My daughter has been attending classes at this dance studio since August. My husband and I are very, very pleased with the instructors (Danielle, Serena, and Dawn). They provide an individual experience for the kids in a group setting. The class is age-appropriate but it pushes them to learn more and expand on any skills they may have previously acquired. I am very happy for my daughter to continue growing and learning here. As. A last note, the price is basically a steal. It's $42.00 a month (plus a small annual fee). If you have more than one kiddo, I think it's offered at lower rates. Keep up the great work. Thank you ladies for being great dance role models for my ambitious daughter. read more

My daughter has been attending dance since she was 3 years old. This was her first type of group class and for the first month she cried each class. Her teacher, Ms Serena, encouraged her and she slowly warmed up. After a month she was dancing and following the class routine. She loves dance and looks forward to it every week. We like how the class is structured, half ballet and then half tap. Now after the pandemic, she is 5 and loving dance still. She was extremely happy when classes started back up. She started gymnastics now, and is enjoying building her floor/mat skills. She enjoys the positivity and hi fives from her teachers and has a great sense of accomplishment every week. I couldn't get my money back for the 3 classes that I paid for since we are not going back. . I took ballet, jazz, tap, and gymnastics from Joanna for seven years when I was a kid and remember it fondly. She is an excellent teacher, a creative and talented dancer and choreographer, and puts on a damn good show. She teaches all ages and is extremely patient and willing to work with the less able dancers while still finding time to help the more natural dancers meet new challenges and advance. She has a knack for picking fun, hip music. When I was little, Aladdin was all the rage and she managed to assign certain parts of each song to each age group. We performed it in full costume and it was pretty rad. I highly recommend giving Joanna a try, I know I will if I ever have kids. read more

My daughter has been going here for the past month and she loves it & looks forward to class each week. She takes Ballet/Tap at our local community center which is very convienant for us. The monthly fee is very affordable, $35 a month plus $20 annual registration fee. There are two teachers for her class that are very hands on and help the students focus and stay on task, which can be hard for 2-5 year olds. Overall this class is working out for our family. I look forward to seeing my little girl dance around the house showing us what she has learned! read more

I looked all over Sacramento for a dance class for my 2 year old and am so glad I found Joanna's Kids R It! The price is affordable and the classes are fantastic. My daughter has attended about a month and half of spotty classes (lots of medical travel and illness for our family), but she already has 5 steps down! She practices often, at random places and it is so cute! Better still, the classes are helping her learn to listen. (At 2, I will take all the help I can get with this!) She loves her Miss Emily and learning each step. She also enjoys seeing her friends each week (and I enjoy the other parents!). I have visitted other dance venues, but I am truly happy with Joanna's Kids R It. I thought I might find better with a higher price, but not true! I'm thirlled with what we have. read more

My son has joined 3 years ago and what he had takrn away from these classes is invaluable! First, he became comfortable being away from me and communicating with teachers and interracting with kids ( taking turns, group ecercise). He also became increadibly flexible an d his clumziness went away. The disipline here is great! They don't let kids get loose. The price is awesome! I definitely recommend for parents.
