I liked that I could do everything online, I had a particular vision for what I wanted my birthday cake to look like and they communicated with me via email that could make my vision come true. I had a birthday celebration at a restaurant, which I asked The Evercake to have delivered directly to the restaurant. The delivery was smooth and the restaurant had the cake before I even got there. The cake was very cute and did look like what I had pictured. But...what I majorly disliked was the actual taste of the cake and being misled about what the contents of the cake would be. I selected the strawberry shortcake option for my cake and what I got was not what I thought it would be. I think it's quite normal for a strawberry shortcake to have like...real strawberries in between the layers. My cake didn't really have that, and if it did it was hidden in all the strawberry jam that there instead. I was not a fan of the cake texture too and the cream outside of the cake. Overall I felt so sad that I was feeding this to my friends and I told them that they didn't have to finish it because I wasn't going to either. So embarrassing :( Would you believe that this flop of a cake was nearly $200? And that's after the 10% coupon. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it wasn't completely bad, but the cake not tasting good was the biggest thing for me. I would have preferred it the other way around at least, like if the service was so bad but the cake tasted amazing, but unfortunately that was not the case for me.
