1. My friend ordered the Lasagna. It was cheese maybe a few noodles, sauce and cheese. No layers and the dish was barely half full. 2. Ordered the grilled chicken salad half. hello jocko's. or should i say bummo's. firstly, we were waiting outside of this restaurant for AN HOUR... just for takeout... we had to come up with games to cure our boredom and distract ourselves from the relentless hunger. we ended up driving back to our hotel and then driving back when the food was ready. when we came back to the hotel we realized only half of the order was actually there. we have people who haven't eaten for 8 hours in our party... it is not a pretty sight. let's just say, feelings have not been spared. Saturday we visited Jocko's for the first time. My wife and I were immediately impressed with the interior and were promptly seated. We had checked the online menu and had planned on getting the salad bar, however after checking it out that was a definite no; not for 11.99 a person. No pastas, just salad fixings and soup. So we went to our second choices. For me a tale of an Italian type restaurant is their spaghetti and my wife being from Chicago land it is Italian beef. Spaghetti with meat sauce, sorry to say had zero zing to it. Almost tasteless, made me wish Fazoli's was back in town, the breadsticks were very good though. Italian beef as my wife said it was a beef sandwich with cheese little to no spice, however her fried chips were good. Come on 3$ for a sweet tea and 3$ for a pepsi? Now the reason for a 3 instead of a 2. We got a pizza to go. Jocko's special new york crust. It was good but not good enough to get us back. Disappointing is what I will say. read more

We visited Jocko's with 20 people while in town for a family reunion. The food was good and the service was good. Good doesn't mean great. Good doesn't mean bad. It means... good. First time through Danville, considering the fact that we were "Hangry"....waiting for ten minutes to take our drink order and they weren't completely slammed; sorta rubbed us the wrong way. I can slide them a small break ONLY because most of the staff were young kids....but our seating arrangements were horrible! There were plenty of booths open and the hostess still felt inclined to sit us in a cramped booth right behind a table full of screaming children!!!! So I had to get up and ask to be moved. Then we had a booth right in a walkway. The place had a busy salad bar and it felt like an MCL or a Mess hall due to people wandering around the whole time with plates of food which was being spilt everywhere filling the floors with slippery ranch and greasy plates. The marinara was very tasty as we ordered Five Cheese Tortallini and a Large Pizza featuring their New York Style crust. There was too much crust so I would recommend the thin crust. It tasted like Chef Boradee. We also ordered Alfredo sauce to dip in and it wasn't very good at all, very bland. Service was sub par, and I took home most of the pizza. I absolutely love the service my family and I get every time. The waitresses are very attentive and nice. The food is okay. It's nothing special, but it's fine for an occasional lunch or dinner. When catching up with my work bestie, Jockos is a must. This was our favorite lunch stop. The salad and soup bar is fabulous. It is all you can eat for $6.99. During lunch, the price includes your drink. They have a different soup each day. They are all quite tasty. They also have oreo fluff on the bar which is a very yummy dessert. I have tried the chicken fingers and pizza off the menu and they both are very good. Definitely a great spot for lunch or dinner. Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. The staff here are always very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is casual and very family friendly. There are two trains that run the upper perimeter of the dining room for the kiddos. I believe the cost is 50 cents to run the trains. Well worth it for how long they run and the kiddos always enjoy it. read more

We have been going to the Pizza Inn AKA Jackos. Since I was a child in the early 80s. Sometimes, the food is hit or miss. They don't have a habit of putting enough sauce on the pizza. Don't ask for extra because they don't understand the trem just a little more than normal don't soak it. The Italian beef was good. All the restaurants in town used to be much more selective when hiring staff. It's way to bad they can't be anymore. Some of the waitresses are ok looking but some are just missing teeth or black tooth. Very ugly. It's too bad that's allowed to be in public. So sad scum have to be around when a nice family eats. My family and I have eaten there a few times ans have enjoyed the food a bit pricey on some stuff but enjoy the salad bar. We stopped in on Friday 3/19/21 we were seated promptly and waited on by Shania and once we placed our order and got our drinks she never came back to the table she kept serving the other tables and especially the table by us with large group of women. I ran out of my drink and kept making it known I would like a refill but she kept looking over at our table as she walked by but wouldn't stop the dishes were stacked up on our table and needed to be taken away but she never came to get them, the manager ended up busting the table. We wanted to order dessert but never came back to ask, once she dropped off the ticket our service was done I guess it's true what they said once you get your ticket there done waiting on you, we were on our first trip to the salad bar when she dropped off the ticket so that right there makes you feel as if they want you to leave. read more

Of the 3 or 4 places we went in Danville, this was the best. Great for kids, they have an overhead train track that the kids loved. They also loved the Penne with Alfredo sauce and garlic bread. The adults loved the pizza and spinach and artichoke dip. The pizza was good even for our snobby Chicago pizza standards. We will revisit Jocko's on our next trip to Danville, IL. read more

I enjoy eating at Jakos when come to town. However, I have some concerns regarding staying safe while dining. I was waited on by Beth P. With the current pandemic, she had on a mask but kept pulling it down, exposing her mouth and nose while speaking with us. What's the point of having a mask on if you are going to expose your nose and mouth while speaking. I looked around to see if her colleagues were doing the same, no they weren't.
