GUYS. I can not recommend Joanna and her crew enough. Just got home to see my home PROPERLY deep cleaned. Let me walk you through my past experience... we have tried using cleaners 4 others times. Every single one, we were so disappointed. The first finished in like an hour (what a joke). The second didn't even lift objects to wipe the whole surface underneath (uuuum?) the third was really really nice, but there were streak marks everywhere. The fourth was just okay... (he didn't even use proper bathroom cleaning supplies to get the soap grime). Now I am not joking. I have never seen our place this clean. I've literally spent the last 20 minutes walking around, wiping my finger across odd surfaces (like they do in the movies), and can't find any dirt or dust. I'm not exaggerating. And it's the stuff the other cleaners always missed: the inner ridge of the door molding, the tops of the baseboards, way behind the toilet, under my desk on the floor (yes I got on my hands and knees). Deep clean baby!!! She sent two cleaners, it took them 5 hours, and it was worth every penny. I've already recommended them to my friend, who just moved to Brooklyn, into an improperly cleaned apartment. Another wonderful day of help at the apartment! I have a hard time with all the cleaning, and this is a great company! So worth it

These ladies are the best. We've used them a few dozen times over the years in three different apartments, and I think every time save one the apartment has been spotless and perfect. Often, it's better-organized than when we left it, too (though it can take us a day to figure out in which (much better) location our magazines now are, for example). For a two-bedroom apartment, four hours with one cleaner ($100) every four or five weeks has generally been sufficient. We had a regular person (Anna) for a couple years who was amazing, but after she became ill (hope you're doing better!), we've had different cleaners who have all been timely and professional. Some have had less English fluency than others, but it's simply a matter of showing them where you keep your cleaning supplies/equipment and showing them what you need. They've even handled my random requests (like cleaning the surfaces in my fridge) with efficiency. (Don't forget to tip well, these folks work hard!) Upgrading my rating from my prior review. They failed to touch the top of cabinets the last time I called and barely made a dent in the oven. After complaining Joanna said she would give me $10 off the hourly rate next time I order cleaners. I did need another deep clean and the two that showed up did a much better job. They don't just clean, they wipe down surfaces dust every picture and help organize and cut the clutter . I've been using Joann Cleaning since May 2019 and I am extremely pleased with her service. She answers the phone right away, is extremely professional and easy-going to talk to and I LOVE the ladies I've worked with to clean my home. The cleaning ladies are always on time, hard workers and don't play games when it comes to cleaning! LOL They're like super women and get sh*t done! I recently worked with Gosha #2 (yes, there's two women by the name of Gosha) who didn't clean, but organized. Oh my gosh. This woman was like bionic woman and super woman combined LOL. Rarely do I ask for someone to professionally come and take care of my apartment but after moving in and constantly redoing, moving and hanging up various fixtures I knew it was time to call the pros. I'll update to add the woman's name who came to clean, but she was fantastic. Covered literally every spot, cleaned the floor by hand and made sure to place everything back after moving it. I have many antiques and valuables and she was careful with all of it. I have small dogs and she was patient, fun and kind with them even when they can easily get underfoot. As a result I definitely think it's worth the value and I'll be making this a regular thing every 3-4 weeks. read more

Both times that I brought Joanna Cleaning Service in, I was having a party and needed a professional since the professional seems to get it buttoned up, tight and sparkling, which I can't seem to do. Terrible, corrupt. Not honest and doesn't communicate well. I was clear that I couldn't afford a deep cleaning which is 60 an hour so I requested a general cleaning which Joanna said was "25 per hour" so then she said she will send a "team". I asked to confirm is this still a general cleaning and she said yes. So she sends 2 girls and then charges me 50 dollars an hour because apparently it's 25 for each cleaner. A mediocre job still dirty on windowsills and under the bed and I paid almost as much as i would have for a deep cleaning. Awful communication skills and was busy defending herself on the phone instead of admitting she didn't communicate price clearly to the customer. Way overpriced service and doesn't care about client needs or admitting mistakes. Stay away from this woman read more

When I called and ask for the price they said it was $59.99 for 2 hrs for a 1 br apartment. They sent 2 cleaning ladies and since I've hired other cleaning services before, I wanted to make sure the bedroom was spotless. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are usually clean since they aren't uaed as much. Well they took 1.5 hrs to clean the bedroom and didn't thinking they would get much done with only 30 mins. So I decided to pay them for a full 2 hr. However thwy called the office and apparently they were charging me $74.99. I asked why and she claimed that it is $69.99 for 2 hrs and with tax it's $75. After arguing for a while and pressed for time now. I juat payed the asking price with no tip. Never going to go through this service again read more

We hired this cleaning company to clean up our apartment for about four hours at a rate of $25/hour. Nothing was thoroughly cleaned in the apartment. When we went to inspect things like corner crevices and even underneath the toilet seat, there was still dirt and grime in places that should have been cleaned to the T. Things like the toilet should be well tended to when you are hiring a cleaning crew. If they mess up on this, can they get anything right? The floor wasn't even cleaned properly, as it was still dirty when we came into the apartment. Based on the materials that the cleaning crew left, we could tell that the floor was cleaned with pretty cheap supplies. If I'm going to be paying $25 per hour for cleaners, I'd hope and expect that they would be using professional-quality cleaning materials for my house. We used this cleaning service based on these positive reviews on Yelp, but realized shortly the apartment cleaning that these reviews are likely almost all fake. If you take a look at these reviews, most of them are done by people who have only written one or two Yelp reviews, and this could hardly be deemed credible for any business. I loved that they started by asking what my expectations were for their service and ended by asking me to review the apartment to make sure I was totally happy. Yesterday was my third cleaning with Joanna. I've been beyond satisfied each time, especially because every other cleaning service I have used in New York City has been a NIGHTMARE. Joanna's is nowhere near that. First, Joanna makes it easy as you can set-up appointments with her (as a repeat customer) by text message. Very good for my fast paced life; a few texts and boom, I am confirmed. Second, Joanna's girls are always on time. Yesterday, Joanna's representative showed up 15 minutes early. Having had other cleaning services (cough, Alpha Living) have their employees either not show up at all or show up hours late, Joanna's employees' being so prompt is a breath of fresh air. Finally, and most importantly, cleaning is always top notch. Yesterday we asked for a fridge cleaning as well and I have honestly never seen my refrigerator this clean; not even when I moved it. It's gorgeous! With my last cleaning service, the girl even put my laundry away!! She went above and beyond; it was wonderful. Only reason for not 5 stars is that with each of our girls that we've had by to clean, there was always 1 or 2 things that she missed. We've started making a list that we leave so as to make sure this does not happen. Also, sometimes the girls unplug things and do not plug them back in. This is the first time I've used a company to clean my place as I used to think paying someone to clean an apartment space, and not do a great job at that, is a waste of money. I'm from the south originally, so the thought of having someone clean my place that wasn't a large house seemed ridiculous to me...that is until you get into the hustle/bustle of the city and run low on time while dust and grime accumulate soooooo much here. I have never - that is NEVER - had anyone do such work in my presence. Every fortnight Theresa arrives and makes my space livable again... Coming home after she's been there is nothing short of glorious. She takes such care, and has incredible attention to detail. I believe as of writing this, she is completely booked. However, I used Joanna's service in March before moving into my apartment so they can clean the dust and dirt off every shelf and clean the beyond disgusting oven and refrigerator that was left behind. They left behind the little ledge outside my apartment and the broiler in my oven and Joanna sent them the next day to come clean it and they did.. and did a phenomenal job. Not only are there five-star reviews, but there are five-star reviews that go on at length about the exquisite first experience of having one's home cleaned by Joanna Cleaning Service and the exquisite continuing service. I knew my place was a tough job so we estimated two cleaning people for five hours; it only took them eight hours each. These women are fanatics about clean and organized. They cleaned everything on every shelf. They cleaned the shelves. They re-organized every shelf. They cleaned every crystal and rock and stone. I don't even know how many crystals, rocks and stones I have! They went big-game hunting and demolished every dust rhinoceros under the bed. They vacuumed every rug twice. They scrubbed the floors on their hands and knees, and then they dried those floors. I have to put on sunglasses to go into the bathroom or kitchen. We have yet to tackle the study, with its own mysteries of fossils and antique pharmacy glassware. I think that shall be our next project. They really want me to mention their name, these women who rescued my domestic joy, and the only reason I am is because I have already called Joanna and said, "Those two are mine and you will send them to me for every booking I make." As the daughter of immigrants I appreciate the cleaners' hard work, attention to detail, good value, and willingness to accommodate special requests. Grazyna was our first cleaner, and she made everything shine. Today Agnieszka arrived and did an equally good job. She even cleaned the inside of our refrigerator and freezer without being asked. We've used Joanna for a few months now and have had a couple of her nice ladies come in and clean. We use them about once a month. When we were searching for this type of service we were a little concerned because we have a dog. She is a friendly dog but you never can tell how outsiders are going to react around pets. Everyone we have had come in has been very sweet to our puppy, letting her wander around as they clean. They are awesome with her! As far as cleaning, they are very professional, very thorough and affordable. They are very accommodating when it comes to specific guidance (clean this but avoid that). Betty and Agnes did a fabulous job deep cleaning my grandpa's house. They arrived early and were nice, professional and through. They really got into the corners and left no stone unturned. Don't ask why my grandpa has stones in his house... ;) I bought my own supplies because I'm particular about what I use to clean and didn't want to spend the extra $ for them to bring theirs. The one less star is because I'm used to having a service that arrives with all of their cleaning tools, but I imagine that's harder to come by in a big city. Ana and Barbara left my apartment just minutes ago. These two women are AMAZING!! They arrived exactly when promised and immediately went to work - I offered them coffee and other things but they are ALL BUSINESS! My place was a dust-covered mess and within a few hours they made it sparkle from floor to ceiling, including the fridge, freezer, cabinets,,, EVERYTHING!!
