Had the Vegan fajitas and they were great. Big pile of broccoli, carrots, onion, cauliflower and peppers. The service was good.

Def the food was wonderful. Everything was clean especially the bathrooms. The menu had everything on it. But the best part of our first time visit was our server. We had a table of 7, and he did not disappoint. I only wrote this review to show our appreciation for him. I hope his name is correct on this receipt.

La Potosina (or "the Pot") is a good option for dine-in Mexican good for those that come hungry. The portion sizes are usually very generous and include chips and salsa. Went here for lunch today with a group of 3 and our overall experience was pretty average. The table chips were fairly cold and stale and were never refilled. The salsa was pretty damn good, bulky with a hint of spiciness. One of us ordered the quesadilla rellena, which was a cheese quesadilla stuffed with vegetables. Unfortunately he did not detect much (if any) cheese and there was a shrimp on the end of the quesadilla. Now he has no issues with seafood, but there are obviously other people that do, and furthermore it makes me question their kitchen hygiene. Another of us ordered the burrito tapatio and thought it was decent. It was more of a giant taco and she was under the impression it would be a burrito (given the name). I ordered the chilaquiles per the suggestion of our server. I told him that I wanted something with guac and he told me he would incorporate some guac into the dish. This did not happen. However I did enjoy the meal regardless. The chicken was very tender and mixed well with the sauce and sides. Still didn't love the empty gesture. Our waiter was overall friendly and the food came fairly quickly. The tables were comfortable to sit in but were very close to each other, making it challenging to walk around, although they can clearly accommodate a lot of people.

I was in Danville and this was one of the few places that still offered dine in, so I stopped there for lunch. They serve Mexican food. I ordered the pork torte because it's one of my favorites and I always like to try it first at any restaurant. There was also a steak option, that I will order if I am ever out there again. The servers were efficient and friendly. They all observed safety protocols, such as masks and gloves. The booths are kind of isolated. Of course, they serve me chips salsa straight off. I also ordered a strawberry margarita which was huge. I had so much brain freeze by the time I was finished with it. The pork was tender and easy to chew. The restaurant was clean. It looked like they were expanding it because there was construction going on outside. The bill was pretty fair for a dine-in restaurant. The torta was served on a sort of subway style bread which I have never seen before. There's a specific type of bread used for tortas and it's not usually subway bread. Still it was pretty tasty and very generous. The liquor per usual kind of expensive, but the food was pretty competitively priced for a dine-in restaurant. The parking was convenient, although it looks like their lot could use a little mending.

It was brimming with fresh garlic, basil and capers. It was beautifully presented with a garnish of marinated basil leaves, tomato, green pepper and onion. We ordered a second basket of their delightful dinner rolls, just to continue enjoying the sauce. As great as the dipping sauce was, their Minestrone soup was one of the best of all that I have had the pleasure of enjoying. The pasta was comprised of penne as well as tortellini, the vegetables were likewise adventurous : artichoke hearts, zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes (of course), onions, and capers (see the photo). The stock was rich and flavorful, accented by pieces of lemon , ever so slightly reminiscent of one of my favorite Greek soups, Avgolemono; yet definitely replete with the classic Italian mystique that is Minestrone. The Veal Parmigiana was awesome and their Limoncello Mascarpone was a good rendition of the classic Italian dessert. Our server was the best, and handsome to boot!!

While the service was great the food was not. The bread basket was good but the actual meal was disappointing. It looked like Tyson chicken patties and Ragu were used for the chicken parm and the stuffed mushrooms lacked stuffing. The hot coffee was cold! For being a place when it was the Burgundy Room and Bar that was top noch what it is now is sadly not worth it. Even the decor is tacky at best. It's fine to change things, that happens with time but this? This is a whole lotta nope. Really sad. I'd hoped for better. You are better off getting a loaf of French bread and chef Boyardee to be honest and staying home. You'll save a buncha money too as it is way over priced for what it is. I only am giving 2 stars because the service was good and the rolls were good otherwise I would leave just 1. If you do go I recommend alka seltzer when you get home. I had to stop at Casey's for some.

We were taken to a booth and the seats and table were wet from the quick wipe it had just been given. It wasn't just wet, there were also lots of crumbs that had been left behind. As I looked around, I noticed that the floors were littered with trash and food also. Straw wrappers, napkins and bits of food were present under each and every table. I understand that during a busy rush, the staff probably can't take the time to sweep, but even after the rush nobody bothered to address it. There was a gentleman bussing tables who stayed "on patrol", though. He circled the dining room at regular intervals and made sure that dishes were cleared in a timely manner. I see you, sir! We were greeted right away and our drink orders were taken. That young lady was very kind and upbeat, which was quite welcoming. When she returned with our beverages, she offered to take our orders, but we weren't ready. And just like that, she ditched us! J/K, but kind of for real. A different waitress appeared and took over from there. She was efficient and took good care of us, but in a way, she wasn't as warm. She was no-nonsense and straight to the point. Our food was decent. My husband had The Special, which is a basic breakfast plate (eggs, French toast and bacon), I had the turkey club with fries, and my in-laws both had phily steak sandwiches with fries. The food didn't come out super fast, but that gave us time to settle-in and not feel rushed. It was quite nice and a change from what my husband and I are accustomed to where we live. We had a leisurely meal and caught up with old friends who wandered in and out during our meal. That was another clear sign that this place is a local favorite.

I actually think some of the items here are pretty good, but comparatively speaking, I've certainly had much better. Firehouse is definitely different than what you normally find in Danville. It takes a step away from the Midwestern fare and takes me a bit closer to my personal comfort spot, Southern cooking. When I see fried catfish on the menu, my eyes make a beeline to it. This food can satisfy my cravings until I get home, but would never replace it fully. First time I visited, I got their fried catfish and shrimp combo with fries. Firehouse definitely gets an A+ on their seasoning, they season everything up heavily and more! The catfish was definitely overdone and wasn't flakey. The shrimp was pretty subpar in my opinion, really rubbery and not very fun to eat. It was just greasy and messy to eat. The french fries here are superb though. I came back and was in the mood for their gyro. They really loaded that sandwich up, I would say they made it too big for its own good. Don't get me wrong, I love extra food, but the extra food caused the sandwich to collapse on itself. I ended up eating the items individually, rather than all together. And I am aware that this is not a specialty Arabic/Greek restaurant, but the quality of the gyro meat was just fine, nothing too crazy. I really want to like this place more than I have so far. The employees here are super nice and the menu is just so appealing and is a nice change in pace to the diner style menus. Having that variety instantly makes it a place worthy of a revisit in my eyes!

I would've liked to get a salad, but they only had iceberg lettuce and due to it's lack of nutritional value I thought that to be a waste of space in my stomach. The only other veggie options I saw were overcooked green beans (limp and watery) and broccoli chicken or pepper chicken. All veggies come sauced and with chicken, apparently! What I did get onto my plate was hit or miss. The trend seemed to be that the Asian options were the best. The general tso's, sweet n' sour and teriyaki chicken were good. The teriyaki had a few dry pieces, but I think they just weren't that fresh. The same with the fried shrimp. It was really hard and tasted old. The egg roll was mushy and disappointing, though. The macaroni and cheese was disgusting. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted instant, but I have a soft spot for instant potatoes! A little salt and pepper and they were just fine. I had two helpings. I managed to find some plain ole steamed cauliflower that I paired with the clarified butter meant for the crab legs that were on special for Father's Day. The staff were nice and kept our plates cleared, but a refill of my soda was hard to come by. They do offer a 10% discount for seniors over the age of 60, which is nice.
