Andrea is incredibly welcoming and even keeps special treats on hand for the neighborhood dogs. This guy brings the books every weekend, and he brings them hard... none of the usual remainders you find at other book stands, these are serious straight up books like red cross swimming guides, and pre-war French design annuals, vintage porn magazines, and 2nd edition Walt Whitman. I never leave empty handed. Last time I was there I bought a really great Harry Callahan photography book. He has some pretty obscure stuff. Apparently he is working on a web site which will allow you to sign-up for emails so we can browse online, but for now you gotta schlep out to Williamsburg and check it out the old fashioned way... offline. BTW: The outdoor market is by Yolas - the BEST crunchy beef tacos in brooklyn, right off the L-Trian, Metropolitan stop.
