Awesome breakfast stop in the Atlantic City area, it's worth the short ride for a solid breakfast if you're staying on the boardwalk. Also, there's a Wawa right nearby in case you need to stock up on supplies (water, Red Bull, snacks, etc.). We came here on a recommendation from our waiter, he said he had a great night with friends, they won some money in AC, and where did they go to celebrate and cap off the night?...JJ's. I got the Eye Opener and my wife got a breakfast quesadilla. The corned beef hash here is phenomenal, it definitely looks/tastes homemade. I wasn't a huge fan of the homefries (cut like scalloped potatoes) but they were still good. Definitely recommend you check it out. read more

Had breakfast while visiting the Shore. Overall this is an above average diner. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly / attentive. Had standard breakfast fare such as eggs, scrapple (cooked perfectly), hash, etc. Everything was tasty. One nice thing was the waitress asked if we wanted the break buttered or not. I hate it when I get the soaking butter bread at diners after forgetting to ask them to bring it on the side. That was nice and she also kept our coffee hot and full. Would make this my first choice of diners in the area for sure. read more

Stopped over for some "brekkie" with my sis the other day an as usual we left pleasantly satiated. After I ordered I changed my order to almost exactly the same thing that she ordered (except for the toast; she wasn't happy! Our breakfast order consisted of three poached eggs, corned beef hash, and grits. I also ate my eggs the same way she did: dipping bits of toast in the cup holding the eggs, (she was upset with me). The eggs were perfectly poached and you could tell that the corned beef hash was homemade by an expert; simply delicious. The grits are perfectly cooked , I would come in just for a bowl of their creamy goodness. Although I am a "Northerner" I consider myself a "grit connoisseur" seeking out great grits everywhere. Service was very attentive, filling coffee cups frequently and checking on our needs during our repast. I forgot to take a picture of my dish and didn't remember until I tried to take a pic of sister's remaining food (she was not cooperative). JJ's is consistantly good and I am becoming a "frequent diner". read more

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! And it lived up to every bit of our high exceptions after reading these reviews. My biscuits and gravy were delicious. Loaded with sausage chunks, great rich flavor, not too salty, and surprisingly not too filling. My dad's chicken and waffles plate insane huge. The chicken was super tasty and the maple glaze was perfect. The corned beef hash was also really good. However, the absolute best part of JJ's.... the people! Our server was sooo helpful and out of her way friendly. Even the owner/manager(?) came over to chat and make sure everyone was fully satisfied. JJ's is certainly a must try! read more

This place is a cute little diner. We looked on Yelp and found this place. We were greeted by the owner and he was very sweet and welcoming man. I got the sausage and veggie omelette with rye bread and it was pretty good! We shared the Red Velvet Waffled with strawberries and bananas which was also pretty good. Coffee was fresh and good as well. The service was really fast as well. We did by accident overstay our welcome and the people there kinda hinted us to leave. A quaint little diner, can get pretty busy but definitely worth the wait. There is a counter as well as two & four person tables. Offer daily specials, my boyfriend tried the Chicken & Waffles. I had an omelette which was excellent. You have the choice of hash browns or grits & toast with any egg dish. You can get an english muffin or bagel for $1 extra, which is pretty awesome. The owner is a great guy. He goes out of his way to talk to his customers and make you feel at home. The food was great and very reasonably priced. The corned beef has is made with real corned beef (not canned) and not too salty. The chipped beef was very tasty and plentiful. This is my favorite breakfast place you guys! Where else can you get homemade corned beef hash and grits like your mama used to cook? Here guys just come here. The food is delicious I cannot say that enough, I have not tried lunch yet but that is my next things to do on my list. Today I had two eggs over easy, sausage patties, grits, toast and I had to have a side of her that homemade corned beef hash. If I had to complain about the place, my complaint would be that the building is not big enough. A lot of people come and go and it's a little crowded. You come on the right day and you might stand in line, but it is totally worth it because when the line gets long the owner comes out with free food and drinks. read more

Went to Easter breakfast, ordered chicken and waffles didn't realize it was smothered in gray. After the food arrived on the table I explained to the waitress that I didn't know it came with gray on top. I asked if I could get it without the gray she said yes but I would have to pay for that and pay for the new one as well.. asked for the manager and she explained the same thing that I would have to pay for both. After arguing for about 20 minutes they finally reluctantly gave me a new chicken and waffles... and continue to be rude during the rest of our stay... would not recommend. read more

Found this little NJ diner off a tip from a brother "Yelper" and I glad we stopped in for a bite. 5 minutes off exit 5 of the AC expressway and definitely worth the trip whether you're going to or from AC. Our meal was breakfast but the lunch menu looked just as inviting. Very clean with plenty of parking and the service came with a big smile and everything we ordered arrived to our table just as we requested it. When we're arrived there was a short wait. We expected to wait patiently on the lil waiting area until a table was ready.
