Do not get your car serviced here. My car went in for an inspection, and they told me I needed a new brake cable, they said it would be $2000 to get it fixed and inspected. Well I couldn't afford that so I picked it up and they said they charged me $80 for inspection but no new sticker just to pick the car up. I asked if I got it fixed, could I bring it back for a new sticker they said they would charge me another $80. I'm tired of these dealerships charging you for something they didn't do. read more

I wouldn't go here to buy a vehicle or get one serviced. I tried to buy my 2018 sierra Dinali HD from Joe Ball back in November he had the truck listed for $78,000 I found the same truck in Kentucky for $58,000 they told me it must be a scam I said OK let's call them up so we called them it was not a scam they would not match the price even know they were nationwide incentives on that vehicle so I ended up buying that truck in Kentucky for 58,000 So here I am in Pittsburgh so I obviously take it to Joe Ball for service because I live in Morningside. I have maintenance records from Joe Ball since the truck was new. I paid for a tire rotation every single time it was there every 3k Miles. I've now noticed that two of the tires on the front of the truck are rounded with Tread and the rear tires are square and Bald. One service manager (Jonathan) told me it's possible that they were not rotated the other manager and Joe ball himself told me that's not possible they are directing me to take this up with goodyear although I don't have the balls to go into a good year Dealer and try and force this dealerships mistakes on another business owner. This has been logically and scientifically investigated, they are trying to tell me that I had my tires over inflated even though I have an OnStar star Records showing that was never the case as this is a denali HD and it stores all of that information in the computer, Besides Joe #BAL is the only one that has ever changed the tire pressure on this vehicle. I have a feeling this is going to end up at the magistrate since I do not wish to waste anybody else's time with this issue. I would feel like a bafoon going to a goodyear Dealer and trying to blame this on them when it is scientifically impossible for these tires to have been rotated and wear the way that they did. They couldn't sell me the truck now they can't even rotate the tires on it. I Do not recommend this dealership to anyone especially if you don't know anything about vehicles, I could see how they would get over on a lot of unsuspecting customers. I paid for all of those tire rotations that did not happen and now there's a likelihood that I will have to fork out more money to rectify something that I paid for. Joe Ball collected my money and refuses to help with the situation at all besides send me to Goodyear and expect me to try and logically explain how they were rotated and somehow wore exactly how they would if they were never rotated. Makes sense right? I will now put my go Pro on the the truck every time it goes in for service at any stealership to make sure I'm getting what I pay for. read more

DO NOT buy or take your car there for service. Terrible sales and customer service. I bought a brand new truck that ends up having a known design flaw that causes it not to start. Happened about 10 times in my first year, leaving me stranded, late, sitting in the freezing cold etc. They said they knew nothing about it but the problem is all over the internet and after I contacted them again, they said a fix came down from GMC a month earlier but the didn't bother to contact people with the known problem. I left them my truck for a week to fix, it didn't fix the problem and they returned the truck with other things not working now. The seem to care less. Don't go there. Update: They responded below and said to call them if I need anything etc. The reason I am leaving reviews and have sought legal council is because they don't return calls/emails. Best dealership in Pittsburgh! I've been twice, once for an oil change and once to get my battery checked because it died and I had to jump start it. Both times I had great experiences, very friendly, helpful, and quick service. The prices are very affordable and fair and I never feel like they're trying to scam me because I very clearly know nothing about cars. They didn't even charge me to check my battery! Great place all around- thank you! Quick update, getting my second oil change here and one of the guys that works here drove me to the nursery down the street, sat there while I shopped, helped me carry my plants to and from the car and drove me back! Would not recommend going to this dealership. Sold me a used car, dirty and not detailed, with practically bald tires, and 50% oil life. When I asked prior to buying if they would ensure that theses things were taken care of I was told 'they'll take care of me'. That is not what was done!!!! When I called to ask if they would take care of these things, I was told there is nothing they could do and not helped. My husband and I purchase our vehicle here in May unexpectedly as ours was totaled in an accident. From start to finish, we had a fantastic experience. Matthew was amazing in making us feel as little worry as possible through this process. Our credit isn't the best do I was worried about finding something before our rental was due to go back. We looked at a bunch, sat in a few, and test drove a couple. Matthew was never pushy and answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly. We picked a car, signed the paperwork, met Joe Ball himself, and were ready to go. Matthew even offered to drive our new car to the rental place so we could turn ours in. We stopped in today for an oil change and everyone was just as friendly as our first experience. We love Joe Ball! read more

While Joe Ball continues to be my preferred choice for where to get service on our vehicle, this service visit was the worst we've had there. We brought in our car last Friday (actually dropped off Thursday night since we have only one car) for a small recall repair and to have front end serviced due to noise. The parts were not in, so we were told to bring our car back on Monday. I asked whether some of the repairs could be done on Friday to ensure we got done and was assured everything could be done on Monday. This was important since we planned to leave Tuesday mid-morning to drive to Georgia to care for our mother who had surgery last week. We brought the car back Sunday night. Monday afternoon we were told it was likely that not all service could be completed Monday (which we tried to avoid Friday!), and that it would need to be kept for a few hours Tuesday morning. Long story short, our car was not done until 3:30. I asked for a pickup and it would not have been available until at least 4:30, so we begged a ride from friends across town. Picked up car at 4:55. Paid and went to drive it off the lot, and the check engine and 'service stabilitrak' lights were on the dash. Had to turn around and come back to have that checked. Luckily it was a computer reset and was a 3 minute job - but this should have been noticed by the tech during the test drive but was not. We finally were able to leave town at 6pm. We just drove all night to get here in time. Aside from the delay (which was stressful for us given our schedule), the main thing I am disappointed about is that all of the unnecessary maintenance was completed before all of the required service. Our vehicle likely could have been done sooner had the non-critical things been saved for our inspection visit next month. This kind of experience makes me less willing to accept those suggestions in the future. To be clear, our service manager was very professional through all of this, and I remain a fan of Joe Ball. But this was not your finest hour. Special kudos to him for 'keeping his cool' when calling the tech back in to do the traction reset. It was clear the manager knew the tech hadn't finished the job and was very frustrated, but he simply gave him the "you know what you did wrong?" look. Quite effective. I came in to pick up my car after it being in for a transmission repair for the last week and a half. My windshield was cracked from top to bottom on the passenger side. My normal rep was busy so out came Brad Barnes. To my amazement Brad immediately went on the defensive throwing accusations and questioning whether I had done it? I was absolutely shocked. He was very aggressive and nothing short of nasty to me. He said, don't you have insurance? You take care of it. I was amazed. Insurance fraud, I did not do it, you did! I explained that it is not about money. It is about principal and ownership of a mistake. Brad does not seem to get this concept. He kept saying that I could have done it? Huh, it was not broken when it came in and now it is broke? Customer service is clearly not his strength. He failed to recognize that I was getting upset, he failed to seek a resolution, he failed to see that the customer needed HIS support. Instead he continued to flex his attitude and assert that I was wrong and it was my issue to deal with. Hint: Customers do not get work to do, that is the very essence of good customer service. Its a windshield. I will get it fixed on my own since Joe Ball will not take ownership of its error. Again, it is not about money it is about treatment, responsibility and principal. It's a shame. I guess you Joe Ball needs every dollar because I honestly believe that Brad was ready to hit me to ensure they did not have to fix their error. and spend a penny. Honestly its sad that they have to have a henchman cover mistakes with strong arm aggression. "The Joe Ball way". I own five automobiles this GMC a Jaguar and three Mercedes, the last four of which I purchased from Bobby Rahal in the last two years. I promise you that, Bobby Rahal would have apologized immediately, arranged a loaner, fixed my windshield and returned it the next day. Used car buyer beware. Our salesman is a family friend. Only reason we had returned after buying a lemon our 1st time. We have had multiple problems with 2 purchases only days after owning vehicle. We have had to get towed into the service department. They wanted us to pay for repairs after owning the vehicle for 3 days. No way! Had to fight tooth and nail and go to GM corporate to resolve another issue they refused to fix. Our wipers did not function properly. We were told they were a luxury! After fighting for 6 months and having corporate involved. The wipers were repaired. Thankfully, corporate GM said the wipers were a safety issue and not a luxury. Seriously???!!! Never going back. Never buy a car from Joe Ball's GM Suoerstore( what a joke ) in Glenshaw. He sold my 19 year old daughter a lemon and he won't even have the decency to help her out! She drove it off the lot with a broken emergency brake, no heat or AC, sunroof totally rusted out and leaking. Apparently none of this was tested before selling to her ! Yes things were fixed by Joe Ball and company ( minus the leaking sunroof which he refused to fix!!) Things went from bad to worse as she put in money for new tie rods, new sunroof ( still leaks as car is a rusty POS "flood car!") new brakes, rotors, calipers, all within 6 months of purchase. I say "flood car" as several people who looked st the underneath said it was so badly rusted ( rocker panels were shot!) that no way in 6 months time of owning could it get that bad. Must've sat in some water for quite a bit he said! Guy who inspected it said he never saw rust like that and it was very unsafe to drive.. he couldn't pass for inspection.. also, when my daughter went to put wiper fluid in for the first time, she found a rusty pair of scissors laying by the engine! Really? What mechanic forgot to take these out and what exactly were scissors in there for in the first place?!?! plus interior cloth keeps falling from doors and ceiling indicates a "flood car". It's sad Joe Ball has to take advantage of a 19 year old girl buying her first car to make his "money" She spent well over $6500 to drive it for less than a year! That's bullshit! She also wrote him a very detailed letter of all the troubles she's had with it and his email back was handwritten, very short and curt and basically said " too bad- so sad!" Dropped of my Denali because it intermittently would not start, sometimes leaving me stranded. Joe Ball's diagnosis was the battery. I argued that it could not be the battery, since it would eventually start again (maybe an hour later, maybe a day) but regardless they said it was dead and had it replaced. When I went to pick up the car, I wanted to talk to mechanic about it. There was plenty of staff hanging around but no one could answer a question, either they weren't mechanics or didn't work on my car - I just got "sorry, can't help ya". Since it was late, I just drove the car home with the new battery, but the next day same old problem -- it would not start. Overall, not a good experience. read more

What a poor customer service this place gives. I was brought in by a "promotion" they were having. When I got there I had to ask for help. Finally a salesman came up to me ask what I needed. No introduction or good morning. He looked bothered more than anything. I told him what I was looking for and again it seemed like I was bothering him. I asked about their promotion and was told immediately I didn't qualify. The promotion was more money on my trade. He asked me "If you got this promotion would you be buying?" I replied "Yes". He said "That's how it works." He said that's "How they do business no one qualifies" He told me it was "not him but the dealership." I told him he lost the $44,000 sale and he said "oh well" made a shrugging of shoulders then walked off. There are plenty of GMC dealerships in my area. No one needs this kind of service. Don't go here. Don't buy from them. Is this how you will get treated? If you do buy from them, how are you going to be treated after the sale? Don't risk it folks. If I were upside down on my trade or had bad credit, I could be more understanding on the promotion but sadly I'm not and I don't. They lost a sale and my business. read more
