This store is very large, well organized, and clean. I've shopped here as well as used the in-store pick up feature where you check out online and pick up in store when it's ready (same day). The staff are friendly and helpful. I've even seen them find coupons for customers who haven't brought any themselves! The loss of 1 star is for the occasional register or cut table back-up. Only 1 star lost because it's 50/50 store/customer (not enough registers/ coupons not ready, indecision in cuts or what to do if there isn't enough fabric on the bolt). If you're in a hurry, it's a toss up if you'll get out in the time you planned. read more

I had a great experience at Joann fabrics. I had gone into the store to get materials to sew masks. I had called them ahead of time to ask a few questions, and I was able to get a lot of help over the phone. When I got into the store, I was pleased to see that not many people were out and about. I was able to grab what I needed and get out of there quickly. I did need help finding specific material, and one of the workers took time to help me. Every employee I encountered was very friendly, despite the circumstances. They were there to help and wanted to help me find all that I was looking for. I had no idea how much home decor this store had! If we were not in the middle of a virus, I would have stayed around and looked through all the spring decor. They had some really great things! I am making a mental note to remember this once quarantine is over. I also appreciated the sale on the items needed to sew masks. I had looked into this store, as they were putting together mask kits for people to help sew masks for those employees in need. I really appreciate the store doing their part to help during this time of need. It was certainly a nice gesture! read more

Hmm! I saw they are actively trying to hire so I don't want to be too harsh. Could use a few more workers or maybe more helpful ones ? I had ceramics, things that could break etc and after I paid cashier just stared at me-like, bye. I asked for a bag? Kind of a weird experience. I'd called prior to coming to inquire about a certain item looking for and it was also a very bizarre and awkward exchange! Weird! I'd imagine you don't need to know about or be skilled in any craft to work here, nor could they require that. Just a good attitude or customer service sort of experience would make a big difference for your shopping/customer base in general! I don't want to go back to this one. read more

While standing at the cutting table waiting at the Mason, OH JoAnn's, one of the employees looked at my project and commented she liked it. Another cutting table employee was also behind the counter. I was the only customer there. I needed some felt cut and was ready. The employee that commented on my project just turned and walked away without asking if I needed help. The other employee was standing there, but did not ask if she could help me. Another customer walked up and she started helping her while I was still standing there waiting. It was unbelievable that they were that rude. I said I feel ignored. The customer looked at me, but the employee ignored me. I left and went to Hobby Lobby down the street where I was treated like a good paying customer. I belong to a very large quilt guild here in town. Believe me, they will hear about it. read more

Came here the day before Thanksgiving with my wife to buy her a nice sewing machine for Christmas. There was a 300.00 one on sale for 199.00. So we bought and paid cash for it back in the sewing machine department. Sales lady with Russian accent was very helpful. Now, here's where things got interesting. I had 600 cash in a bank envelope (twelve 50.00 bills), so there were still 8 bills left that I put back in my pocket. About an hour later at our next stop in Trii-County, I discovered that the envelope was missing. We drove back to the store. By then it was very busy with many customers and clerks, but no one was available to work the service desk. So we left, and called the store after arriving home and talked to the clerk we had dealt with earlier, describing our predicament. She indicated that no one to her knowledge had found the envelope inside the store. The most likely place I had lost it was out in their parking lot, where i had fished for my keys.in the bottom of the same pocket. Things looked pretty grim at that point. We also called the next store we had shopped in, but with the same result. Two days later on Friday, we decided to make another trip to JO Anns just in case anyone had turned something in. THEY DID !! Apparently, a female empolyee had found it back in a part of the store that we hathere for a beautifuldn't apparently visited. Someone named Melissa assisted me and went back to the back office to retrieve the envelope--because of its value, they put in in a separate business envelope, not having any info as to the identity of the owner. Needless to say, we were ecstatic to learn of the honesty of their employee, and very appreciative of our experience at this Jo Ann Fabrics. We will be loyal customers for years to come. Because of Jo Ann fabrics, we will have a nice Christmas for more than one reason. Kudos to everyone there for their great customer service and integrity. Kudos to everyone read more

I visited this location after work a couple nights ago. I wanted to check out fabric for my wedding decorations. I have a very busy work schedule, I work about 12 hours a day and can't make it to the store before 8:30 if I'm lucky. I just wanted a couple of yards of practice fabric. I'm planning and decorating my entire wedding 100% on my own. That's already pretty stressful, on top of my restrictive work schedule it's a nightmare. The last thing I need is to deal with a nasty store clerk. I found something that I liked, went over to the cutting counter around 5 til. The woman behind the counter was SO rude, I couldn't believe it! She huffed and hissed under her breath, muttering something about it being 'ridiculous'. Slammed my fabric around, and snapped over her headset for someone to make another announcement. Meaning someone announce the store is closing. Then she barked that it was an inch shy of 2 yards. I told her it was fine, it was CLEARLY such a hassle to begin with. There were obviously other pieces of fabric for her to cut from. But she didn't want to, she just took the scrap that was pre-cut and offered it to me. I was STUNNED, I couldn't even look at the woman to get her name, she was so horrible and spent the entire time scowling at me. I've worked retail, I understand it's frustrating to have people come in at the last moment, but I wasn't asking for much and I was very polite. There was another employee there helping another customer. Not only was she HAPPILY helping the other woman, she was going out of her way to ensure the customer was satisfied! I had planned on using Joann Fabrics as a resource for a majority of my wedding decorations, not anymore. I will never step foot in this store again. That woman was horrible and entirely unprofessional. I would love to leave a higher score, the cashier was wonderful, and I witnessed other employees that were amazing, but this woman deserves a single star. She was so incredibly rude. I had purchased an item online and tried to use a coupon. The coupon was added to my cart but was not reflected in the total amount. I assumed it would show once I checked out. It didn't, I was charged the full amount. I immediately (less than 10 minutes later) called customer service and was told that the item was not eligible for a coupon. I responded that If the coupon wasn't valid it wouldn't have been added to my cart. I was put on hold, then told there are no coupons for that item. I asked if I could cancel the order, I was told no, but I could return it. Once it arrived I took it to the store. After being ignored for some time (which happens at many Joann stores), I asked about returning my item. I would have to pay a $25 "restocking fee" and would be given store credit for the rest. WTF!!! Why would I want to shop in a store that screwed me over??? The email I received with my order confirmation said items can be returned to the store free of charge. Before I could answer, the clerk walked away and never returned. My problems with all of this are: orders can't be canceled within a short amount of time, the restocking fee, and of course the store credit. After this experience, I am very reluctant to shop at Joann's again. read more

Went there during the Coronavirus fiasco and waited in line in the rain with my wife to pick up an online order. After 35 minutes we were finally the lucky people to be in the entryway out of the elements. When the clerk told us we were now able to enter only one could enter the store because of the social distancing rule. I explained that we are married and rarely 6ft apart. She then advised me that the sheriff is monitoring them for compliance. Asked to see the sheriff because being a sheriff I would like to say hello. She said the sheriff was monitoring them remotely. During this time I observed the one clerk at a register and another clerk apparently counting ceiling tiles. My wife picked up her order and we left, I will have to be desperate for something that only JoAnns sells before I ever set foot in that store again. Apparently the management likes to hire and retain the sloth people. read more

We've always been pleased with this Jo-Ann. Not only is it clean and easy to find things, but the majority of the staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. I've been to some craft stores where things are just thrown on the shelves at random and it's impossible to find things, but such is not the case here. It still has that awful fake pine cones and flowers smell that all craft stores have, but I suppose that can't be avoided. Jo-Ann primarily stocks fabrics, yarns, knitting and related wares but they do have some other miscellaneous craft stuff. The checkout area is a bit of a maze too but not so bad once you get used to it. Hopefully this Jo-Ann will stay nice for a good while - I or my husband often find ourselves doing something where we need various craft items or fabrics. read more

The SLOWEST and most unorganized store I have ever seen. If you need to get any fabric or trim cut, be prepared to spend a minimum of 1-2 hours waiting in line. It is also impossible to find anything and all workers are too busy cutting fabric at a snail's pace to help. read more

I was there on 12/3/17 to by a cricut maker ($399) and I dealt with 4 different people and each one was rude and unhappy. And not one could tell me their return policy on this item nor did anyone want to help me and answer my questions. It seemed that I was bothering them. read more

I came to buy fabric yesterday, brought my very behaved dog, Joann's is on the dog friendly list, was there about 30 minutes picking out fabric and waiting for it to be cut, some lady longer grey hair, headband and glasses comes up but still at a distance and yells "is that a service dog" in front of a crowd of people and says if it is not then you need to leave. Very rude and nasty woman and has no business working with the public. It is common sense to not "yell" near an animal especially if it was a service dog, what if that person was deaf or had another disability? she would of really felt like an idiot. read more
