I had a tree limb knock down my electrical service and Peco placed the service loop taught to the house. This resulted in water running through the core of the service line and directly into my circuit breaker box. I was very worried. Peco refused to fix the problem they created. I needed some minor electric work done at my house to get a U&O Permit. While these guys did the work properly and were friendly enough, their rates appear to be made up on the spot, with no breakdown of cost, and are ridiculously high. They wanted $150 just to put in a panel directory, and charged me $800 for relatively minor electrical work. I didn't know any better, and was just desperate to get the certification at the time, but even the inspector suggested I was ripped off at that rate. ..reply to buisness response: I asked for a breakdown of the cost at the time of the estimate, after finding out you guys wanted $150 for the directory, just to find out if there was something else I could take out to DIY and save money. Your employee told me they don't have that, and it's just a general amount for the work in total. If I knew you were charging $255 just to change a 20watt breaker to a 15w, I definitely would have done that myself. I needed an electrician for my tenant who suddenly lost power on a hot summer day. I called GE electric after initially going with another company that had basically tried to rip me off. Edmund, the man that responded to my call was honest, straight forward and prompt. He got to my tenant's house within half hour and fixed the problem for me under 10 minutes. He charged me a very reasonable rate, and gave me a quote to replace the box and a power cable outside of the house. He did not pressure me in any way to get all the work done, but did the minimum necessary to get the electric running again. Whoever initially wired the house we bought wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, so they installed an outlet meant for a range in the laundry room. I needed to have that outlet swapped out for the right type. I found GE on yelp, they offered a great rate, and off we went. They were extremely punctual and respectful of the house (they brought shoe covers!) and replaced it quickly. They even pointed out some other issues with the wiring, which I may have them take care of in the future. I didn't have the right outlet or cord for the dryer--they had an outlet in their truck and put it in! They also came back a couple hours later once I had the right dryer cord, to finish the job. I can't recommend them enough. Super efficient, professional, and a great job. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. read more

I woke up on a Sunday to find that half my house was without power. After flipping the circuit breakers, there was no change. I contacted GE Electrical and Edmond showed up within a few hours. He got on a ladder and diagnosed that one of the two lines running from the PECO line to my house was damaged from normal wear and tear. He returned at 8a Monday with a coworker. I received several quotes for a 240 V hook up for a new hot tub. GE electric was the best value. Edmond and two helpers showed up on time at 8:30 in the morning. Great job. Finally my wife and I decided to go on with our kitchen remodeling the end of this summer. We were really happy and fortunate to hire GE Electrical Services. Let just start with GE Electrical Services saved the day......Monday 20, 2020 we were doing a "small" plumbing job that just consist of adding shut off vales....unknowing to us the water dripped down in the basement and got on wires that were old, rusted and exposed. It cause half of our building to go out and start an electrical spark, we thought as we smelled the burnt wires. We had to think fast and called several electrical companies and did not have any luck, mind you this was on MLK holiday at 6:30 at night. I looked on Yelp and came across GE Electrical Services and our Hero Edmond the service manager answered the phone and said he would be right over. He stated it would only take him 20 min to arrive and once he did he kicked right into action, he identified the issue and stated that there was a fire in the wall. He worked quickly to cut the power to the dangerous old, rusted and exposed wires to ensure safety. He also let us know that 3 new lines would have to be ran and that he would email us the cost and schedule us for his next appointment Wednesday 22, 2020.
