I brought my 2021 BMW in last week for a chip repair on my windshield. I had called Safelight and their bid was $100 more than JJB. Upon inspection, the owner noticed that I actually had two chips and a lot of pits in my glass. After calling my insurance, I went with the recommendation to replace the whole windshield. I came back a week later and had the work done. The owners are lovely locals that have been here awhile. They were so friendly and I knew my car would be in good hands. They had the job done sooner than I expected and I am very happy with the work. They offered me a loaner car for the day which I thought was really nice. Did not have a great experience. Maybe it was a one off but here was my interaction. Called around all the local shops for estimates. All of them except JJB was in the 900-1,000 range. JJB was $725. Looked at reviews and decided to give it a go. Called and booked an appointment which was today. Arrived. Owner was dropping F bombs and complaining it's been a day already and he wants to go home. Owner said the power just got turned back on and just had a customer before me that was a situation. Owner looks at the car and dropped another F bomb and said strike 2. Wrong windshield was ordered. Owner called his wife to check how much the correct glass is. Owner tells me it's going to be 1,300. I said no thanks and walked out. All of the other shops asked for a VIN or used my license plate number to pull specific vehicle details. I would suggest JJB does this to prevent this exact situation of wasting everyone's time. Also the 1,300 price isn't in the ballpark of everyone else. Scary small business practices. Use at your own risk. Maybe your experience will be better. Some professionalism would go a long way here. read more

I needed to have my windshield replaced. The windshield was replaced, unfortunately they left my vehicle very dirty and messy. I keep my vehicle impeccably clean and when I picked it up there was dirt on top of the dashboard, my seat was dirty from them sitting in it and the floorboard had dirt and rocks in it from them doing the work. I understand that that happens but you should be cleaning up after yourself. I now have to go get my vehicle cleaned. read more

I dod not have a good experiance with JBB. They originallyreplaced a windsheild for me last year. Not long after it was replaced the windsheild molding on the driver side came loose and bent in half so was flopping around. I went back to JBB and they said they would order the part and replace it. I waited but no call....or they called but the ID on their phone was a woman's name. They never left a message. I called them a few times and when they did answer, twice they told me the part had not come in yet. A couple of other times I left messages and drove by the shop and they were gone. I finally decided to glue the molding down myself and that worked for quite a while but it eventually came loose again. I contacted them again and they reordered the part and eventually replaced the molding. About two days latter I was as driving down the Freeway and something shot by my face. When I stopped the molding had completely ripped off. I went back to JBB and they told me it didn't hold because I had glued the first down and I shouldn't have so ot was my fault. I explained that no one told me that and that I could nerver get a hold of them to fix it. He said that in order to fix it I would have to replace the whole wind shield. Anothed 350.00. He was very rude. Accused me off thinking I was an auto glass expert takeing it upon myself to glue the molding down. I aas never rude to him. So he wouldn't work with me on price but offered to buy the molding which was in two pieces..he acted like he was doing me a favor but said he wouldn't work on the window. I went to Cal State auto glass and the first thing he told me was that the glass had been installed incorrectly. There was a gap along the bottom where the glass had not been set down low enough. Mind you the guy at JBB bragged the whole time about what an expert he was and that he taught everybody around how to expertly put in auto glass. When Call State finished he showed me how the glass should have been done.It looked much better and more professional. Bottom line I would not deal with JBB again. In fairness, I did deal with another gentleman there and a lady who were very nice amd professional. This is all on the owner. I. Difficult to communicate with when there is an issue 2. Unprofessional business. Close early and don't return calls properly. They should put the business name on the phone ID so you know who it is. 3. Rude and acusatory. I found this business on Yelp and was very pleased with their service. The owner, Lee, replaced my windshield in a very timely and efficient manner after it got chipped on Saturday. Lee is knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything to me. He even explained that the windshield that was currently on the car was not the correct windshield and consequently my auto dimming rear view mirror hasn't been functioning since I purchased the car used 5 years ago. Now it has the proper windshield, so the next time I drive at night I should be able to see what the rear view mirror was supposed to be doing all along. We were referred to JJB auto glass to have our RV windshield replaced . We are currently at ANOTHER auto glass dealer to have our windshield REINSTALLED due to poor workmanship. The person who installed it had a line of BS as to WHY it looked this way and the reason for the EXTRA charges, none of which were supported by ANY documentation. Excellent service. Met these guys working on a car at a friends shop... They were friendly and helpful as I asked them about their business. So a few days later I had them install a new windshield in our Porsche 911 turbo ( a difficult windshield to install). They did a great job and were conscientious and came when they said they would.
