They specialize in classical ballet and it is probably the best ballet school in Sacramento. Very professional and friendly atmosphere. The teachers are truly experienced and knowledgeable , with great dancing backgrounds. Last year my daughter was able to participate in the annual The Nutcracker production and I have to say I was amazed with the level of the show. The amount of work put in with preparing the dancers and the behind the scene came together to create a stunning production that I'm glad my daughter was apart of. Also what I thought is speaks a lot about the quality of teaching is that some of the students of this studio actually pursued dance career after graduation and dance now with ballet companies in the country. They came back during the winter holidays and participated in the Nutcracker production , which was very inspiring for the younger dancers. So I am giving the studio 5 stars all across the board, I wish we would have joined them much earlier!

Bella and Paola set up the whole place, had games and activities planned for the kids, served the food and cleaned up everything! Their energy was warm and inviting - all kids had a great time, and that was surly because of this incredible team! I should also note the place is clean and you have the venue to yourself. They are about $15 per class, but we also purchased a 10 class pack which makes them only $10 a class which is really well worth it. It was just such a fun time. They even brought in drums and we got to dance with people playing the drums. That was such a fun experience and it felt like a dance party which I loved. Parking is really easy, it's right up front and there's tons of parking. The location is very easy to see as well. The instruction was pretty great and everyone was super friendly. I do wish the instructor slowed down a little bit more and was more vocal about where you're shifting your weights and that sort of thing with the body mechanics but she was so so fun, and everybody was so welcoming and friendly. The dance was quite the workout, be ready to sweat! The instructors are very passionate about what they're doing and that really shows. All in all really great experience and I bought the 10 class pack so I will be back!

She doesn't really break down the moves for you, you just need to jump in and try. But expect high energy, professional level choreography, and hip-shakin' music. I love the diversity of students, including a range of ages and body types. There is no shame in this room! And the class is only $5!!! i don't live in Sacramento, but whenever I visit Sacramento, I make sure to attend a class. LOVE V!!

She got to my daughter (the only brown child) who was new and just there for a week. She crunches down in my child's face & in front of everyone says with a frown, "you need to smile more! " and walks off. No words of encouragement at all that she gave to all the other girls. My daughter dropped her chin so sad & discouraged& my heart sunk! Countless other things happened while we were there including April always coming to me with sarcasm saying, "God! You're so pretty. I just hate you". The new owner has done an incredible job upholding the legacy of KM, and has worked through the growing pains of being the new owner gracefully. We are constantly telling friends to try this studio, and I encourage anyone with kids interested in dance to give it a try! Honestly, the recent 1 star reviews seem to be fake, or from cowardly parents or former staff who don't like the new policies. It's a shame they feel the need to selfishly try to ruin the reputation of a small business-- just because it didn't work for one person, doesn't mean there aren't others there who are thriving.

i've taken two beginner pole classes here and had good experiences both times with olivia and laura…read more(i believe laura is the owner). i'd say i'm high beginner and they met me (and others) where we were at. the combos were challenging for me but that's what i want in a class. if you're a beginner beginner the classes will still be good too, like i said, they'll meet you where you're at. another bonus is that they have level 1.5 classes instead of just throwing you into level 2. this studio and rise in roseville/sac are the only studios in the area that offer 1.5. now for the cons and why i didn't give it 5 stars 1. location. it's in an industrial area and the parking lot is pretty small with limited spaces. the first time i went i had to park on the street but i didn't have that experience the second time. i guess it depends on if more than one class is going on at the time. 2. i think this studio specializes more in lyra, hammock, and silks rather than just pole. the areas for the aerials are bigger (and nice, i plan on taking classes of that too). the pole area is very small and the poles are close together. i'm afraid to accidentally kick the person next to me. there's also no mirrors. they have decently tall poles too! rise in roseville has short poles (same with vertical fitness) and monarch in folsom and the rise in sac also have tall poles if that's what you're looking for. and that's about the only cons :) oh yeah, they have super cute parking lot cats too that the owner feeds and put little houses for. they also offer regular dance classes so this place seems to be well rounded. everyone seems to have already known eachother but they were welcoming of me
