got to looking through their multipage menu. For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and mussels dynamite. The portions were quite generous and definitely shareable. For rolls, we ordered the Katie, best seller set, and red tide. The rolls were flavorless, tempura and crunchy flakes were cold and stale tasting. Our waitress seemed friendly at first, before ordering. However, after the food were delivered to the table, she was pretty much nonexistent to us. Not once did she came to check on us but I did see her check on surrounding tables. It's fine, I could've cared less on whether we had "service" but the problem was, I couldn't catch her attention to let her know that there was a fruit fly that was stuck to some ginger, or that we wanted some extra sauces. It's just my luck with the fly, huh? Anyways, the prices are reasonable and affordable. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good dining experience.

Great casual sushi restaurant! Prepare for a long wait (45 minutes to an hour) if you go on a weekend at peak hours. Service was great for our large group and the sushi was great with a pretty decent selection. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Absolute gem of a spot. Sushi price is fantastic. The deals are great. The service was fast and spot on. Friendly staff.

delicious sushi and little to no wait time on a Saturday at 1 PM. The island breeze was deliciously refreshing and was paired with a sweet and savory sauce!! Triple threat was packed with protein. I enjoyed the calamari but my bf found it rubbery

This place has been my go to for fast somewhat decent tasting sushi. I can't complain as they are always consistent in terms of speed and quality. This can't compare to any real sushi places in Kearny Mesa but since it always hits the spot when I hungry and impatient I can't fault them on anything. For sure will be back.

We made a reservation and although we arrived on time, we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. I agree with some of the other commenters when they say that the revolving fireplace needs some love. It has the look and feel of needing to be updated. Also, for it to be a "speakeasy" vibe, you could hear the loudness of the bar through the walls. It just kind of ruins the facade a little bit. Regardless, we enjoyed the novelty of being slowly admitted to the speakeasy on the opposite side. We were given seats and upon first glance it was a dark lit space with an old fashioned aesthetic. I was surprised to see how casual everyone was dressed- I assumed there was a dress code, but I guess flip flops made the cut ‍. It took a few minutes for our server to attend to us, and when he did you could tell he was slammed. We just didn't get the table side manner one was hoping for an establishment like this. Peeking at their drink menu, I found myself disappointed that much of their options had a lot of sweet or fruit juice ingredients. So, I went for their old fashioned. For the price, it was just okay. Another disappointing moment. In all, it wasn't terrible, but it just isn't worth the hype. Overpriced and mediocre drinks and a seemingly overworked staff didn't make for a memorable experience and ended up not being for us. Glad to have tried it...but look elsewhere if you've actually been to a speakeasy. This just doesn't live up to what it's trying to sell you.

The place is very small, a couple of stand up bar top tables and around 10 total tables. I would recommend this place only for a group max of 4 people. Very interesting and cool mix of Signature drinks. They also had non alcoholic beverages. The whole menu is plant based. Drinks were very interesting and really good. Food is Spanish style tapas. Small plates to share. I think we ordered almost everything in the menu Bread, Potatoes, Rice, Tofu, Bao Bun Sandwiches and Savory Pancake. Every dish was delicious and nicely presented. Place was medium loud and it felt that you actually entered another planet like in the tv series of Star Trek. Bathrooms looked like the elevator of a starship. Outstanding decor. Service was really good until the part that they rushed us through our dinner. That is why I put 3 stars. No where I saw that seating was maximum for two hours but they even rushed us more. Our reservation was at 730pm and they took us out of our table at 9pm. Very nicely they told us that we had to leave because they had another reservation. We were not even through our second cocktail and we had to leave it half drank. That is why my 3 star rating. I think that was very rude. For four people to celebrate a bday an hour and a half is very little time to share. It was a nice one time experience but that is all. I was planning to go again with another friend but with this time limit I would not repeat the place.

It's cozy, intimate, and unlike any other place I've been to in San Diego. Reservations are definitely worth making since the space is on the smaller side and fills up quickly. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that, while the experience and ambiance were amazing, the drinks are definitely on the pricier side. I understand you're paying for the craftsmanship and atmosphere, but it's probably not somewhere I'd visit regularly because of that. It's common for tiki bars to be pricey so it was to be expected.
