Originally, I was quoted a timeframe between 1-5pm, they showed up an hour EARLIER! To some this may have been the part where you panic, especially if you are running small items back and forth to your new place, to me?? This was PERFECT, because I was able to have a headstart for my long moving day. The truck was large enough, both movers came in and were polite, patient, and did not make me feel uncomfortable when handling my items. They wrapped all dressers, tv stands, coffee tables, and TVs and ensured everything was delivered carefully. No frills, no stalling for extra time (you do get charged hourly if you exceed your allowed time), and just straight to business. On loading day seven guys came and were done with our very full house within about 4.5 hours. Three days later (it was our request to delay delivery and unloading) four of them met us in Vermont and within 6 hours had unloaded everything to the locations in the house that we requested. I call back and speak to him again and he says, oh, that is an estimate but we would be done before that price. Then, I get a call from Mike. He wants to confirm my move and inventory. What the heck? He says his notes are confusing so he wants to check. We go over things, AGAIN. He then tells me that it sounds like more work so, he is going to send 5 guys instead of the original 2 guys and a truck because it's gonna be a big job and that it would take 9-12 hours and double the price that I was told. Umm, what? For a 2 bedroom apartment?? He tells me I can speak to his general manager, Kion. I literally confirmed with him before! I literally start crying because I am already stressed from preparing to move in a timely manner before the 31st. Kion and I speak again and he won't even let me get a word in and trying to say that the numbers Mike estimated are correct and that there is no way it wouldn't be a full day job. I cancelled, he says he will return my deposit and then transfers me to customer care where the guys asks me what can he help me with? You tell me, sir. We did the walk-through, he asked a lot of questions and then he promptly sent an estimate. We have a lot of things so it took five guys and two trucks. The crew leader contacted me the day before to confirm the details and they showed up promptly the day of. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and energetic the entire time. And very polite. They treated all of our things very well and didn't have a problem moving any of the weird odds and ends we couldn't find a way to pack. When we arrived they put everything in the new house where we wanted it and even though we could tell they were suffering from the extreme heat and the weight and amount of our things, they never lagged or complained. They put the beds back together quickly and correctly as well as the dining room table. I'd be in hospital if I had to move all my stuff. At the end, the crew leader went over the paperwork, explained all the final charges line-by-line, and took payment. Very professional. We could not be happier. They were a great crew of guys. I even had a last minute change to the destination (originally everything was going into storage but I ended up finding an apartment just in time), and the professionalism and patience from the entire Bookstore team through this change was excellent. But the cube does hold a lot more that you think -- if you know how to pack properly. Drop off and pick up were both super easy. The dispatch centers are very responsive and pleasant to talk to. Their travel time estimation was pretty accurate. My belongings arrived as I packed it, some had damage which was entirely MY fault -- I should have wrapped absolutely everything. Long story short, great service, great company to work with, fast/quick responses, and affordable (in my opinion). The cost of this was less than half what it would've cost me to move that far with a full service moving company (they pack the truck and drive for you) and half the cost of PODS although I believe the PODS company has different size cubes.
