This space was full of carts when I arrived...

Jo-Anns has almost any kind of fabric & many crafting items, plus some great classes, private & group, for adults &/or children. While I found most items a little pricey even at Jo-Anns 'one day, 60% off' sale, the better items were stocked & people were buying cartloads! The staff were friendly & helpful. Ample parking.

Great store with just about every crafty item you can think of. I love the sales! They have 60% off sales all the time. And they don't mark it up to put it on sale. Friendly knowledgeable staff that can guide you in the right direction. There is always something new to see. And the displays give you lots of ideas for new crafts. They even have a summer camp for the kids. For your next crafty adventure visit Joann!

If you are looking for a new hobby....try one of Joann's fun classes! I took a class here on quilting quarters with a group of my girlfriends...and what fun we had! The teacher was great for all levels of students, and had the patience of a saint! The staff was friendly and helpful in finding the needed items for class, giving many other options when asked. Things that were taught in class: helpful hints on setting up machine, how to load a bobbin, how to use rotary cutters, proper placement of the mat, and angles that make the quilt. The teacher went over the directions, step by step, and then went around the class and helped the ones that needed help. Always offering a compliment to each of the students! My only complaint with the class is that we all made these cute quilt quarters....but did nothing with them! I wish we could have incorporated them into a project together. This was a great beginning class to peak your interest and grow....as you can always take more classes!

Beautiful fabric I got from Joann's to make a prom dress.

I didn't have time to really look at all they had, but it stayed on my mind all day, while I was at work. It must have been a sign to get it before the sale is over. I needed fabric for 2 projects. One is a royal blue, and they had the perfect fabric for this one. The other one, I needed a gold color. I saw one, I was unsure, but since it was on sale, I decided to get it. I only needed 2 yards. The fabric department is busy! I was like the 3rd in line. It was a gentleman assisting everyone, he was very nice and super friendly. When it got to me, there was an employee trade off, she asked him to go and assist a gentleman, that needed something heavy or big taken down. As the lady assisted me, she asked me what I was going to make, I told her a couple of headboards. She was shocked. We were talking about the person I follow on YouTube Yoduvh Essentials, I showed her a couple of videos, I think she is now inspired to do a project as well. I didn't get everything I need for the project, because the other stuff never goes on sale. But at least I got the material.

She was available for questions, but did not hover while I shopped. Perfect balance. Donna was not only friendly, but she has an excellent selection of every line I like (Graphic45, Tim Holtz, ATC and inchie rubber stamps, and materials that can be used in mixed media/ roomboxes). In particular, I was thrilled that Donna has open stock on a wide variety of Tim Holtz Distress inks (ink pads, refills!!!!!!, and markers). I was able to fill in nearly every missing item in my set. Very satisfying. Not only is there a great selection, but the store is laid out in a sensible way for the shopper. I did not find myself going back and forth between different shelves/ areas making comparisons and looking for matching items. No need, because they were all in exactly the right spot. As I was visiting this shop during a business trip, I asked Donna to ship to me (20 ink bottles will not fit into carry-on luggage!). When it arrived promptly at my house, I was completely surprised by how meticulously she had packaged my purchases. There was not a single chip on any of the glass bottles, nor any leakage. Impressive, considering how much glass and liquid ink was in that box! If I am back in the Jacksonville area again, I will definitely visit this shop again. I may, in fact, buy from her over the phone, too. She is very good! I only wish I lived closer, to take some classes.
