I love this place and visit every time I go to Spencer!! Still can't believe there is great food like this in my home town!! Love!!

Great service and cute restaurant. Excellent flavor on the pad see ewe. 4/5 spicy and the flavor was excellent. Knowing one star be late they are not proper pad see ewe noodles. But this place is surprisingly good for small town Indiana!

They do not mess around with the hotness level! Whatever you order elsewhere, take it down a notch or two; the mild or 1 is still mild though. I ordered the Pad Bus Sa Ra Com (45) with beef and it was so delicious. The flavor was amazing, I'm embarrassed to say I ruined the dish for myself by ordering too hot. My partner ordered the Pad Thai (15) with chicken and it was very good. Both dishes had a ton of flavor! Next time we're back this way we'll be back and I'll know better that you can always add heat but can't take it away!

Service is great, the food is outstanding and the music and decor is above average. I have wanted to visit Jit's for sometime. I never really had the time or since they close on Sunday and at seven pm during the week it hasn't worked out. Tonight I found the time and they were open after a 20 minutes drive to Spencer Indiana. I worried that since I didn't get there until 6:45 things might be problematic. No worry. The place could seat about 40 people and they were fairly busy. I ordered the duck curry with fresh tomato's, pepper and pineapple in a coconut sauce. The leaves of basil on top kicked it up a notch. I ordered it medium hot with hot sauce on the side. It was just right and the white rice was warm and cooked perfectly. When my wife returns from a trip out of town I plan to ask her for a date night Thai style.

Jit's is an absolute treasure in Spencer. It's about a 30 minute drive for us but one we're happy to make. We HIGHLY recommend menu item #45- Pad Bas Sa Ra Com. The pumpkin almost made us not order it (not huge fans) but it is sweet and spicy and extremely delicious. If you haven't tried it yet what are you waiting for?

Peaceful atmosphere. Kind, attentive staff. Incredible food. I highly recommend if you are in or near Spencer!

Consistently delicious. And the spring rolls are perfect. I almost always get the drunken noodles or cashew nuts with chicken.

Yummy. Spice scale is spicier than I'm used to. (Level 3 = mouth on fire), but super great flavor!

Appetizer came out quickly and entrees came out when the appetizer was 3/4 gone. Perfect timing. The edamame appetizer was hot and had plenty of salt, which is exactly how I like it (9.5/10)! I had the crispy chicken with pineapple (served in half of a pineapple) and spouse had the orange chicken. He said his was good (8/10), but I loved the pineapple chicken (9.8/10). He had no leftovers, I left with about half of my entree. We took a mango sticky rice to go and then drove around town for about 45 minutes before going back to the hotel to eat it (for context - I'm sure it's even better eaten in the restaurant). Even with it sitting at room temperature in a styrofoam container for about an hour after preparation, it's still a 9.9/10 for me. The mango sticky rice was a perfect ending to an excellent meal. When in Bloomington again, we will definitely be back. We may visit again before leaving town - it's that good.

My Thai on the westside of Bloomington is not merely a restaurant…read more It is an institution. A temple. A weekly ritual site. A blessed carbohydrate-and-curry sanctuary where my family has been eating once a week for ten years, which in restaurant loyalty years is basically a dynastic blood oath. I have eaten here through different seasons of life, different levels of exhaustion, different versions of myself, and probably several minor existential collapses. And through it all, My Thai has remained the most consistent restaurant I have ever eaten at. Not "pretty consistent." Not "usually good." I mean shockingly, mathematically, almost suspiciously consistent. Like somewhere in the back there is a monk, a wizard, and a very serious Thai grandmother operating a flavor reactor calibrated by NASA. My go-to is the Pad Prik King with chicken, because I am a simple man with a complicated nervous system and a deep spiritual need for spicy green beans. The green beans come in hot and crunchy like they are ready to fight for their honor. The sauce is rich, spicy, savory, and just the right amount of "hello, your face is awake now." The chicken is there doing noble chicken work. Bawk bawk, little warrior. Bawk bawk. This dish does not ask for attention. It seizes it. It kicks open the door wearing sunglasses, throws a handful of basil into the air, and says, "Get in, we're going to flavor town, but the weird respectable Bloomington version." And the best part? It is always good. Always. For ten years. Do you understand how rare that is? I have seen empires rise and fall faster than the quality control at My Thai. The service is friendly, the food is dependable, and the whole place has the comforting energy of, "Yes, the world is strange and unstable, but your Pad Prik King will still arrive correctly." That matters. Five stars. Ten years of loyal service. My Thai westside is one of Bloomington's great constants, and my spicy green bean chicken kingdom remains undefeated. BIG BADA BOOM!

Starting off - I was really glad I snagged a reservation because when we arrived there was a line waiting for them to open. We were seated quickly, and our service was really efficient. The drinks were unique, but tasty. We ordered the crab puffs because that's my favorite at any Thai restaurant. They came out in under 5 minutes, and were piping hot. They were good! For my main I ordered the steak drunken noodles and they were so so so good. I couldn't finish it all because the portion was so large, but you better believe it was just as good cold later that night. I would definitely be back. My husband ordered the chili & basil pork and he cleaned his plate - so I'd say it was good. Because it's a popular spot, there is a time limit on your dining experience. If you're wanting to relax and hang out - probably not the spot. The food is SO good though, so I'd still grab dinner here, then head to a cocktail bar to hang out

We had a reservation and waited a little while after arriving, but once seated outside on the patio, we really enjoyed our dinner. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful with our selections. We even ordered a platter from the special Epicurean Local Menu, which was a great addition to the meal. Unfortunately, the way the evening ended completely changed our impression of the experience. We had finished our meal, had already told our waiter that we did not want dessert, and were essentially ready to leave when a gentleman approached our table specifically to tell us that we had 15 minutes remaining. It was unnecessary and made us feel as though we were being pushed out when we weren't lingering or preventing the staff from turning the table. I mentioned this on my way out and was told that guests are informed they have 90 minutes to dine. We don't recall having that explained to us, but more importantly, I don't think that should be the defining experience at a restaurant positioning itself as a higher-quality dining destination. There are much more gracious ways to manage table timing, particularly when the guests have already finished their meal and indicated they aren't ordering anything else. We were also celebrating our daughter's birthday and specifically mentioned it to the host when we were seated. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment of her birthday during dinner, which was another missed opportunity to make the evening memorable. It's disappointing because the food, drinks, patio, and our waiter were all excellent. We were prepared to leave thinking we'd had a 5-star dinner. Instead, the final interaction made a wonderful evening feel transactional and turned what would have been a 5-star review into a 3-star experience. A restaurant can serve outstanding food, but the way guests are made to feel is part of the experience too.
