The whole process was seamless. Michael was great to work with when it came to scheduling and confirming everything, and the building was easy to find. I took his advice and had the Uber go to the building across the street and it worked like a charm. Dapheney and Philipp were so wonderful when it came to hair and makeup. I felt gorgeous and just told them to do their thing based on what they thought would look best. (And as a bonus, I got to look hot when seeing a Broadway show that night.) I felt like an old Hollywood screen siren. Raya was professional and INCREDIBLE. I used some of her costumes and she helped me feel way more comfortable than I ever thought I could in my skin. She knew the right lighting and angles to bring out my best features, and did I mention it was so FUN? I didn't know I could pose like that. I was able to see all the photos within a day and was blown away by her skill. My boyfriend was so impressed too and had a hard time choosing his favorites because there were so many good ones. To start, we made an appointment over the phone and her instructions for how to get to her studio and how the service were clear and concise. Furthermore, I was very confident + comfortable with her attention to details re: COVID19. Everything was very clean and we kept both our masks on until the inevitable photos started being taken. What I found most helpful was her advice on structurally creating flattering conditions and also on what kinds of clothing/hair/makeup to prepare for the event while still being respectful and mindful of the client's tastes. For instance, I immediately just assumed since these photos were professional in nature, that a black blouse would be ideal. She gently advised me that actually wearing something with a bit more color to it would be even more flattering, make me look friendlier, and overall convey more personality in the photo. I was surprised to hear that advice but she is the pro, not me, so we both ran with the idea and I brought a few options. Boy was she right! The end product photos were a HUGE, MASSIVE, MONSTROUSLY large improvement over the unflattering, generic, poorly lit photos my company had been using and advertising with.
