I stopped here a few hours before leaving Chicago. I wanted something healthy and quick as I was feeling a little under the weather from how old it was!!! -2 degrees! I ordered me a sandwich and a "Feel Good" juice which includes Carrot, Turmeric, Ginger, Lemon, Apple, Olive Oil. Super yummy and very delicious. The female at the register was new and still learning the system so I was very patient with her as she was patient with me trying to figure what I'd like to order. She mentioned a few of the popular drinks and I ended up choosing the "feel good". She did make my drink and let me tell you she did not disappoint! She did make a bit extra and offered to pour the remaining juice in a different cup which I thought was very nice of her. This is a mellow, laid back juice bar where once can simply study or simply people watch like I did. I ended up sitting here solo for about 30 - 40 minutes people watching lol! Ive been wanting to try this place since it when viral so I had to stop while in chicago. Once I walked in I was greeted, also they gave amazing recommendations. I ordered the spicy tunacado alongside the iron man juice. Everything tasted great however it was freezing in there. I know its a juice bar but something about an establishment being cold in the winter makes it hard to think while eating. I would definitely turn the heat up a bit. read more

Trendy spot, but pricey for what you get. Joe & The Juice is a decent coffee and juice spot in the area, but I'm not sure it justifies the steep prices. Their juices and shakes which run between $12-$16, are fine, refreshing but not particularly standout. The power shake I got was good though I did enjoy it but again just a little pricey almost 15 dollars for a shake. I also did try the viral Tunacado sandwich and it was just okay, not anything mind-blowing. At $12 for a relatively small sandwich, it felt a bit overpriced. The location is convenient and has a nice vibe, but overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Worth a try if you're curious and want to try it, but not a must-visit in my book. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by Joe and the Juice on a Saturday morning and ordered a Tunacado Sandwich, Joe's Club Sandwich, and an Iced Americano. We were hoping to get the sandwiches in the pink boxes, but it was still packed nicely! The Tunacado had tuna, avocado, tomato, and vegan pesto packed inside of light bread. The Joe's club had chicken, avocado, tomato, and vegan pesto with light bread as well. The Joe's club was a little dry but still very solid. Personally, I enjoyed the Tunacado a lot more. We ordered an Iced Americano on top as well and it was super refreshing. Joes is not the typical study spot, but it's perfect for a quick pick me up! They also got a restroom in the back for convenience. Overall the vibes of the place is great and we'll be back to get another Tunacado Sandwich! read more

I got lured into trying Joe & the Juice from one of their social media ads promising a free sandwich for signing up for the app. Who could resist?! 3 visits later and I'm a J&TJ sandwich stan now! I love their "Joe's Classic" bread; it's soo lightweight and still really tasty- perfect for lunch when ya don't wanna be over-full. There are only a few sandwich options and they're all made up of mostly the same ingredients - mozz, tomato, avo and your protein of choice. I've gotten the Tunacado and the Serrano and both are so good- nicely oiled & seasoned :) I've only had a juice here once, and have nothing extraordinary to report- it was just healthy and satisfying. I'll prolly stick mostly to sandwiches here but def lovin' them enough to keep coming back. read more

However, it was disappointing and not worth the $13, as you can see in the photo they only put one very thin slice of Serano ham in the entire sandwich. Who does that? I first met Joe a year ago in Iceland and fell in love. Juice drinks are fresh tasting, especially the Joe's AMG...apple, mint, ginger. Coffee drinks are also good, smooth tasting, and include unusual choices like the ginger latte...not ginger syrup but a good latte with a shot of fresh squeezed ginger. "Handmeals"... sandwiches to you and me...are tasty, flavorful, and served on this cool rye flatbread. I get the Joe's Club and have them add jalapenos. Joe's has a rep for hiring helpful, attractive baristas and counter staff. One of the guys here was my barista a month or so before at their NYC Bryant Park location and he's a great representative for Joe's. Plenty of tables though most are quite low for my 6'4" frame. Feels more like a club than a coffee joint but that's part of the appeal here. read more

I got the 12 oz Energizer which is ginger, grapefruit, and apple. It is $7.00. 12 oz isn't really enough if you really want something worthwhile for the dollar. They have paper straws. I thought it was good. It is all natural so it settles. You have to mix it constantly or drink it all up right away. You can taste all the ingredients and they blend well. It's called the energizer and an hour later, I got so sleepy. I don't know if the energizer had anything to do with that haha. The guys that were working were really friendly and welcoming. I am being extremely generous by giving two stars despite all the inconveniences I experienced. I used to live in NY and I loved Joe & the Juice. I was excited to find them in Chicago when I moved here. Both times I had issues here were regarding the pickup. I really like their brownies, so I ordered them for pick up twice. The first time I ordered them, I went to the cafe 20 min after I placed the order- since it was still not appearing in the app as ready. I went to the cafe and learned that the employees there never even realized that my order came through even though on the app it said the restaurant has confirmed and started preparing my order. The cafe was quiet empty so I really don't know why they were not paying attention. My second experience was even worse. On 9/27 at 5:49, I placed the order for pickup via UberEats. I got to the cafe within 10 min. The door was locked- even though the app was still saying that the restaurant has accepted my ordered and is preparing it. Through the glass door, I did not see anyone preparing my order. There was an employee inside so I knocked on the door and stood outside for over 5 min. I was completely unnoticed and my order was still not prepared. I know that these brownies are already prepared and all they need to do is place them in a box. I then cancelled my order, realizing that there is no hope for me to get the order. I soon let UberEats know about the issue and I kept getting an automatic reply from them saying they will not give me a refund because I cancelled when the restaurant has already started preparing my order-- which is a complete false... read more

Joe & The Juice recently entered the Chicago market and I finally got to try a location nearby. The spot was everything that is desirable these days: a health conscious, sleek, hip, modern space that serves coffee and fresh juice. If I had to describe it, it's as if Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and the W Hotel chain had a baby, you'd have Joe & The Juice. You won't find your usual coffeehouse music/vibe here. As for the coffee, it was a solid iced latte. Since Joe & The Juice is a Danish company, you'll find the usual European coffee menu offerings. No fancy PSLs here and that's okay with me. I didn't get a chance to try the juice, but my wife liked it so much she went back the next day. I look forward to trying the juice on my next visit and am happy to welcome Joe & The Juice to the neighborhood! read more

Made a quick stop to quench my thirst! Walked in to a very hip and modern place. Walls were filled with interesting pictures. I decided on the Hell of a Nerve, it was quite pricey especially for that size. The small costed me $7.72 and I get that typically juices are expensive but geez the price for that size is a little steep. It was a little sweet but definitely quenched my thirst, but of course that was gone in about 3 sips. Chairs are a bit hard and small tables. Definitely not a place to study, but there is WiFi. However I do have to say that the employers were very nice and walked us through the menu. They also shared recommendations and were very patient! First time at this location and customer service is a ZERO. One side of the counter is for App pick ups and then there's the center of the counter where the menu is directly above and plastered on the wall behind. There was one person making the drinks and I barely noticed the cashier who let me stand waiting to give my order, granted in the wrong spot, but she didn't try to get my attention. she just stood there, as I stood there facing the opposite direction, unknowingly. The drink preparer was the one who kindly told me where to order. it shouldn't be this hard! The cashier was rude, curt and cold. Asked for a name for the order. I went to wait, and waited and waited for my order or name to be called. I don't know who the drinks are for and I'm not just going to grab something off the counter. I asked and preparer needed to double check. I just said it would be nice if you would call out the order. WHY WAS IT SO DIFFICULT?! To say, "hi, order this way!" and "Blue Majik!" when the order was up? WHY? I've slowly started coming back to the office, but I will not be coming back here. Oh and the smoothie was mediocre. Had an amazing sandwich last time I was there. I'm at work and my boyfriend asked if I wanted anything for lunch, I immediately thought of their chicken sandwich with avocado. He went to pick it up for me, dropped it off at my job, I was so hungry I instantly took it out of the bag when I got to my desk to eat it, and guess what I see? Burnt bread, brown avocado and sad sad slices of tomato. I can't believe this person felt okay serving this. My boyfriend of course had left by the time I got to my desk and what am I suppose to do now? Go back and ask for another? I can't. I'm at work. So now it's in the garbage and I'm still hungry. I've been here 5-6 times - never get greeted, he rolls his eyes if you ask questions about the menu, called my question "stupid" and then made a rude comment as I was leaving.
