So, we decided to give Jin's Sushi Hibachi Thai a try, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. My husband ordered the chicken pad Thai, which he found decent but not extraordinary. My son and I opted for the bento lunch specials - he had the garlic beef, and I went with the shrimp tempura bento, which also included a fantastic shrimp tempura sushi roll! Each bento came with clear soup (delicious!), a ginger salad, two small spring rolls, fried rice, and the real star - an amazing cucumber salad that added a fresh, tasty touch. The restaurant itself was very clean with pleasant decor, and the staff greeted us warmly. They also seemed to have a busy takeout business, a good sign of its local popularity. While Ginger Bistro is still our top pick, Jin's was definitely worth the visit, and we'd be happy to come back for another relaxed lunch! read more

Finally found a decent Chinese place. Not the best but for the area that is decent food. The chicken was mildly flavored and cooked well. The other dishes brought in some good tastes. Turn around and run to another restaurant. Now. The food here is always good, the service not so much. My husband and I walked in around 8:30 pm on a Monday and they were mopping the floor. The guy looked at someone behind the counter as if to alert them of our presence. No one said anything. My husband stepped over the wet floor and asked the two very young women behind the counter if we could sit. The blonde Caucasian girl said, "I guess that's fine" in an attitude that was VERY clearly unwelcoming. I teach high school so I KNOW this "I guess" attitude and BOY did we get it. The Asian girl grabbed two menus and walked toward a booth. There was one already set with plates so we sat there. The Caucasian girl walked into the kitchen. In the background, you could hear really little kids, toddlers playing loudly and screeching. These were not children of patrons. They were playing in the "party room". My husband and I ordered a pot of tea and looked around. We were the ONLY patrons in the entire place. We looked at each other and HOPED the kids would be quieted or he party room door closed. Neither happened. So when the Asian girl brought us our tea and asked if we knew what we wanted, we told her we'd rather go to Formosa. We told her, "we really like the food but we don't want to listen to a daycare while we eat." She apologized. When we asked if we could pay for the tea and she said it was "on the house". This is the THIRD time we have come for dinner only to listen to the children of employees screeching and playing in a private party room. Seriously, get a SITTER and learn to be welcoming!!! Stopped off here with my daughter on our way home and we were searching for a quick Asian food meal. Jin's Garden is not seating inside, but they have set up a 'no contact' area and apparently have delivery within 7 miles. I ordered a lunch size shrimp and broccoli and my daughter ordered wonton soup and a lunch size chicken and broccoli. The lunch meals came in bento boxes with a choice of fried rice or white rice and a spring roll. The flavor of the brown sauce was excellent, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and not rubbery. This is the best Asian food we've had since moving to Virginia. read more

General Tso Chicken - this was quite disappointing, it was very soggy and did not look appealing at all. Expensive and a waste of money for this dish. It's like they half assed this one. Shrimp fried rice - this dish was pretty decent. Carrots and peas with jumbo size shrimps, the rice was soft and nicely done. Egg rolls - this is the same no matter where you go. Stuffed with cabbage, nothing exciting. Hunan delight - this was our favorite out of all the stuff we ordered. This is a must to share. Beef Chow Fun - this is one of my favorite noodle dish. Wide white noodles fried with bean sprout and your choice of meat. Unfortunately this place failed at making it. This was so bland and flavorless, you can even tell from looking at it. Typically it's supposed to be all brown from the sauce but this dish they made looked like they went cheap on the sauce. Combination lo mein - this dish was also bland. If you spend more than $50 bucks they throw in a 2 liter of soda. Ask if they don't offer it out right. For the price they charge and the flavorless food, I would not drive out that far to get Chinese. read more

This was the best Chinese Food I have had in over 20 years. I cannot eat what they call Chinese Food on Long Island. I had to visit Stafford and somebody recommended this restaurant. You will NOT be sorry. My son in law who is not crazy about Chinese food fold me that if this restaurant was near us at home he would eat it every week. I cannot agree more. I'm a new resident to the Aquia Harbour n'hood and this was the 2nd chinese delivery I'd tried. I picked them 1. because of the walnut shrimp dish (it was just like wegmans shrimp dish which they stop selling) and 2. because of online ordering (huge fan). The walnut shrimp I love. The shrimp are huge and they give you a ton of walnuts. I don't really like them so I only eat a few, but I still appreciate you get so many. I'm guessing that explains why it's one of the more expensive dishes they sell. But it comes with rice and and egg roll, like a lot of their other dishes, and I do love getting a full meal. Their egg rolls aren't good to me at all though. It's like they have too little filling for the size of the roll they use. I haven't tried any of the other rolls, but I usually don't finish the egg roll that comes with the meal. The singapore noodles or mei fun, is really good. It reminds me of my fave spot near my old job in Fairfax. So far no one as come close to them. But they're pretty close. I wish it was a little more. More curry, more egg, more moist or oil. But the flavor profile was good. The general tso's was decent but i found it to be a little more gelatinous instead of saucy. Didn't like it enough to order it again. The sweet and sour chicken was standard, so nothing special there. I'm looking forward to trying a few other dishes and sticking with the ones i know and love already. read more

The hot tea is weak. Tastes more like hot water than tea. Hostess greeted me at the door and I asked "Can I sit here?", to which she replied "No, come with me.". (BTW, the place was EMPTY). Leads me to a middle table and faces the chair away from the door. I say "can I sit over at that other table?", to which she replies "Yes.". I'm like WTF was that all about then? Tried to order General Tso's chicken with Lo Mein instead of rice. Nope. Can't do that. Have to order it with rice and then order Lo Mein on the side. Yea arrives at the table, as stated, very weak. So add sugar to at least make it pleasant. But there's no spoon to stir the tea, so grab the spoon wrapped in the napkin. The spoon is almost the same diameter at the inside of the little tea cup. Annoying. Workers wearing mismatched sweatpants and sweatshirts like they just came from the gym. Aquarium near the door is empty. Girl sitting in one of the booths folding what look to be "to-go boxes" or something instead of doing it in the back area. Phone rings CONSTANTLY and is the loudest thing in the restaurant. 4 TV's on the wall. 3 of them work. None of them have sound. Then the food came out.... Fried rice was awesome. General Tso's chicken was SUPER fresh, but not all spicy like it should be. More like orange chicken from Panda. Lo Mein is good but way too oily. read more

I was staying in the area at a hotel for the past few weeks that offered a free dinner every night but more often than not, wasn't very appetizing. I ordered from Jin's about 5 times and picked up once. I typically ordered the steamed chicken and shrimp with fried rice. A couple of times I got the spicy chicken and shrimp. Each time I went, I was pleased with my meal. The delivery service was always within the 60 minute window they promised. Often it was even less than 40 minutes. I ordered twice for dinner during this trip, and both times exceeded expectations when it came to delivery. Great touches like making sure everything is well packaged, plenty of sauces, and providing plates and silverware. It's also great to find a Chinese restaurant that reads the order comments when ordering via Yelp! The Walnut shrimp, Tom ka, and szezuan wontons were my favorites of the several items I tried.
