Came here on a Saturday night. Been wanting to stop by here ever since I got bubble tea from the store next door. The place has a very chill vibe with a few tables for indoor dining. T-swirl is such an excellent spot for Japanese-style crepes. I've taken a multitude of people here - from friends and family and beyond - and they've all loved T-Swirl. It's an excellent treat, and very unique from French-style crepes which is what most people in this area are used to. The shop is small but suitable. All crepes are made fresh to order, so there may very well be a wait upon ordering. In fact, that's probably the biggest drawback to this place - the wait time can get a little long, and the small space can get a little cramped. However, it is connected to the bubble tea shop next door, and if I'm not mistaken, you can hop over to the bubble tea shop while waiting. (In fact, T-swirl was undergoing renovation over the summer, and it utilized the bubble tea spot as its place to order.) The sweet crepes are definitely the winner here. Expect a ginormous, gut-busting dessert - I've tried a few over the years, but the classic banana Nutella remains my number one. (The Banana Chocolate and Apple Pie are all good too. I would love to try to more of the sweet combinations, but I always stick to my favorite!) IMO, the savory crepes are just eh. They're fresh, but the meat used (aka the chicken) is definitely mass produced so it's not as tasty IMO. Also, these crepes are meant to be eaten ASAP - you really can't take them home and eat them later, as they WILL get soggy and lose their structural integrity over time. A fun fact - they use rice flour in their recipe, so I believe the crepes are gluten free. It leads to a crisper, firmer texture as a opposed to a soft, flour-based French crepe. Been here several times and I always get the matcha azuki bean sweet crepe! I usually ask for the ice cream on the side. It's made to order so the crepe is always warm. Delicious! I am always super full after having one crepe to myself (after dinner). I feel like you could share this with one other person and be content. There is indoor seating but it can get filled up quickly after dinner time. I would definitely recommend this to others as a solid dessert spot after a meal in the area! Worth the review now that ive kept enjoying all the orders we've had so far! My first crepe from here was the Blueberry NY Cheesecake! It was sooo good! I can still remember the taste and texture as i type this review lol the second one i had was the fruits cocktail! Equally good as well! The fruits they put in are fresh and sweet, the crepe smells heavenly and i love the soft texture as you bite into it. Soft but sturdy enough the hold the ingredients. The cream is just the perfect balance of mildly sweet and fluffy. Not that sugary feel. With or without the ice cream it's still delicious! If we visit again i hope I can explore the savory crepes but i just tend to lean towards the sweet ones lol Oh and staff are great, they make sure your crepe is perfectly done. This specific location was incredibly popular as a dessert after dinner with staff really churning out crepes at breakneck speed. I ordered the matcha azuki bean crepe and it was quite good - not too sweet and also an incredible portion size. The reason I have to knock down a star is due to the entire system being kind of a shit-show. You place an order at one of two kiosks, then you need to make sure not to forget the number that pops up on the screen after you checkout. Next, there's this massive line that people actually wait in, but the line doesn't matter at all because the crepes come out in completely random order. I decided to check out this crepe place with me and my boyfriend while we were in Fort Lee! It's a cute shop with lots of options on their menu. The options for the crepes range from sweet to savory! The staff is super friendly and you can watch them make your crepe too! I went during COVID-19, and I didn't see any seating inside. We ordered the Strawberry Banana crepe, very basic haha. It was delicious! I really liked the different creams (?) added inside. It adds a little sweetness to the fruits, but I didn't find it too sweet either. Instead of Nutella drizzle/spread, they added chocolate pearls. I thought that was a nice touch since Nutella can become very sweet and overwhelming. I'm rating it 4/5 stars because the price was on the more expensive/pricey side. I got one of the more basic flavors, but it was still around ~$7-8. If you get their more unique flavors, it'll probably add up to ~$9-10 which I do find a little too expensive. Overall, I really like the crepes here, and I will be back if I'm in the area. We've also gotten the strawberry banana and lychee romantic crepes also. They were tasty, but the winner for us was the matcha choc truffle. I discovered this gem of a place about four to five years ago and it's my go to place when I want to treat myself or am in the area getting my lashes done... one of my favorites is the mango deluxe crepe I have never tried the savory crepes but maybe one day. I like that the crepe it self isn't sweet and the toppings are the ones that make it sweet it's the best balance. I really am not satisfied with their desert crepes. The flavor wasn't memorable and mostly lackluster. I tried the lychee and matcha one. Without ice-cream it was pretty bland. So it may be worth adding ice cream as an added topping. The price for sweet crepes range from 8-10 dollars and I personally don't think the quality justifies that price. The staff was very nice. Be sure to get their consent before filming! They also have a sign up about that so be considerate and ask for permission. I've always been in the area for the QT bubble tea store but I've never paid any kind to T-Swirl next door. My cousin had suggested to get desert here and I was satisfied. I had gotten the blueberry cheesecake which was filled with blueberries and cream cheese in the crepe topped off with vanilla ice cream. I wasn't sure why it's one of the more expensive crepes so i wasn't really amazed. I was a little confused because the crepes here were mad as ordered but when I had gotten mine, it wasn't the slightest bit warm. I think it was the cold weather but still. I was dumb and did not check to see if ice cream was automatically part of the crepe, but that gives me a good reason to come back one day! There is a huge plexiglass screen between the staff and the customers and the staff are all wearing masks, so on their end seems safe. Unfortunately, the shop itself is pretty small, so people aren't really adhering to social distancing, so watch out for that. I ordered the Matcha Chocolate Truffles crepe and it was a good balance between fruity, chocolatey, and matcha! Mixing matcha with other flavors can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed this particular mesh of flavors. I'm also a huge matcha and strawberry fan anyway, so I had a feeling I would enjoy it. I wish ice cream was not additional, but the portion of the crepe on its own is decent and there is no need to share. If you are confused on how to eat the crepe, you should be able to tear down perforated plastic parts down the side to expose the crepe. If not, just push it up like an ice pop lol. I was visiting a friend in Ridgefield and got introduced to T-Swirl in Fort Lee. I am going to say I loved it! When they said crepes, I wasn't expecting this at all. These are crepes reinvented! There were SO many options for sweet to savory. We decided to try the shrimp avocado crepe and the sauce was the secret ingredient that put it all together very well. The best part is that the crepe is made right in front of you! There is no indoor or outdoor dining, its only take-out. The staff is wearing masks.
