Service is a little more important to me than it might be for most folks. I am somewhat disabled and my inability to stand for more than a minute or so makes it hard for me to shop for the things I think I need. (I seldom buy anything I don't have three of at home) When I come into the store there is a bench for me to sit on and wait for help. Even though I run the guys around sometimes the never become impatient with me or act as if I am inconveniencing them at all, even when I know I am. But that only tells half of the story. When I am home and discover a need for a product they might have, I find myself smiling because I know that I am about to be in the company of people who make me feel like family. Thier warm and welcoming response to my arrival brightens my day. As I read the other reviews, I see that I am not the only person who truly appreciates these guys. Things are arranged by plant type and my only suggestion would be larger more colorful/noticeable signs for these sections. Theres ample parking, wagons to use, bulk and bagged products (mulch rocks etc), yard art, lots of trees/shrubs, bonsai stuff, pond stuff, and more! Lots to see. And a clean, easily accessible restroom!

When I walked in the other day, I was greeted by an employee with bright pink hair who offered me a shopping bag. I politely declined and started walking into the store to browse. Instead of letting me shop, she continued talking to me while following me around the store. I tried several times to politely disengage by continuing to browse, but she kept following me and speaking very loudly. The interaction quickly went from friendly to overwhelming. I understand greeting customers and offering assistance, but this employee seemed unable to recognize that I wanted to shop on my own. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and like I couldn't simply browse in peace. By the end of it, I just wanted to leave and come back another day. I've never experienced anything like this at this location before, which is disappointing because I genuinely enjoy shopping here. I hope this employee receives some coaching on reading customers' body language and recognizing when someone is politely trying to end a conversation. Great customer service isn't just about being outgoing... it's also about knowing when to step back and give customers the space to enjoy their shopping experience.
