While I was…read moreimpressed by their prices and the presentation, I was quickly turned off by their customer service. We were sent out a contract to read without a deadline as to when it was to be returned. As I was going out of town, I set it aside to be handled upon my return. When I came back from my trip abroad, I had four voice mails over the course of a week asking me about the status of the contract. I was only out of town for a week. Then, I checked my email to find a message from the photographer with CAPS used throughout the entire email explaining her annoyance that I have not returned her calls. I find it unprofessional when someone types an email with a style similar to a 14 year old. In addition, the photographer asked us if we were not getting back to her or if (this is a direct quote from the email): "date is cancelled or the really sad news that we have saved this date for you and lost out on another job and you have decided to use an unexperienced camera." First, the use of another company would be worse than our wedding being called off? Who says that to potential customers that they are still trying to sign a contract with? Second, just because we are not going with them does not mean we are incapable of finding someone just as competent. It is as if she is remarking that we too are incompetent. I would also like to add that not only is the above sentence poorly structured but the work "unexperienced" is not found in the dictionary. I am happy to say we will NOT be signing a contract with them. I hope they like my use of the CAPS. Oh, and PS, they have won an award from the Knot, which is how they pull you in. Do not be fooled by the award on the wall.

Excellent photography and service x 2!…read more We had our wedding done by this photographer and were very happy with the quality of the work. The special effects pictures are very nicely done. Some are in B&W and others have select items in color. There was not a family member, guest, or part of the event that was missed. One of the best things is having the ability to do whatever we want to do with the pictures. I was able to go on a web site and create a special memory book. There was no pressure at all to buy a minimum order or an album. This is a great feature. The x 2 comes in that we made a gift of this photographer and her services to our son and his wife for their wedding. I highly recommend this photographer!

It has been almost a year since my wedding. I know it has been a long time but I wanted to share my…read morestory so other brides would be aware. I was instantly smitten with the quality of her photos and her eye for detail. We chatted back and forth on messenger for months beforehand. She was attentive, engaging, and professional. I made both the deposit and final payment on time. booked her and her assistant for a full day of shooting - I was so excited she had been able to come and do our wedding. She came into town with no problems, right on time. I had some requests for specific things I wanted, like as many pictures possible of the guests enjoying themselves during cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. We made sure she and her assistant had time to eat and take breaks. Everything went off without a hitch and I then eagerly awaited my sneak peek photos, which were promised within 10 days of the wedding. Our wedding was April 14. We didn't have the sneak peek photos until May 11 - and they were the bare minimum. My messages would be left for days without being viewed at all. She had many excuses - she moved, her internet provider was giving her trouble, she was sick. On April 23rd she assured me I would have sneak peeks any day now - it took another 2 weeks. I didn't push her. I heard nothing after May 11 about the rest of my photos. On June 1 I reached out - it had been over 6 weeks since the wedding. Our contract was very clear that I would have photos uploaded online, as well as flash drives in hand with everything on them, by the 8 week mark. She responded then, and told me exactly what she had finished and what she had left to do. After that nothing. I messaged her again at the 8 week mark on June 9. Although she assured me a link to the online album would be sent to my email, I had nothing. 2 days later (June 11) she finally responded and said that *that very day* she was getting the flash drives and she would have a tracking number for the shipment within 2 days, and would be uploading photos starting that night. It wasn't until June 13 that we got the online album link, and even then only a few groups of photos had been uploaded. That was the last I heard from her. I messaged June 14 to check on progress and ask for the flash drive tracking number, which had never been sent, and again June 16 and June 18. No response. Every day we checked our album, and still not all photos were uploaded. June 20 I sent my last message, laying out the breach of contract and no response. Without warning, communication, or tracking number, our flash drives arrived on June 25. When we got the photos many were spectacular and lovely, exactly what we had been expecting. But as we looked through the drives a pattern became apparent. All the photos from the morning, bridal and groom parties, and the ceremony was there. Family photos were there. But it was like after family photos she lost interest and gave up even trying. I had specifically wanted photos of my guests enjoying the evening and got very few. We had a whole 20 minute session where she stole us away to get shots of us in the gardens lit up at night. We got ONE badly lit, barely edited photo. We had no photos of cake cutting, us with our guests, or our send off. I didn't say anything, grateful for getting what I did. I figured it was just me. But then recently a stranger reached out to me, another bride, with a chillingly similar story. She told me I was one of 5 total brides with the same horrible experience. I wish I had not waited so long to speak up, and been so afraid of confrontation. So be aware - there is a high chance that Victoria will go AWOL on you. It will leave a black mark on your memories of your big day, and tinge the future viewings of your wedding photos with sadness, because your whole wedding is not there. She clearly only has interest in her own projects and ideas and will happily let your photos fall to the wayside when she tires of them or gets bored. As my first anniversary approaches I regret booking her, and wish I had found someone else.

When searching for a wedding photographer, I had a fairly big list of wants. Upon researching the…read moreperson we *thought* we were going to book, we found some shady dealings and legal scariness. I decided to look elsewhere. Searching high and low for GOOD photographers with nice portfolios at prices that weren't obscene was a difficult task. And then I found Sondra! Her prices for a wedding (as of Autumn of 2012) included the engagement session as well as 10 hours on the day and didn't charge a travel fee (she was coming from 90minutes or so away). Amazing. And REASONABLE. We did pay a touch extra for high resolution images to keep (as opposed to those sized best for snapshot-sized prints) and a print release. We haven't yet ordered our large prints through Sondra, but do plan to. Her pricing there is very competitive. On the day, there were a few shots that I really wanted that she didn't get, but looking back I feel that perhaps I didn't vocalize these desires quite enough. However, there is barely evidence of my mother at the reception, and only 1 less-than-grand shot of me walking down the aisle and that did make me sad (and is largely why it's 4 and not 5 stars). Sondra was GREAT, however, as sliding in unnoticed to capture very candid photos for a modern, photojournalistic approach to wedding photography. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sondra to anyone in Wisconsin looking for an event photographer. She's really lovely to work with and the photos are beautiful as well.

Another year later we reached out to Dream Life for our Maternity photos and Nicole just took pictures of our newborn son a week ago.
