I contacted several local plumbing companies to quote the project, knowing it was going to be expensive. I received quotes from folks with different ideas ranging from around $5k for replacement to over $35k to excavate under the house and replace the old one. Richard was on the lower end of that range and I could tell he'd been in business for a long time and knew what he was talking about, so that's who I went with. I couldn't be happier given the circumstances. They rigged it up where it would work the next day until they could complete the project. They did a fantastic job. From the trenching to the plumbing and even the landscaping afterwards turned out better than I expected. These are good folks doing good work at a fair price. That's who I'll be calling from now on and I definitely recommend them.

I had asked about a veteran discount to try and get the higher than expected price down a bit. He said he had already given me a discount, so he couldn't do that as well. Wasn't sure what the discount was, but if they do have a veterans discount it's probably better than the ~6% savings from the one he gave me. Work quality (as far as I can tell) was good, but price is extremely high considering the time and parts required. Won't be my first choice next time we have an issue.

Then, after a week of calling , the manager begrudgingly sends two apprentices? who install a very precarious Dr.Suess apparatus to route gas line away from vent ..The apprentices /young men installed while mostly on the phone with Dr. Suess?..Meanwhile, stating "We are not sure if we will have to charge you" After we moved the dryer vent (we paid our contractor because we no longer had faith that this company would do it properly)it was reinstalled in an acceptable manner. I waited to review because this company gave the vibes that they would retaliate by some bogus charges . C. Woods technician also set out water heater on continuous VS demand which continually heats the water instead of when on demand-which depletes your gas much faster. There was no conversation about this. I found this company reckless and indifferent to this project , probaly because we are not in an affluent neighborhood and I believe they have some corporate accounts. Luckily, I was able to find the names and emails of the general managers of this company in case they try to send a delayed bill. Also, I was able to schedule a two hour window for them to come. They did not show up in that two hour window and when they were contacted about that, there was a note that dispatch had changed the window without telling us. Technician arrived 30 minutes outside of window. He then attempted to charge $350 for the inspection. He claimed the $80 was just for a service fee. Dispatch either lied or omitted the truth. He then proceeded to do very little if anything other than take the $80. Horrible company. I will not use again.

He replaced the old hardware with new. The flush mechanism has functioned perfectly since. I have not had professional plumber service in a few years so the charge was more than I expected. Appointment window was from 11-3 and I called at 2:45 to see if they were still coming. Person who answered the phone sounded like they just woke up and said they'd call the technician to see if they'd still be able to make it. No call back about anything. Just called my home warranty company to tell them to take JSP off their list because of all the bad reviews I've seen. Home warranty tried to call them and they didn't answer either.
