After having a frustrating experience last summer with someone who charged a little less, I really appreciated working with a company that was straightforward, reliable, and easy to deal with. The whole experience was professional, straightforward, and refreshingly drama-free. They answered my questions, handled scheduling and follow-up well, and made payment easy. There was some delay in getting the window in, but that was partly due to my schedule and partly due to theirs, and I did not view that as a problem. In the end, it was worth paying a little more for a company that was reliable, professional, and easy to work with. I would absolutely use them again.

What I appreciate most is the time that Jeff, Trip and the rest of the folks who worked with us took to review the colors and finishings and styles of hardware they had available. I had some very specific design challenges (too much gold in the bathrooms) and they walked me through how I might minimize the impact of introducing yet another set of hardware (the glass hinges). Also when I went to their office in Manassas to see the hardware, the person who greeted me offered me a snack for the ride home since he know I had driven a long way. It's kind gestures and patience like this that make all of the difference in terms customer experience and satisfaction. Recognizing that the another company had previously installed the larger glass piece incorrectly, they braced the piece from the attic so that it was connected to solid wood rather than to sheet rock alone. I told him I would be happy to revise it after seeing the completed work, but that the original review accurately reflected my experience at the time, specifically being ghosted for days before we informed him we were moving forward with another option. I'm adding this update now that the work has been completed. Unfortunately, the repair appeared rushed and the caulking workmanship was poor and we had to have someone else come back to make it look presentable. Our handyman, who was at the house preparing it for listing, also had a negative interaction with Alejandro and ultimately left. I was disappointed by the issues described in my original review and, unfortunately, remained disappointed with the conduct during the visit and the quality of the workmanship. I contacted A1 on December 2nd about a problem with my screen door. After returning from a business trip on December 16, I provided more details about the issue. They said someone would come to take measurements, but according to my front door camera, no one ever showed up. On December 18, they confirmed via text--providing detailed information--that they could do the job at a price I could afford. Finally, on December 30th, they came to do the work. I was out of town for business again, but since my first experience was positive, I trusted things would go smoothly. That was a mistake. They did the exact opposite of what we agreed upon, despite confirming the details in writing. Nothing they promised was actually done. To make matters worse, they left my front porch a mess. I later had another handyman look at their work, and he told me I was overcharged, especially considering they just reused the original materials and merely painted over them. I am extremely disappointed that I gave this business a second chance. I am retracting my original positive review.

We couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!
