I pretty much consider it pure luck that I met Jodi at a bridal fair because my then fiancé and I were really struggling to find a photographer we liked. My now husband and I both work in film so we were very particular about style, framing and coloring and Jodi's work really stuck out to us.  And we are so glad we booked with her! After meeting in person, we felt that we really vibed with her and she put our concerns at ease. As I mentioned before, we both work BEHIND the scenes of movies and don't feel very comfortable in front of the camera. But during the engagement shoot, Jodi basically helped us forget that the camera was even there. It felt so natural- like we were just there with a friend instead of a photographer.  And the wedding was the same way. Jodi and the second photographer were punctual and very professional! She delivered absolutely stunning photos and paid special attention to all the moments and photos I told her would be important to me. Jodi was absolutely AMAZING! Her work is stunning and she is very professional, but also personable and super fun! One of my bridesmaids knew of Jodi, but when we met her at a bridal show, we instantly connected and I knew she had to be my photographer! I even told her my now husband was NOT photogenic and she definitely made him look like he was! The engagement session helped so much as it let us get a feel for how to work with her and what worked - and what didn't work - for us as a couple. I couldn't have asked for anything more the day of the wedding. Jodi made sure I got every picture I wanted - I even made her and all of my bridesmaids walk down to the beach and take pictures there before we went to our ceremony site! She even taught us how to jump for a good picture! I also put her through the pain of capturing around 50 different family photos, but she rolled with the punches and we still had time for amazing bride & groom photos before the sun went down. It has taken me time to write this review, as I'm still very disappointed with something that really has no way to be fixed. I was married on 4/1/17 in Oak Glen. Going off recommendation of a friend that used Jodi, I looked up her website and was very pleased with her work. We had our engagement photos done with Jodi 7/27/16 and we were happy with the photos. Our wedding photos were another story.. A few days before wedding I was asked to send list of key pictures I wanted taken, I sent the list that day and a few days later was asked for same list. I sent list again and then printed a hard copy for day of the wedding. Day of the wedding she showed up and was given list but never followed them. I ended up with pictures with only 2 of my 8 bridesmaids. No pictures of groom with groomsman. A lot of random action shots and hardly any of the photos from my requested list. Jodi disappeared during my reception to make a "video" that was not asked for. When she went to send the video to me the next day, it mysteriously did not work. So I ended up missing out on photos being taken and no video. I was also promised a free canvas print for paying for my package early months before my wedding, I never received canvas. Just thinking about the situation still makes me so upset since it's a day I'll never get to capture again. read more

Jodi is amazing!! To start, our engagement shoot pictures were perfect and she helped my Fiance (at the time) so comfortable in front of the camera when he hates pictures. We were just married on New Years Eve in Silverado Canyon, CA, at a beautiful venue called "Rancho Las Lomas". We chose Jodi because of her stunning reputation and the amazing things she does with natural light. During our engagement shoot, we simply had a blast, she had so many fun poses and made us feel very natural and special. She not only is just an amazing person but her work is top tier. Jodi photographed our wedding about 4 months ago. We had our wedding in West Covina, and traveling there was not a problem for her. She also took our engagement photos at Laguna Beach. Again, no issue traveling to the location that we picked. About 2 months before the day of the wedding, I sent Jodi an email with a timeline of events for the wedding and reception. I had specific times listed, such as "pictures with Bride and Bridesmaids." I've never been married before and this was new to me, but Jodi was very gracious to suggested some changes that would work best for both what we wanted, and for the convenience of our guests. This was very helpful, as we had planned the wedding on our own without help from a wedding planner. We hired an additional photographer (through one of the packages that Jodi offered) and were happy with the photos that he took as well. I felt that the price for the package that we received was very competitive with other photographers in the area. It took about 2-3 months to get the photos back, but I'm not expert in how long wedding photos typically take to get back - like I said, I've never been married before. I asked some of my friends, and they said they received theirs (from other photographers) anywhere from 2-4 months after the wedding, so no issue there. When we did receive the photos, I figured out why it took as long as it did - there were nearly 2,000 edited photos! There was also a video slideshow that I did not expect - it's fantastic. Overall, Jodi was a great help for us on our wedding day. She replies promptly to every email that I have sent, and showed up on time to the locations that we had selected. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the area, but if I have another event in Southern California that needs a photographer, I will definitely try to hire Jodi again. read more

Grateful, happy, thrilled, comfortable, impressed... just a few words to describe how we feel about our experience w/ Jodi! I was the opposite of a bridezilla and was slightly unorganized when it came to my wedding day. Jodi stepped right in and let me know it would all go super smooth - she even created my timeline!! When I tried to reschedule she would not respond to the dates that I provided. This caused us to miss the opportunity for pictures with family that had flown out from back east. Wow! 6 stars if they went that high. We just got our photos yesterday from our wedding. Jodi hit the ball out of the park. HUNDREDS of shots from the wedding, the reception and the beach/nature in-between (with the wedding party.) Jodi made sure to capture all of the "stock" shots that you need at a wedding, but then she also went above and beyond to capture some truly cool (artsy) shots. She was patient, but also "pushed" just the right amount to keep our energy up and keep us in the moment.
