The sauna was immediately back up and running for the holidays. However, it turned out that it would no longer reach a high enough temperature. This was due to incorrect temperature sensor placement. We were having problems with our 25 year old steam room not generating enough steam. I call back to New Jersey, where the manufacturer was based and asked for help in finding a repair service in the San Jose area who was quualified to make repairs on our Steam Mist system. They heartily suggested we contact Jeff at JK Spa Repairs. Jeff came out, took the system apart and quickly discovered that the heating element assembly was not producing enough heat to generate steam because several of the elements were no longer working. He removed the control box, added couplers on the copper piping and took it back to his work place. He let me know exactly what he was going to do which included ordering a new heating assembly from N.J., replace the element and bring the repaired unit back and install it. This way, any interruptions in our time at home would be held to a minimum. He called me on Tuesday and installed it that afternoon. Jeff was a pleasure to work with. Never calling anyone else but JK Spa! Our hot tub suddenly would not heat up. We called the "authorized service center" as recommended by Paradise Valley Spas, where we got the tub and all we got was the run around. They could not schedule us for two weeks and when the day arrived, no one showed up. When I called, I was told that the technician was ill, that they had rescheduled me (another week) and that they had called me to let me know. FALSE. Then, the SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN and when I called again, they said "you are scheduled for two weeks from now, we called and sent text messages." FALSE AGAIN. Paradise Valley Spas said "oops sorry, nothing we can do" and so I found JK spas on Google. They sent someone right away, who diagnosed the problem quickly (broken wire) and fixed it for a very reasonable price.
