First quote $200, second quote $450, on site quote $1250. Sent an itemized list of everything to be moved and yeah I get it's more in person but for what I'm paying for $1250 will get me a professional service which these guys are not (trailer and equipment made this clear) I feel like I was upcharged because I have a nicer house. I offered a competitive counter at $750 and never heard back, the job was done by someone else for $690 with $100 tip, so I know I'm not crazy with my ask, I just wish I would have gotten a fair price quote from these guys read more

Absolutely the most unprofessional company ever.I was quoted a flat rate to haul junk. Arrived late, raised the price once they arrived, then took off without any notice. I thought they perhaps went to get a bigger truck.after waiting several hours without any response to my messages I finally got someone on the phone. Absolutely rude, yelled at me and then hung up. This should have been an easy move, I had dissembled both my beds, taken the mirrors off the dressers, and was entirely packed and ready to go at 8 am. I expected three men and a box truck at 8 am. I got two men, a pickup truck and a beat up trailer at 9:15. My elevator reservation expired at 11, so I had to chip in as the third mover, moving about 20% of my stuff to the elevator myself. My furniture isn't expensive, but it is less than 6 months old. These guys managed to damage about 1/2 of it. I was lucky it didn't rain the day I moved, because my beds and box springs were totally exposed on the drive to the new apartment. In the end, they didn't have enough space in the pickup + trailer to complete my move, and I had to make multiple return trips to finish the job unassisted. I have to say, the prior favorable Yelp reviews failed me, and I was stuck with a very bad outcome. These guys were the lowest price. I was definitely penny-wise and pound-foolish. read more

Basically started crack of dawn and completed the project within my 3 hour cutoff time. They wrapped my sensitive items and placed exactly the way I wanted placed in storage. I contacted the company late on Monday night to request hauling my old sofa away that Friday (today), and within hours, Josh replied with his reasonable rate and availability for today. He needed to reschedule late on Thursday night, which wasn't a big problem, and he arrived an hour and a half later than the rescheduled time, but when I contacted him to ask when he'd arrive, he gave me a reasonable estimate and said he got behind schedule (which I think is to be expected in this line of work). He then called me to give me an even better time estimate and to make sure he knew where to go and what exactly he would be hauling. When Josh and his partner arrived, they were very friendly and were able to remove my old sectional and cushions/pillows in less than 10 minutes! I was impressed. Despite having to reschedule and running late, I would recommend JJ's and will work with them again if I need any other junk removed. read more

On Sunday I bought a 93 inch crate and barrel couch online for a steal, carried that bad boy up two flights of stairs with my boyfriend just to find out it wouldn't fit through our apartment door. After leaving the sitting giant in the hallway overnight I was on a mission to have the couch hoisted through our 2nd floor balcony by close of business. Found JJ through an online search and he was immediately responsive via email and text, he offered the best flat rate for our task (quoted by others at $500-$1000), and was able to fit us in by 3:30 PM. When Josh and Chuck arrived, they got right to work - sized up the couch, took measurements of the unit and my balcony, devised a plan and set it into motion. In just about a hour they had the couch up a 40 ft ladder and in my living room with no damage. They did the work of a crew of 3 or 4, with zero complaint and complete triumph.
