Bartender with a bun is bad. Overcharges - $14 for a whiskey coke in Tupelo? Get real! Only reason I was ordering that is because they would not make me an old fashioned because "there is too many people here." Too busy to make a drink from your drink menu? Really? Literally boggles my mind to think about. Aside from that, the people working clearly didn't want anyone in there. Bad attitudes and bad service. Save your money!! We've been here for multiple times for evenings out, birthdays, and other events with all positive experiences. The food is good and interesting for what Tupelo has to offer. The drinks are decent with the latest improvement being the glassware that was recently plastic. While the hosts can often be lackluster, the servers often go above and beyond. It's a cute spot with a unique interior. Definitely recommend. read more

I stayed at the Hotel Tupelo and had dinner here one evening. The place was not too busy and I was able to get a lovely table outside on the patio so I could people watch. There was a great choice of beer and I had a tasty crab cake sandwich. All in all a relaxing evening and I would definitely dine here again. This restaurant does have breakfast (for a fee) for folks who stay at the hotel, but I did not participate in that. When I looked around in the AM it was very dead and no visible staff, but a pump coffee bar for $3+ a cup. read more

Set in the sparkling new Hotel Tupelo, this restaurant is fun and upbeat with a really good food sense. For those of us who visit Tupelo regularly, it is a welcome addition and long past overdue. Excellent charcuterie board, featuring Benton's and regional cheeses. Strong cocktail (and mocktail) program...love an Amaro-focused cocktail. I had a great version of New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp and my dining companion did the simple fish which had a lot of great flavors at work. We are well past the lemon-pepper tyranny of Tupelo dining of yesteryear. Also, I really want to try the Hotel Tupelo now. read more

We came for my husband's 50th birthday and had an amazing experience. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the filet. Both dishes were very flavorful. The steak was tender and the vegetables were perfectly done with the salsa verde on the side. The shrimp and grits were spicy but not over the top. We had the bread pudding and it was out of this world. I am not a dessert person and I could not stop eating! The atmosphere and service were top notch. Service: Good Food: Hummus not as good as I thought it would be, vegetables were really well done and fried. I am not sure if that was how it was supposed to come out. The pita was warm and tasty. I had the broccoli & cheese soup as well. I would recommend trying if it is the soup of the day. Most definitely would recommend the memory orchard cheesecake to try for dessert. I've been to the bar a few times as I frequent Hotel Tupelo for business and one of the bartenders suggested me to a good barber in the area. Another time when I was having a rough night, the same bartender gave me a free soft drink as well. Apparently it's the spot to be at when in Tupelo. read more

This was my first visit to Jobos. The atmosphere was very nice. There is a huge bar and, I would guess, maybe 15 tables for four inside, and approximately 10 tables for four outside. Jobos is located inside the new Boutique Hotel Tupelo, in the Fairpark District of Tupelo. The menu is very limited and fairly expensive. I had the "Shrimp Basket" which was served on paper inside a plastic basket. There were 4 nice size grilled shrimp on a skewer along with a large order of shoestring fried potatoes. While the shrimp were good, almost everything was too spicy to eat. The fries almost tasted like the top came off the salt shaker and poured out all over the food. The four shrimp and shoestring fries was $24.00. My wife had a "Butter Burger" which also included the same shoestring potatoes for $18.00. Also, very spicy. The burger included two meat patty's and a lot of other garnish. We both ordered a specialty drink from the bar; $10.00 and $12.00 respectively. My main good impression was the staff. Our waitress was Victoria, who took very good care of us. She was very friendly and personable. Many other staff members stopped by our table to ask if everything was ok or if we needed something. The restaurant was fairly busy when we got there, around 6:00 PM and still busy when we left at around 7:30. We used the Yelp reservations as suggested on www.jobotupelo.com. Great atmosphere, stunning decor and wonderful servers! We have been wanting to try Jobos and finally made that happen with an early dinner. I had the ginger scallion noodle dish which was out of this world delicious - ramen with shrimp, pork belly & pickled veggies. I would have it again today! My spouse enjoyed his Santa Cruz steak dish immensely. We ended the meal with a great blackberry cheesecake - locally made! Excellent! I should also add we had specialty cocktails that we can't wait to sample again - the lavender gin fizz and the bourbon smash - so good. This restaurant is a great add to Tupelo's food scene!
