No covid protocols by staff made me very nervous and uncomfortable. Also their updates were sporadic and contradictory between texts and their website. I also Felt they took longer than needed with my vehicle. I can't attest for anything positive or negative about the work but my car seems fine. Just be very careful and wear a mask when there and hopefully they will start as well. Update: just wanted to update that the same day I completed this review and the survey for this business. The area manager called me and apologized and advised immediate actions would be taken regarding the covid protocol at this location. She also Offered me to take my Car in free of charge to Another location to have it reviewed which I will probably take her up on. Called for a quote and was willing to send high-res, detailed pics, but the guy refused to accept that. Instead, he wanted us to bring the car in - driving all over Jacksonville (as you know, the LARGEST city size-wise in the nation) just to get a quote. I explained that we were not working with insurance, so the price was critical to us as we were paying out of pocket. I also explained that several other auto body shops had already provided quotes over the e-mail based on the high-res pics that we provided. Not only did the guy at this shop tell us that he wouldn't do the estimate, but he sarcastically told us "good luck!" when we requested a quote over the phone. You don't run a business with an attitude like this. Please be more respectful (and understanding), especially given the circumstances and the fact that your competitors were both willing and able to accommodate our very reasonable request. Oh, and we did have the repairs done by Victor's Auto Body (you can look them up) from an estimate that they also provided via our photos. I was very impressed with their customer service and the workmanship in completing the body work on my 2014 Ridgeline pickup. Although they "farmed" the actual work out to their facility in Yulee, Florida, I believe both locations went above and beyond to complete the work quickly and efficiently. Totally disinterested staff. I happened to be driving by and stopped in for a quick estimate on a simple repair job (windshield replacement and touch up some minor rust around the window frame). The receptionist wouldn't even ask if anyone was available. She first quipped "do you have insurance?" I said yes for the windshield but I'm paying cash out of pocket for the rust repair. She then decided it was worth wasting my time by splitting hairs and quipping again "we don't take cash, only credit cards." To which I was finally over it and said listen, I have a credit card that's beside the point, can I get someone to give me an estimate or not. She then said she could make me an appointment but no one would see me now. I said I'm here now and I'm not coming back, if you want my business, send someone out. She refused so I drove down the road to M&E Body Shop and got an instant quote and they will get my business as a result. This company is clearly phoning it in and collecting a tax credit as they are not interested at all in customer service or sales. read more

I'm incredibly lazy about writing reviews but my experience at O'Steen's Auto Body was so good that I feel I OWE it to others who may be wondering where to take their vehicle, so here goes nothing: I highly recommend them if you're in Jacksonville and in need of collision repair. I FINALLY took my vehicle in on Tuesday to get my front bumper and grill replaced (hit a tire shred on I-4 about 6 months ago) as well as my rear bumper (rear-ended by a drunk driver that fled the scene back in 2013 and was too pissed to fix it). The entire team was professional, pleasant, seamless with my insurance company, and got it back to me on Thursday - 3 days. O'Steen's saved my vacation! I got in a wreck two weeks before a road trip. The front end of my car was hanging on by a string and needed to be replaced. I was anxious to get it fixed but dreading the process of dealing with a body shop. From the beginning, O'Steen's made the process painless. They understood my timing issue and went above and beyond to make sure I was on the road within a week. There were a couple of setbacks that were out of O'Steen's control (parts not coming in on time) but they kept me in the loop and assured me my car would get fixed on time. I was side swiped on the back passenger quarter panel area. It was a brand new car not even a year old. I was worried of mismatched colors and possibly not looking right. O'Steens staff told me the work they would do and the possible length or the work. They assured me it would be done right. I came to get an estimate and they were adamant about not seeing me because they were closing soon. One lady started loudly explaining why they couldn't take 5 minutes to come see my car but she did finally get up to do a preliminary look at my car. She promised that someone would call me the next day to follow up and get me in for another quote with the specialists that could fix it. No phone call. Decided not to even bother calling again because they were in such a rush to go home the day before that it would have probably been a rushed job too. I was in an accident while coming into Jax to visit some friends on a Friday afternoon. A truck hit the car behind me and THEN rear ended me. I saw frame damage but my insurance company assured me that they could repair my car. My car was going to have to stay in Jax for pending repairs. I had to pick an auto body shop without knowing anything about shops in the Jacksonville area. I looked up the shops that my insurance company approved on yelp & liked the reviews of O'Steen's. I couldn't have made a better choice. After I hadn't been hearing much from my insurance company for about two weeks I called O'Steen's and they informed me that my car would probably be totaled. They asked me how I was doing because by the looks of the damage to my car, they thought that I got hurt pretty badly. The staff never left me on hold and they always called me back within an hour or two of needing to hang up with me. They shipped me my license plate and a couple of belongings that I had accidentally left in my car. Justin even wrapped my sunglasses in a paper towel AND in bubble wrap to make sure nothing happened to them in the mail. Marty called me later after O'Steen's had told me that my car would probably be a total loss and informed me that if I had repairs done on my car within the past year that I could possibly send the receipts to my insurance company to add value to my total loss. This was something I had never thought of and it actually worked. It ended up adding a couple of hundred dollars onto my total loss settlement. So even though this auto body shop did not really get any profit from me... they really helped me when I was in a bad situation. These actions speak louder than words. The accident I had in Jacksonville was a nightmare-- the police took their time & left us on I-95 for four hours before showing up. I am out of town so having to leave my car in Jacksonville and never see it again broke my heart. O'Steen's helped me and communicated with me any way that they could and took a lot of stress off of me. Thank you so much to the staff, especially Justin & Marty. Just brought my car in for an estimate regarding a scratch on my new Acura damaged in shipping. If you want the job done right. They don't want your business. I have used O'Steens a couple of times and they did a decent job but only with close inspection of the work when you go to collect your car. Both times there were glaring errors and unfinished issues with the car. They may not seem major, a piece of trim hanging off, not fully snapped in place and the screws on the rear door of my SUV were not the right size and were not put in correctly. And this was only what we could see! These were fixable and may not have been a big deal to some but when we spend so much time in our automobiles, driving our children and generally getting on with the business of life these things can be very important! Luckily my husband is a very detail oriented person and noticed these issues before we left with the defective workmanship. He took his time to wait several hours while they fixed things and helped them see what was not up to his standard. I recently had another small issue with my rear view mirror and after going in person to get an estimate and setting up an appointment I got a call that they did not want my business because we 'd been too hard to satisfy in the past. Really!? So I guess if you'd like your car fixed correctly I'd suggest you go find a garage that has your best interests in mind and a dedication to getting the job done RIGHT! I think that O'Steens has sadly lost sight of what is important. It is not a shiny new office building, or a diamond ring for the owners wife, or even the 5 star rating they will blatantly ask you to post but the people that they serve and the families they are impacting. read more

Osteen is just a bunch of thieves and liars. I took my car into them after a crash.  They never did call me by my name just the insurance company.  They gave me an est. and I told them that I wanted to get another one from a different company. By the time I got back to my house to call my insurance company they said that Osteen had already called them and had the money sent to them. I dropped off my car and told them to give me at least a days heads up that it would be fixed so I could arrange to get off work and pick it up. They told me "no problem"    I then got a call early one morning saying that it was fixed and to pick it up that day. I told them I could not and they said that they had let insurance company know it was done and I would have to pay for rental car till I picked it up. I was able to get there late that afternoon and when I looked at the car it had about 100 miles on it and the tires were covered in mud.  They said that their lot is covered in mud (even though it had not rained) and said nothing about the mileage.  Then I looked at the windshield and saw a crack in it. They said they had to take off the hood for repair but they did not make the crack.  Looking at the damage est there was no note to fix windshield. They refused to say they had done the damage then they said to go ahead and get it fixed and they would change the paperwork to charge the insurance company.  I told them that they broke it and they need to fix it and lets go look at the before pics to see if it was damaged before.  They went into the office looked at the computer screen for about 10 mins and then said that they had accidently deleted those pics. Then they gave me my keys and said they were locking up for the day and to get my car off of their lot or they would have it towed. read more

Excellent customer service! Infinity QX50 had front-end damage right before Christmas. Jennifer kept us updated and coordinated with our insurance carrier to make the entire process easy on us. A few days after pick up, we noticed that the hood wasn't completely latching. Rob came out to our house and fixed it on the spot. My car looks great and I'm very impressed with the high level of customer service. Hopefully we never need their services again, but if so, this will be our body shop of choice. I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated to and how I was spoken to by the appraiser Bruce, the owner Mark, and was mocked by the receptionist Lisa at the Atlantic location. I was chastised and talked down to like a child for driving my car there. Mark said he was giving me a sales pitch but it was more of a condescending speech on how badly damaged my car was as if I didn't know. I'm 32 years old, I've had six cars, I am not uneducated nor was I treated with any kind of customer service. My boyfriend and I were there for over two hours and Lisa made a joke about my boyfriend not having somewhere to live because he was the one that got into the fender bender. I actually had to ask her to knock it off and tell her it wasn't appropriate. Bruce had told me that he would call me the next day and did not. Nor did he call the following day. Instead he sent an email while I waited for his call and was notified by my insurance. When I read the email, I was unimpressed by his short explanation and lack of effort to actually inform me of my vehicle's status. I would give the Atlantic store a 0 if I could. Learn some customer service and treat people with respect. Go elsewhere! read more

I spent a month looking for a place to take my car. My friend accidentally sideswiped my car. So when I brought it here the staff was very nice and explained the process of what would go on very clearly. The only reason for the 3 stars is because my car was there for 10 days and I wasn't updated once. The main reason I brought my car here was the ratings, but also because the person who inspected my car let me know that they would keep me updated on my car through the process which was a huge relief. Basically they told me that they wouldn't do anything to my car without letting me know. I'm new to the area so when days went by without hearing anything I stared second guessing my choice of bringing it here because I had no clue what was going on. The insurance company actually called me a week later to let me know my car was in reassembly. I still had no idea if there was extra work done to my car or not. My car looks fine. They seem to do pretty great work. I'm not sure if I would recommend going here. They have a life time warranty. So if anything goes wrong I know I can bring it back here to be fixed. But I ended up having to call them to see if my car was finished and honestly I didn't like that. I understand things happen, customers fall through the cracks, but I don't believe it's an excuse when you tell people one of the great things about your company is that they keep you updated. read more

I recently had front end damage to my truck. Osteen's is recognized by my insurance. I found extra comfort in that being several friends confirmed they were the best. The problem I encountered was detrimental. My truck is 15 years old and over 180k miles. However old, well maintained! Sadly, repair costs were near threshold for insurance purposes so it was declared "totaled". This was unacceptable as I am closing on my new house in a month. I was fortunate that Osteen's was there to guide me! Lisa's help and advice through the process was invaluable. Don't get me wrong, my insurance was very helpful as well. I've reconciled with insurance and will pay a salvage fee to retain my truck. The parts are affordable and I can repair my truck with the insurance money after all. With an inspection from the DMV, I'll have a clean title and be able to focus my energy on the new home again! I can't say enough about how awesome these folks are! If you don't pay them extra, then extra again, you will have results that is not quality paint work. Do not let them hard convince you their paint work is perfect if you know it is not. Make them correct it. Do not accept the car until it is done right. Arguing with them is what they love, so don't fall into that with them. I thought they were supposed to be one of the better shops in town, they are not even close. BE VERY careful with their estimates. They will tell you they are doing one thing, give you a vague looking estimate, and then you have to argue with them to correct their nonsense. Take the estimate to another shop, also tell them what they promised you to another shop to critique. A good and honest shop will tell you what they are doing and not. If you go in with an insurance claim, that is where they are the worst. They call their sucky job "insurance level work." I hope the insurance catches on to this, and cuts them from their preferred group. I never lost so much sleep and felt so mistreated in my life. TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING (before and after), get super clear email answers, because if they avoid answering clearly, then be worried. read more
