Then, several months after installation, I ran into a problem with my new bi-fold doors that stopped working. Kerry, the Cust Svc mgr had their own technician come out right away, and when he couldn't resolve the issue, they called the manufacturer in. The mfg fixed the problem immediately, and my bi-fold doors are working better now than before. I really want to leave a better review, but I hope others can learn from my experience. Raymond was incredible. He answered all my questions and helped me come up with some unique solutions. I would love to work with Raymond again. That said, the quality of the work is mixed. I believe Sivan uses sub-contractors to install their windows. (1) They dinged up the inside of our walls and interior trim. Some of this I unfortunately didn't notice until later. The good thing though is that I asked them to be more careful the next day, and I didn't notice any damage then. Raymond also provided a small discount on the price, but not enough to repair the damage. (2) The team uses white caulking to install the windows. Neither the windows I ordered nor the color of my house is white, so I need to hire someone else to come paint around the windows. I wish I had been informed of this in advance as it was an unexpected cost of a couple hundred. (3) This is a minor detail, but when my parents had retrofit windows installed, I noticed that the interior vinyl strips were cut at an angle where they met at the corners (like a nice picture frame). Mine were installed square. I didn't know to ask them to cut it at an angle, but they were nice enough to reinstall several pieces when I pointed out large gaps. Overall, Raymond and customer service is incredible. Quality of the work might depend on your luck. Also pay close attention inside and out when they are finished (not just the window, but also around it). I think they will be willing to redo some work if you spot issues early and while they are still around. If I had been more observant and been more assertive in my asks, this could easily have been a 5-star experience. read more

We just had the doors from Sivan installed that I mentioned on July 3rd. We had a delay due to termite issues we had to resolve with tenting before we could have our door installation continue. They were not rushed as some tasks took longer then they expected and did a great job at repairing the termite damage found under one of the doors and precisely replaced with pressure-treated wood. Gabriel (our main installer) and his helper were very methodical in aligning the doors, making sure things looked right and showed us how to operate everything. Trim looks great as well. They did an amazing job at blending the stucco after doors were in and cleaning everything up. They even cleaned all the glass and door frames before they left. read more

I had to 3 windows to replace so I contacted Milgard company directly but they said I need to go to one of their approved dealers since they don't sell directly to customers. I asked for a dealer recommendation in my area and they gave me contact Info for Sivan San Jose. I figured Sivan must be one of Milgard's preferred dealers if despite several other dealers in the area they told me to contact Sivan San Jose and so I took the chance and called them. I am glad I took Milgard's recommendation, great experience from start to finish. After contacting Sivan San Jose and explaining what I needed, they told me they will get back to me to get more detail and start the process. I got a call the same day from Sawsan Rafah who was very knowledgeable and patience in listening and answering all my questions. During the process I got regular status update and every time I called or sent an email, I got a response immediately or within few short hours. Our house still had its original windows from when the house was built in the 80s. With electricity and gas proces increasing every year it was time for an upgrade. Raymond was very helpful in explaining the different brand types and had very competitive rates compared to others. He was willing to work with my budget and was great at explaining what the brands offer and their warranty policies. I had many bids with other contractors but they only offered one brand that they partner with, so I'm very grateful that Raymond had samples in his car ready to go. Most companies require a minimum window purchase, but Sivan Windows worked with my budget. Initially I only had enough for one or two windows with other companies, but after discussion I was confident with his team to install 5 windows at an excellent price. I've included pictures below but I forgot to take a picture of the old window in the master bedroom. We had old security bars with the master bedroom window, and his team was able to remove it. We didn't need it anymore so it was fine. We had to patch up the cut areas ourselves. Raymond came by a few days after installation to do another run-through to make sure the windows were properly installed and worked. When we decided it was finally time to replace most of the windows in our house, we checked yelp for local businesses that had good ratings. Sivan was the best on the list. I contacted them and they responded right away with a quote for what I needed. After getting several other quotes, theirs was the best pricing. We worked with Raymond to customize exactly what we wanted the windows to look like, and he was very helpful. He took care of everything for us, even working hard to get a manufacturer discount. They measured everything upfront for free, and when the windows arrived, we were able to schedule the installation within a few days. The installation itself took a day and a half, because we have a lot of windows. The craftsmanship and finishing work is excellent, they are very skilled. They even made some custom trim for us. And the windows look like they always belonged there. During the installation, they were very careful not to make a mess in the house, and left everything immaculate when they were done. It turned out that of our new Windows had a manufacturing defect. Raymond took care of that for us as well, and sent the installers out within a few days with new glass at no cost to us. Raymond also came out to make sure the finished installation was flawless, and showed us some of the features of the new windows. Entry door was purchased from Sivan Windows way back then in February 2023. The contractor installed the door but the bottom ends leave a quarter gap on the bottom when the said door was shut and viewed from the inside. Sivan windows sent their crew and checked what the problem was. Week later, their repair guy came back with the parts and made appropriate adjustment to the hinges to correct the issue free of charge. Foremost, I want to thank Raymond Alvarez for his help to get everything taken care of course, to Elvis the scheduler who took the task of sending his best repair guy, Ramiro. It was a pleasure to work with the team at Sivan to get retrofit replacements for two old windows. I highly recommend them for the good communication, expert setting of expectations, and quality of work. I bought a house recently that was built in the late 90's. It had two windows with warped sashes and broken sash locks that didn't close correctly. The rest of the windows were fine, so I sent out a request to Yelp for window installers. Out of the four that replied, Sivan SJ was one of two installers that were willing to work on a job this small. They also responded the soonest. Casey in sales was great to work with and was very helpful, answering questions about energy efficiency incentives (our windows ended up not being eligible, which is okay), city permits (we didn't need one, and I confirmed with the city), and preparing the info package for HOA approval. We got Milgard Style Line vinyl retrofit windows. It ended up being $2345 for the two windows, which is admittedly a lot per window, but I'm giving some benefit of the doubt for the order being so tiny and I'm told the cost is better for bigger orders. The team, which included Casey, Hannah, and Swati were all a pleasure to work with. I forgot who helped us with the initial in-person measurement and consultation, but this gentleman was patient and direct, didn't push for an upsell, and sold us exactly the level and quantity of product that we said we needed while patiently explaining what our options were. One piece of feedback I'd like to share is about the payment system. After the work was done, I received a text message from a person claiming to be an employee from Sivan asking for a photo of the signed check to pay off our balance. I contacted Hannah, and she confirmed this employee was legit. I was uncomfortable with sending photos of checks worth thousands of dollars by MMS. The second option was Zelle. My bank has a transfer limit for Zelle, so that didn't work. I ended up mailing my check, which seemed to work, but I was told in a phone call that this not usually how they do it. It ended up being fine, but I think it would be better if Sivan SJ could offer some sort of secure payment portal link rather than accepting photos of big checks by mobile. read more
