I really liked Mike from the estimate visit because he was very straightforward (while others seemed to use showy scare tactics). The estimate was black and white- a quantitative, itemized count of what would need to be done and how much each one cost. Shocked to say that we actually saved $2k off the final bill because a few circuits ended up not needing to be done Everything was very well-organized. Colleen coordinated with us in advance on timing, permits, etc. and I can't say enough about how great Mike and his team were. They were here for 2 weeks. We knew what to expect each day - who was coming, at what time, what they were doing. My husband and I both work from home and we have 2 dogs so thought it would maybe be chaotic. But it went so smoothly. The team was very punctual, professional (covering the floors and cleaning up after themselves) and friendly but so respectful, with hardly any impact on our work from home schedules. They went out of there way to minimize damage to our walls e.g., they routed wires from the basement to the second floor via an old floor to ceiling built in in the cabinet, so it's not even visible. There were not nearly as many holes as I expected overall, and they patched them well enough that I was able to just take care of the sanding and painting myself vs. hiring someone professionally. Steve went radio silent for days when I discovered many issues with his work. I gave him the light bulbs we had on hand. He just changed the bulbs. He charged me $160 and said he would come back to change the light fixture if we still had a problem. The lights flickered that night so my husband tried to contact him. James Civello went off on him. He said he doesn't just change light bulbs and refused to come back to finish the job we asked him to do. He cashed the check the next day!

They wanted $150 just to put in a panel directory, and charged me $800 for relatively minor electrical work. I didn't know any better, and was just desperate to get the certification at the time, but even the inspector suggested I was ripped off at that rate. ..reply to buisness response: I asked for a breakdown of the cost at the time of the estimate, after finding out you guys wanted $150 for the directory, just to find out if there was something else I could take out to DIY and save money. Your employee told me they don't have that, and it's just a general amount for the work in total. If I knew you were charging $255 just to change a 20watt breaker to a 15w, I definitely would have done that myself.
