What I appreciate most is the time that Jeff, Trip and the rest of the folks who worked with us took to review the colors and finishings and styles of hardware they had available. I had some very specific design challenges (too much gold in the bathrooms) and they walked me through how I might minimize the impact of introducing yet another set of hardware (the glass hinges). Also when I went to their office in Manassas to see the hardware, the person who greeted me offered me a snack for the ride home since he know I had driven a long way. It's kind gestures and patience like this that make all of the difference in terms customer experience and satisfaction. I contacted A1 on December 2nd about a problem with my screen door. After returning from a business trip on December 16, I provided more details about the issue. They said someone would come to take measurements, but according to my front door camera, no one ever showed up. On December 18, they confirmed via text--providing detailed information--that they could do the job at a price I could afford. Finally, on December 30th, they came to do the work. I was out of town for business again, but since my first experience was positive, I trusted things would go smoothly. That was a mistake. They did the exact opposite of what we agreed upon, despite confirming the details in writing. Nothing they promised was actually done. To make matters worse, they left my front porch a mess. I later had another handyman look at their work, and he told me I was overcharged, especially considering they just reused the original materials and merely painted over them. I am extremely disappointed that I gave this business a second chance. I am retracting my original positive review.

There were many companies around the country advertising online and a number of local companies that sell bath shower glass door enclosures. But we had difficulty finding area companies that would provide wall cabinet glass or that would come to us and take measurements. We stumbled upon C&C Glass and Mirror on Yelp and couldn't be more pleased. (https://cncglassandmirror.net/). The owner, Ben, responded immediately and came to us in Maryland the next working day, arriving on time as scheduled. He also called and texted to let us know his status and ETA. We explored different design elements, including bubble and wave designs for the wall cabinet glass door inserts and the thickness options for the shelves. Ben worked patiently with us as we finalized our selection, advising us of the pros and cons of different options, and giving us multiple estimates. We finally decided on low-iron shatterproof glass. Ben was very quick coordinating with the materials suppliers and giving us the final estimate. He came out a second time for the down payment, remeasured and followed-up to gave us an estimated delivery date. When the materials arrived earlier than expected he rearranged his schedule to accelerate the install date. This was a huge help as we were living out of boxes during the renovation and did not want to unpack until all the work was done. Ben did an excellent job delivering and installing the glass in the midst of inclement weather. This included an additional trip to Home Depot during the install to get better quality anchors. Because of the limited number of companies in our area who were willing to come out to measure for a job this small, we could not compare pricing. But we think the price was fair and can recommend this company with no reservations. Note: According to the website, this company installs and repairs all types of glass, including not only glass cabinet fronts and shelves, but shower doors, windows and other glass.
