Got a cappuccino here and it was a bottle on the bitter side so took some getting used to but it grew on me towards the end. Ironically my friend said her drink was too sweet.

Intelligentsia has such a vibrant, community atmosphere. The baristas are kind and very helpful when it comes to make a decision about their menu. We got the miso maple latte and the strawberry cold foam matcha. Both drinks were good I just wish the flavors were a little stronger. I wish there was more miso maple and I wish there was more of a stronger matcha presence. There is only street parking which is difficult since it is located in a busy area. It is a nice place to get some work done if you can find a spot and they do have wifi and outlets at wall/ bar tables.

Stopped by this coffee shop since it was nearby our hotel and glad we did. The inside had nice coffee shop vibes but what made it for us was the sesame latte. It had a nice strong sesame flavor and the cold foam was addicting. If you're in the area and like black sesame def stop by!

This place had good coffee and they also do a lot of seasonal drinks, so it's good to revisit and try new drinks. The service was nice and quick. The ambiance was spacious too, you could work from here.

Cold coffee. Sounds of the city. A light breeze. Yay!

Trivia: The original location of Intelligentsia is in Chicago, but isn't this location. Where is the original? Knew the coffee, but never been to one of their locations. Came on a Tuesday morning which is "two dollar off bags of coffee" day. Win! Solid cold brew coffee. Service was okay. I asked some questions about pour overs and received one word answers. Outside searing area was a cool spot to hear and see city life. Some flower planters provided a nice ambiance. Definitely worth the jaunt from River Walk for a great cup of coffee.

It was a nice coffee spot in downtown Chicago. It was close to the Bean, when we went in, it was quite busy. Service was quite fast, nice staff. Coffee tasted great.

A bit overpriced but not too bad. The location is convenient but the seatings weren't the comfiest.

Intelligentsia is a legend for 3rd wave coffee. I hadn't been to this location before, but it was bustling for a 3pm coffee break. Even with about 10 people in line, it moved fast. I ordered a Cold Coffee (not Cold Brew) and a Black Cat Fizz. (Black Cat Espresso, tonic water, and orange bitters.) Both were great. They also have $2 off bagged coffee on Tuesdays!

You already know - it's Intelligentsia! Top-tier coffee every time. I grabbed an Americano and it was perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth. Quick service, great energy, and it's super close to Millennium Park. Easy win for any coffee lover

One of the many amazing coffee shops in Chicago. Can't miss with this location, great classic options & speciality coffees.

I got the avena latte (winter time in Chicago calls for hot coffee hehe) and it was really good! The place was PACKED but I think they do the best they can to keep up with a weekend crowd. Def recommend if you're in the area :)

Great cafe near Millennium Park! Easy to drop by and there's a good amount of seating available. I always get the Avena latte (the cayenne is a nice surprise); I also enjoyed my friend's matcha. The coffee is on the expensive side for its size. The workers are nice and friendly, would like to try their pastry selection next time.

Quick, easy, and good coffee. I tried the avena latte with the cayenne kick and was pleasantly surprised - just the right amount of spice if you're into that. Definitely impressed and would grab it again!

The space itself is stunning with multiple floors, beautiful design, and so much to explore. Even with how busy it was, everything felt well organized and the staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious drinks and loved seeing the unique menu items you can't find at a traditional Starbucks. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great spot to take a break while exploring the city. Whether you're a coffee lover or just looking for a unique Chicago experience, the Starbucks Reserve is definitely worth a visit. We'll be talking about this stop long after our trip and can't wait to return!

It used to be one of my favorite places, but this visit completely changed my impression. I wanted to try one of their new items Crispy Hash egg. However, the cashier added something we didn't ask for, and also I was charged for extra. When we received the order, we noticed it had an Prosciutto we didn't want, so we asked if it could be removed. The staff handled it poorly--they just took it off the top instead of remaking it properly, and it didn't work for us at all. It felt careless and honestly a bit rude. I also ordered a cappuccino, but it didn't taste right--too much milk and not the balanced flavor I expected. It used to be much better before. Another issue was the waiting time. We were told it would take about 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting around 30 minutes. That was the second big disappointment. Overall, I didn't enjoy this visit. It's sad because this place used to be one of my favorites, but now the quality and service feel like they've gone down.

There is a small market doenstairs with easy to grab pre prepared meals and wines as well as other snacks and beverages as well as trinkets and souvenirs. Since everything in the store is pretty expensive, I don't really purchase much. I have other family members gift a meal or two for me which was eggplant parmesean and I have to say that it was pretty tasty. The portion size i think is generous as well though it did make me really sleepy and nearly almost put me in a coma Nonetheless, it was pretty delicious. They have a wide variety of other goods to choose from as well downstairs. When you take the escalator or elevator to the upper floors, there are dry goods such as breads, tomato sauces, cheeses, bread, and much much more. The wine wall was pretty spectacular as well amd they divided the wines by region. The other part of the store has a stand alone restaurant towards the back which was packed. They also had these stations woth an open concept kitchen so you can see the chefs cooking as well as the bartenders preparing drinks. That was fun to witness as I walked by. It was very hustle bustle and they had one lounge style sit down eatery with waiters and another casual restaurant in the back with waiters. I highly recommend it if you have not gone. I think it's a Chicago must do!

The poor pastry staff is super patience with me and have to handle stupid question about the options for a husband that got got a super weak stomach and lactose intolerant (like you are in a freaking Italian grocery! Daily and oil and coffee is a must!). Another I was drooling on the cheese and meat section but cannot get any. The other staff is super patience to help me check out with a pint! The self checkout is easy to use even for a first timer. There were so much stuff I want to get but I got no room in my suitcase! It was early Sunday afternoon, and we were too large a group to arrive without calling ahead. You walk up a lovely old half-flight of stairs under an ornate ceiling. After a short wait, half of our party went elsewhere, and the remaining four of us were quickly seated. The front area is mainly a café, with maybe 10 seats at tables for two. Farther back is a hallway and a larger room with seating in booths and at high-tops for maybe 40, and maybe 6 more at a small bar. The staff is quick and friendly. The food is delicious and fresh and hot! And the music is loud and festive :-) We had the thin-cut savory palomillo steak, a generous serving, pounded to tenderness, served with classic wet black-beans and white rice, sweet soft platanos maduros plantain pieces, and some greens and tomato. We had a lovely colorful medium-sized Mojo Shrimp in tart garlic citrus mojo sauce, with sateed red onion crescents, tomato chunks, and parsley. And we had the huge slow-cooked tender shredded-beef Ropa Vieja pressed sandwich, sauced lightly with slightly-tangy creole sauce, served with platanos maduros and black beans.
