Ordering through the app was easy. I appreciated the coupon that I was able to use. However, at the end of the day, I felt like my experience was more frustrating than what it was worth. Let me provide some details. On 8/27/20 I submitted an order through the app. 2.5 hours later my order was ready for pickup. When I arrived I called the # on the curbside pickup sign (614) 985-0475. When I arrived there were only 2 curbside parking spots. I called the number on the sign and provided what seemed like an excessive amount of Information. The person asked me my first/last name, spelling of my last name, my order number, what color and car I was driving, and if I was actually there yet. It took 13 minutes for somebody to show up to my car with my order. I later noticed the number on the store front was different than the one I had called. Ordering through the app was easy and the coupon had some value. I felt that I could have completed my order much faster in person, but the coupon was for curbside pickup only. read more

First time in this new store in Polaris. But, my wife shops for home decor, flowers, crafts, patterns, and books in their other stores often. This new store is set to be their "Flagship" store and their Grand Opening with lots of sale prices up to 70% off. It's bright, colorful, and even offers help with touch screens. Lots of staff available to answer questions, guide you to anything you might be wanting, and introduce you to some of the new features of this store. If they don't have something you are looking for, there are managers and corporate people on hand to make sure they get it for you. We told them about something we hoped to find that was not in the store and we were told that what we wanted was a good suggestion for the store. We were asked to give them a couple of weeks to get our item in, but as soon as it was in, they would text AND call us to let us know when it was in the store. Wow! That's really taking service seriously. One of the best physical additions in the store here is a special computer interface for signing up to have material cut. In most stores when you buy fabric, you stand in line "forever" - especially when they are busy. Often times you have to catch somebody in the area who provides that service. Then you take your fabric and wait, and wait, and wait your turn to have your material cut because many times there will be one or more customers at the cutting station who were already wanting someone to cut their fabric. The problem arises because YOU were the one who sought out a clerk to do the cutting and now must wait for those other customers to have their fabric cut. However, at this new Joann store, you sign-in to put your name in the computer. A big overhead screen (large enough to see from almost anywhere in the store,) lights up your name. Then it displays the name of the customer and the "cutter" working with them at the table. The name of the customer who is next and the cutter assigned to them is shown and so on. You can continue shopping, knowing that your name and the cutter assigned to you, will show up on the screen when you are next. Even though there were two or three people ahead of us, we could see when we were next in line. I always dread the usual, lengthy process when I'm with my wife and she wants to get several bolts of material cut. I often make an excuse for walking over to another part of the store that I deem more interesting or tell her "I'm going to wait for you in the car." But, with the new equipment in place at Joann, I wanted to see this process in action. I overheard many customers talking about how much they liked this new service . . . and saw quite a few men (sexist comment not withstanding) who stayed in the area with their wives or whoever was having material cut. Will I be back? You bet! I'll even go in this store with my wife even if she wants to get material cut. read more

They recently had the store renovated/remodeled. Things seem to be more organized, areas are clearly marked. There is a whole new area designated for classes. I don't see much but there seems to be a larger selection of fabrics as well as sewing machines. Their customer service is exceptional. Been here twice in the past 2 months. The store is great but how do you have 8 check outs and only one person working the check out. The line is unreal , going all the way almost to the back of the store and they do nothing to move it along. Iv never left a comment on yelp ever cause things good or bad don't really bother me , but this is absolutely ridiculous to have to wait almost 25 mins just to check out of the store. The staff at this location are incredibly kind. Nancy R, one of their managers at the time went out of her way to help me with a return. She really puts the customer first and it did not go unnoticed. I also had a great experience with Hayley and Taylor 2 of their other managers. I had them frame an authentic Thomas Kinkade print for me a year or so ago at the Polaris location. The print was professionally packaged in a cardboard tube from Thomas Kinkade Studios, I had examined the print prior to taking it to JoAnn's to ensure the correct print and dimensions. When I received the framed print back from them it had waves and creases, it looked like someone had taken the rolled print out of the tube, sat on it, and then framed it. They essentially ruined a $500 piece of artwork. I'm guessing this was left to a teenager instead of someone who was qualified to do the work. read more

One of the prettiest and most organized JoAnns I have ever been in. This location is also huge. From fabrics to crafts, they have it all. Stopped in to get tie dye products and they had a well stocked section of dyes and tshirts in any size and color. Quick and easy. Also found some super cute mugs in the check line. I'm really impressed with the new JoAnns store on Polaris Parkway! We were able to be there for ribbon cutting at this store! It is amazing how they have made at this store! You can put your name at a kiosk when needing fabric cut. When is your turn, they put your name up on a screen that is visible all around the store! No more waiting in line to get your fabric cut! Yeah! The store is the first satellite store that they have done. Planning for more in the future. The store is divided into sections such as crafts,wedding, painting,flowers and yarn to name a few. The sales that are through tomorrow are really great prices! You can go to the web sight and find coupons to receive further discounts! The fabric is divided into the type of fabric you need. Fabrics range from satin and silk to muslin. Pls on staying there awhile! There is so much to see! read more

I have been here twice and walked out. Pretty good selection of goods but the customer service is awful. The lines are long and the cashiers don't seem to care at all. I was looking for something I had never bought before and didn't know where it was located in the store. There was nobody on the floor to ask and the signage is not very effective. This Jo-Ann's is the best! Cashiers are so friendly. Can get kind of busy/long lines but they are calm and efficient. Felt like a noob getting fabric at the counter but the employee asked about what I was making and reassured me. They have so much, basically any craft, they have the supplies. At the last minute I was frantically looking for a fanny pack for a Halloween costume. Called Jo-Ann's and sure enough the incredibly nice, nonjudgmental woman told me they had some. Recently took a basic sewing class and was very pleased. Instructor was sweet, helpful and experienced. I have little experience sewing and feel like it was a nice intro. Got a few items (scissors, pins, etc., included). It was a great deal. Definitely an above average store. read more

Listen people, the old Joann fabrics was horrible and I hated it when R dragged me here and I complained constantly and then we would get into fights and whatnot. Now, now Joann is my new favorite store. You guys, they have free coffee and cookies and comfortable chairs where I can sit and consume said coffee and cookies. I just about LIVE at Jo Ann fabrics with how often I visit! I do a lot of sewing, so this store is a God send to me! I love their array of fabrics - I can always find what I need for my costumes that I am working on. They also have an area where you can purchase crafts for your children to do - My daughter always find something to do! Their sewing notions are always exactly what I need and is easy to find. I want to try out one of their classes at some point - but not sure when that will fit into my busy schedule! read more

The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up purchasing a juki after one of the associates showed us about 5 models of sewing machines. She spent time with us and explained all the features on each one. It really helped us make our decision and we have been happy with the purchase. I have been to this location many times though I'm not a true frequenter of Jo-Anns. They run great sales on select items and there is usually a decent coupon for regular priced items however there standard price point can be a bit higher than there competition (depending on if you need sewing items or decorative items). On this visit I was on a mission and they were closing in about 30 minutes. There was one cashier but a few other employees hanging pricing tags for the next day's sales. I was helped by a couple of the floor staff though none of them could direct me to what I wanted (wine glass charms). I randomly found 4 different packs of them in different seasonal sections. One section was being tagged for next day sale as I was walking by. The guy tagging didn't informing if they would honor the new pricing but the cashier offered to do so. I wound up buying 3 packs and a couple of clearance items. Overall I was pleased; they had what I wanted and they honored the lower price. The staff was friendly however I wish they were more aware of the product selection and offered additional accommodations on pricing without me having to ask. read more

I live 2,000 miles away from this store, but whenever I am in town, I want to visit it. We have Jo-Ann superstores out here, too, but they are cluttered and somewhat dispirited. I write this so that you will know how good you have it. Jo-Ann's has a fantastic selection of fabric and craft supplies. Yes, the staff will sometimes seem harried, but that is only because they are so dreadfully understaffed all the time. The seasonal items are generally pretty cute, but wait for the sales to hit; the prices are designed so that the items can be at 50% off or more most of their shelf life. read more

Stand in line for seemingly eternity. Get to the point of sale holding only a scrap piece of foam from the foam section and go to check out. "Sir, I have no idea how much this is. You'll need to go back to the 'cut bar' for a measurement". Proceed to exit line to return to foam area, push the "need assistance button" which apparently summons zero people to help. Use area to lounge around in hopes someone will help but to no avail. I was willing to PAY your company for something discarded as scrap. False advertisement, processed order so slow , uses COvId as excuses for laziness and no good explanations or considerations . This store has made some huge improvements in the past year or two. I had previously scored them very low, mostly for the horrible customer service. However, the employees are now friendly, even helpful, they will often let you use more coupons at check-out that's technically allowed. I highly recommend this Joanns over all of the other nearby (especially the Easton one. Avoid that one at all costs). read more

Great store, reasonable prices. I challenge you to find something that they don't have. Many good women have and failed. If you paint or use canvasses for anything, they are very reasonable and the art supplies in general are typically on some sort of sale. Sales staff is helpful albeit a bit put off when you ask for advice... I have had several act as if it is an abomination if you do not know what items you need to achieve this look or to complete that project. So I would go prepared with a list of what you need. I could easily get lost in here for a long time dreaming up craft projects that I would start but never complete. ;) read more

I am an artist, as well as being a lifelong sewer and knitter. I've also been a Joann customer for over 30 years, and I even worked there once. Unfortunately all i have to say about this store is YECCH. They have recently cut down on staff by at least 50%. That means there is never enough presence at the cutting counter or the checkout, even on a massive sale day. Almost all the employees seem very tense and unhappy, except for the ones who are just TOO cheerful, if you know what I mean. The merchandise is displayed poorly, making it difficult to find specific items. Also, the quality of the fabric has taken a nosedive. If you buy any kind of yardage, insist on examining ALL of it for defects before they cut it. Shopping there is not a pleasant experience anymore. Even their sales can't pull me in. I go there only when I have to, and it's always an ordeal. read more

I love Joann Fabrics for the "Blue Moon" beading stuff they have-it's fun, inexpensive, and just the kind of stuff I like to make jewelry out of. Other craft stores have really overpriced(and crap, to be frank)beading materials. I went in to this Joann Fabrics tonight to look for some kind of crackle/weathering paint, and they didn't have any. Although......they might have, I just could not find an employee available to ask that question. I saw probably a dozen employees wandering around and not ONE of them asked me if I needed any help(which I would have done, especially since I'm pretty sure I was wandering around with a lost puppy look on my face). I know, I know, I probably just should have flagged one down and asked them my question. By the time I had decided to give up on the crackle, I was content to buy some more beading supplies. I recently visited the Easton & Polaris locations in search of a Singer sewing machine I saw in the ad paper. The lady who runs the sewing machine dept at the Easton location told me she was an independent contractor and wasn't sure where the store machines were located. I asked a store employee and she wasn't sure either. We walked around the store and finally located them, however, no one could provide any specifics on the store machines. The lady at Polaris was also an independent contractor and informed me her Viking machines was much better than the Singer store machines. I left both stores empty handed and still in need of information. read more

To be honest, I always get discouraged in this JoAnn's. It is a big store with a ton of fabric but it seems to be lacking in all other areas. I saw a lady who was sitting at an embroidery machine (which I assumed was for display purposes) and she just evil eyed me as I walked by. Sucks for her, I was in the mood to drop $400 and it could have been under her name for the sale. The store was HOT, so hot I couldn't physically breathe in it and was covered in sweat by the time we left. I mentioned it to the cashier and his reply was "it happens".... The clearance was scattered all over the place instead of consolidated into one section for ease. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. My mother and I stopped in today (5/25/14) to plan a bridal shower and planned on spending a good deal of money but walked out after our experience. We were looking for ribbon and the selection we found was awful. It was just the end of one aisle of thread. This was surprising for a JoAnns which usually has a great selection so we spent 5 minutes trying to find someone to ask if they had more ribbon elsewhere. After we were unable to find any store employee we finally walked up to the register to ask if they could help us. Three registers were open however the store was dead and there were no customers at any register or in line. My mom asked one of the women at one of the registers if she could help us since we were unable to find anyone on the floor and she replied in an extremely winey voice "with what?" We asked if they had any other ribbon than what we found and she just pointed to an area of the store and said "it's over there somewhere". When we asked if she could show us she said she wasn't permitted to leave the register even though there were others open and no customers in line. I asked another cashier if she could call a manager over and after telling the manager what happened she just started at us with a blank expression. She didn't apologize for the cashiers rude unhelpful behavior or anything. Finally we just asked her to show us to the ribbon section and she showed us the same dismal selection we found ourselves previously and then she just walked away. We ended up just putting our cart full of stuff down and leaving the store. These people could not have been any more miserable to be at work which really isn't the customers problem. read more

Each time I have visited this JoAnn's location I've waited in the check-out line for 15+ minutes. I recently bought a decoration item on-sale and when I asked the cashier about the return policy, she said I could return it with the receipt - no biggie. Two weeks later when I go to return the item, the lady says, "No, you cannot return sale items." She didn't care that the previous employee informed me wrong, because I said I wouldn't have bought it if I knew I couldn't return it if need be. She was very unkind.
