I let my tailoring pile up, and I have a bag with seven items that need to be hemmed, pockets repaired, and lots of little stupid things. A friend recommended JJ Alterations in the Boynton Beach Mall. I went in by JCPenney and found the business. Six women were busy sewing & some were waiting. There were 3 dressing rooms in this large shop. Even with the holidays my alterations will be ready next week. My clothing was ready when promised, the price appears to be fair. Everything looked correct. The hemmed items were hemmed, the ripped pocket was repaired as were the other items. Everything looks perfect and They accept credit cards. Very disappointed with the service I received at this seamstress shop very disgusting behavior from the staff I went in Friday may 1st at 3pm to inquire on getting the sleeves for my dress fix I did inform the gentleman there that I needed it for today if it was going to be possible I know with such short notice they may decline which is ok I understand it was such in a short frame of time which he could have declined and I would have went about my day but no he said ok we will do it to come around 6:30 because they close at 7pm I said ok I'll be back I come back at 6:20 just in case they finish early I get there and my dress is still on the rack and he tell the seamstress at the 1st table closest to the door that I'm here and for the green dress he told me don't worry we give me a few minutes it will be done shortly I waited almost 50 minutes on top of that the seamstress was making comments while she was doing my service that no we can't do this the material is very thin it won't look good well if they saw the fabric and I came in tried it on why didn't they just tell me no we can't do it sorry I would have went some where else with someone that actually knew how to provide me my service while she's saying all that in Spanish the gentleman tells her no don't say anything in Spanish because the girl knows Spanish too she said she didn't care and that it was hard to do which she could have declined while I was waiting in the shop for my dress that they were rushing to do because the store closes at 7pm another customer comes in upset because that same shop lost her top they told her they didn't have it that they will look for it that customer left up set which I should have know that place was not professional another client comes in after her wanting to get something done to a top the same seamstress doing my dress tell him no it's to much work we can't do it at that point I know my dress wasn't in good hands around 7:15 my dress was done I got it they didn't let me try it they were rushing me out the store I didn't even get to see it until I got to my car and omg my dress is ruin I can't wear it to my event very unprofessional and I will never be going back save you self some headache and try somewhere else we're they had better customer service and actually cares about the service and not the money I will be reaching out to my bank for a refund because unacceptable read more

Incredible place for all your alteration needs, JJ is the sweetest person on the planet and Javier and all the ladies there doing allterations are Kind, creative, and incredible with a sewing machine and a needle. I cannot reccomend this store more than if you need alterations they are accurate, fast and the most reasonable, in this town, I take all my clothing there. I shop at Dillards Clearance, and then walk across the way to JJ's for the alterations. What a great and convenient Combination! Let me start off by saying this company right here deserve a O- review rating. I bought in my wedding dress for alterations on 3 different occasions and emphasized to please keep the back long and to only hem up the front. The women who serviced me did not speak English very well but said she understood. Each time I went I made sure someone who worked there that spoke English was right there. Each time they both said they understood. When I tried my dress on when I got home, I found they had altered the entire bottom of the dress when they should have only altered the front! Needless to say I was very upset. After speaking with management I was able to get my money back. I suggested that they should have someone that speaks English right there and to right down the customer's instructions directly onto the receipt, so this doesn't happen again. Signed Nahemai J. I've never really called any company out on bad customer service or experience but I have to let you all know what happened in my experience with JJ Alterations in the Boynton Beach Mall. My first time going was pleasant, I needed a pair of khaki pants hemmed. They did a good job. Unfortunately when I went to pay for them as I dropped them off, the lady behind the counter tried to talk me into buying a leather purse from her, she bragged about how it was as hand made etc. I repeatedly expressed to her I was not interested, I paid for the service and left. Returned a few days later , picked them up , no problem. So on Oct 23 I returned to drop off the khakis and a polo to have dry cleaned, I was told it would take 8-9 days. I returned on 11/2 to pick them up and they said they weren't ready, then they said they couldn't find them. Then they found them. Easy mistake. I dropped off a 2 piece pantsuit with a scarf and a white shirt to be dry cleaned. That was the last time my suit was ever seen by me. I was told it would be ready on 10/10, I went to pick it up 10/11. I was told no you already picked it up, yet I had my receipt. I followed up multiple times since and they said they do not care, that they don't have my stuff. They threatened to call the mall security. They wouldn't talk to me refused to even think about reimbursement! They are horrible people!! They did let it slip out that they do not do their own dry cleaning, they take it somewhere here in Boynton but refused to tell me where!! I went to 2 different dry cleaning places in Boynton and the second one admitted they did the dry cleaning for JJ Alterations. I spoke with Jamie, told her what happened and she specifically remembered the owner of JJ Alterations picking up my order on 11/8!!! She showed me the receipt! She remembers the suit and the scarf! And then she told me JJ Alterations had called her several times asking her to look again and see if she still had my stuff. But, she had the receipt for when JJ Alterations had already picked it up. Now this whole time, JJ Alterations has been lying and blaming , when all they had to do was take ownership of their mistake and ask me how they could fix it. They really really suck!! I'm not giving up. I want my 250 for the suit and shirt and 30 for the dry cleaning that never made it back to me! Beware!!!!! Take your stuff anywhere else! read more
