We got an engineered drain field installed by All State Septic Inc between August 2nd and August…read more10th where we paid a total of $9000 in two installments. The Florida Department of Health came by on October 11th and said that because no permit was pulled, we would have to pay the permit fee of $625 and then hire another licensed contractor to inspect and complete the work to state standards. The new contractor said that the septic system that they installed will not function properly in general nor to state standards and was set up incorrectly, so we are having to pay for them to dig it up and redo it. The cost for removing the current septic system and installing one that works properly is $12,800. I asked All State what they planned to do to rectify this situation and they replied with: "You mean you didn't pull a permit. It's the homeowners responsibility...We did exactly what you wanted. You shouldn't be mad at us. You should find out who told on you and be mad at them." Indicating that they had no plans to do anything about not performing the work that we outlined in the contract between myself and them. The law states that licensed contractors are not allowed to do work without ensuring there are proper permits, therefore All State should have pulled the permits for the work they were doing on my property seeing as they were licensed. All State should come out and fix the drain field so it functions properly, as I have now paid the permit fee retroactively for their work. At the very least, they should pay us back the money that we gave them for the work that they did not perform in the amount of $9000.

Do Not Use this Company, they do not stand behind their work…read more Had an entire new septic system installed 6 months ago. Destroy old talk, extend sewer line to new tank, new tank and pump tank, pump, and new drain field. First issue happened 2 months after install. The new pipes they installed between the house and the new septic tank were leaking sewage underground. You could literally bounce on the dirt like a big water balloon. We dug down and discovered that none of the new PVC pipe was glued together and they were leaking at the joints and elbows. Leaking sewage. We glued the pipes at that location to fix the problem immediately since All State couldn't come out for a day or 2. I let that go and didn't complain. The next problem happened this week, which is about 6 months after install. None of the toilets or sinks will drain and the tubs are backing up. All State came out and said the septic tank and pump are functioning properly and that the problem was a clog in the home's plumbing. The septic did seem to be functioning so I rented an auger to snake the pipes. I snaked the entire house and it was still clogged. I finally snaked the line from the house to the septic tank and it was full of tree roots. How do tree roots grow through PVC pipe? And then I remembered the leaky pipe problem from a couple months ago. There must be more leaky connections where the roots are able to enter the pipe and clog it. After my discovery, I sent pics to Allstate and they said that they are only responsible for the tank to the drain field and are not responsible for the pipe before the tank, even though they installed about 30 feet of pipe and multiple pipe connections before my new tank. They ended with "Good Luck"
